  1. Had mine for nearly a year now. Been in for one recall (ABS), not yet heard if it needs the airbag one. Problems so far: - Sun visor fell off. Citroen put new mounting on - Passenger door wouldnt close properly. Citroen Fixed handle - Rear windscreen seal began to come off. Citroen pushed back in - Glovebox door fell off one of hinges. Citroen put back on Now: - Windscreen cracked by stone, just in front of windscreen air vent during January frost - coincidence? - Roof rack mounts have gone rusty, causing problems with Thule roofrack - Rear brakes squeel at low speeds - Seal coming off rear windscreen (again) - Wind deflector pulled off front windscreeen by carwash, despite manual saying can go in carwashes. - Drivers seatbelf doesnt recoil any more without being 'fed' back. I think that is all. Overall i am very happy. We shall see how happy i am when i go to Citroen and ask to get some of the above fixed. Currently waiting to see if i can get it done at same time as recall, if i need one. No problems with paint, that i've noticed (except the scratch i managed to put into the drivers door, whilst in a multistorey carpark :P ) Not overlly impressed with petrol consumption. No matter what i do, can't improve on 33mpg (by trip computer) One very good point. I can get two full sets of golf clubs, a trolley, and a couple of pairs of shoes, and jumpers n coats in the boot. More than can be said for my father-in-law's BMW 5 series!! He has to put the 2nd bag on the back seat.
  2. Perfectly happy with just the 3 doors :D
  3. Are Citroen planning on releasing the saloon over here in the UK ?
  4. Scroll up to the top, My Controls, Edit Avatar settings, then either link the URL to where you store a photo/ani-gif, or upload one.
  5. The bolts are the original ones that came with the Thule roofrack (brand new in Aug 05). The Thule 3019 fitting kit was supplied specifically for Citroen C4s. Rather than using the supplied allen key, for speed i use a socket set, but never tighten it more than (i think) i should. The Thule instructions say to tighten the bolt until you cant lift the roofrack off the roof, or wobble it around. When the bolt got stiff, i lifted the roofrack up a few mm, so it definately had further to go. Barns, you may be right about the cross-thread.
  6. Thanks to Syrup. Here's a quick photo of my C4: http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g222/matcapel/MyC4.jpg
  7. Have anyone else's roofrack mountings gone rusty?
  8. I've got a pic of my Oriental Blue Coupe, but no-where to host it. Any help please?

  10. Just tried to put my Thule roofrack on my C4. Popped open the little covers, to find the mounting holes covered in rust. Not sure how that fits in with the anti-rust warranty? Anyone know? Anyhow, put the front bar on without any probelm, but when i screwed in the two rear roofbar supports, they got very stiff. So put a tiny squirt of wd40 and tried again. The bolt sheered in half, leaving the bottom half in the roof mount! The roofbars are under a year old, bought in August '05. I've only used them twice to transport bikes. When not in use they are stored in the loft. Anyone else had any problems? Anyone think this is a Citroen-caused problem or a Thule-caused problem (or a me-caused problem)?
  11. The trip computer on mine says 33mpg. No matter how i drive i cant really effect it. I drive 15 miles to/from work each day, half of that journey i rarely get above 2nd gear. And at weekends, i generally drive 20 miles along 60 limit roads. Not done any motorway driving recently.
  12. Wozza, i dont quite understnad what you mean.
  13. Guys. Has anyone noticed the seatbelt becoming slack, sometimes even needing it to be 'fed' back into the slot in the door column? I use the foldout bracket from the chair handle to stop me having to reach back, but i wouldnt have thought that should make a difference. Am going to get Citroen to have a look at it, just wondered if its a C4 coupe problem, or just mine.

    C4 Remote

If you don't have the car with you why carry the remote? Just leave it on the hall table. Ian Black 55 VTR+ Even better, leave it in the car ignition, that way you and your wife can share the one key ! :D

    C4 Remote

Could it be because the frogs drive on the other side, and citroen didnt swap the door locks over for right hand drive models? In much the same way as the wipers are orientated to suit left hand drive, better than right.

    C4 Remote

I got one foldaway key remote control, and a plain key (that only opens passenger door). I wish i had shouted about it more when i got the car, especially if the price for a 2nd remote that i have been told on here is correct.
