  1. To be honest, the picture was taken a few months back, I just forgot I had put it on the computer. I believe it was taken using my mums phone, which is a little pink sliding Nokia (dont know the number). I have since had my side strips colour coded.
  2. Its gone now, there is no way on gods green earth I would like it. I can definately cnfirm it was bird poo, and a sodding big bird as well. He was either sitting on my roof when he did it or it was a fantastic fly by shot!!!!
  3. http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/2401/image003xp8.jpg How big must this bird have been???
  4. You know when you push the 'Windscreen Clear' button and it directs all air at the window and switches the fan on to full speed??? Mine doesnt do that anymore. If I push that button, the air goes to the right place, but the fan comes on two notches short of full. Needless to say in the mornings when there is a little mist on the inside, it takes ages to clear!!! Anyone got any ideas???
  5. Completely of topic, but I have discovered that compared to a lot of cars, the Cruise Control on the C4 is lovely. For example, my brothers Civic, it does the job, but you can feel the CC 'hunting' around trying to maintain the set speed. The C4's isnt like that, its smooth and unobtrusive. I wouldnt say Citroen are a technological leader, but they are keeping up ok. I'd still say Mercedes leads the way with new incar technology, and Maybe Honda with the new Legend (terrible name for a terribly dull car, very clever though). Even VW have experimanted with a Golf that will drive itself using cameras to 'view' its surroundings.
  6. I do like sections, saves you having to trawl through loads of other stuff to find what you want. I would say that due to the size of this forum as it is, it may not yield immediate benefits, but it will in the future if the site gets really big. It is handy and as you still have the search function, new post function and the fact it logs the threads you have already made into your User CP, it should make the place any more difficult to use.
  7. The headlamp washers probably just need adjusting. The cruise is probably an iffy clutch or brake pedal switch. Cant really comment on the window. Sorry.
  8. Not sure why the instructions are wrong. I assume it could be for one or several reasons, the instructions are written for a Peugeot, the instructions are written for Aux 1, but it seems Aux 1 is dedicated to a changer in the C4.
  9. You need to rewire the lead by removing the small pins at the radio end plug and moving them to new pin locations. Ill bet its wired like this... 7 - Red 1 - White 2 - Black But it should be like this... 11 - Black 10 - Red 4 - White Hope this helps.
  10. Yes, the back ones are C pillars. My A pillar windscreen trims are coming off at the moment, that is on the list for the next time it goes in. I believe this was a fairly common problem with the C4's.
  11. Bet its a bit cheaper for you to run as well!!! I dont know what ill be buying next. As Lee said, I cant really afford to get rid of the car, but I was seriously thinking of letting it go in the new year at some point and buying another car. However, after KFK took it under his wing for a few days, I've kind of fallen back in love with it and its a plesure to drive again. Still gotta get the suspension looked, I still feel that there is something not quite right there.
  12. Why are you selling the C4??? Yours is one of the nicest on the site!!! Edit, just read the whole thread properly!!!
  13. Sod my, i feel so bad for you, that is atrocious. Ill bet it was a young scally or something thinking he's Schumacher or something. Its funny, I still visit a Rover forum and a guy on there has just had his MGTF side swiped on a 2 lane round about. I do hope it can be sorted, but it is a lot of panel damage. I truely hope you can have some sort of merry christmas after this.
  14. Thanks, I'd appreciate that very much. When I have time i'm going to sit down and write a letter to send to your dealership to. The car feels lovely now. Ive just been out in it. The clutch is smooth as silk, and it feels like it pulls a lot more strongly, possibly down to the new Cat, I dont know.
  15. Massive thanks to KFK. You might remember from a short while ago that I had taken my car to Hidsnons in Gravesend and they told me the car needed a new clutch, but it would cost me £450 if they investigated and found nothing wrong. I became a bit hacked off with this and so KFK stepped in. The long and short is, my car has just spent the last 3 days in KFK's company at Hidsons in Rainham and I cant fault anything that he has done for me. He spoke to the service manager for me at Gravesend and they allowed the work to be done at Rainham. So on Wednesday morning, I dropped my car off at Gravesend and picked up the C1 courtesy car again. My car was then collected from Gravesend and taken to Rainham, where it has had a new Catalytic converter, Middle box, Clutch and clutch fork, plus the XYT recall and a new radiator free of charge. It has also had new brakes all round to try and cure a juddering under brakeing. I'm waiting until they are bedded in before I test this myself. Also, whilst on a test drive, the tester heard the cracking coming for the suspension. Whilst nothing has been done about this yet, at least it has now been heard by someone at a dealership, so I can get this booked in and investigated at a later date. The car was dropped back up to Gravesned to day, with all the work completed, plus it had been cleaned inside and out. I am just so pleased that someone has listened to me and not just tried to fob me off. So, as I say, I extend massive thanks and praise to KFK for stepping in and sorting this out for me.
  16. To high, to high, toooooo high!!!
  17. Ive got kick plates. You really want to fit them your self, cause I dont know how much they would be to fit, but they are only 'Stick on'.
  18. Now that is very interesting... Ages ago I found a piece of rubber, about 1'' or so long with a small hole up the middle (not all the way through). I found it on the floor mat in the drivers footwell and I didnt know where it came from. It looks very much like those plastic supports that screw into the back of car radios. Anyway, I had it for ages and chucked it away. Now, my car is going in tomorrow for the clutch to be investigated. Could this be related???
  19. This random piece of rubber... Is it round and long with a hole up the middle (Ooo err!!!)???
  20. Good. They do look a lot whiter. When I first saw the bulbs, I though they were gonna look chavy blue, but they're white when they are on. I think they just set it off once all the others have been replaced.
  21. Id love the C4, I love all the garish reds and white wheels!!! Anyway, the interior isnt that red, have you ever seen the interior of a Rover BRM 200!!! I assume it is a VTS in drag???
  22. What you need for next time is as follows... Viper Stripes, +5BHP Blue LED Washer Jets, +10BHP Green under car Neons, +10BHP (only if they are on though) You also need to adopt the correct posture, hunched forward, arm around the top of the steering wheel and nose about 1'' from th screen (this maybe difficult to achieve in the C4). This gives to an ability to see furthur ahead (whilst looking 'Cool) and hence drive faster.
  23. I doubt there was any significance, just a Charva scum trying to impress his spotty, greasy scrapped back haired girlfriend... "Check dis acceleration out boi..." queue the drop into 2nd and the screaming, tappety sound of a high revving M k3 Fiesta. Idiots.
  24. Did anyone go and see GoogleWhack??? I did, at Folkstone, it was feckin fantastic!!!
  25. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Citroen-C8-Peugeot-8...1QQcmdZViewItem This ones the Near Side aint it???
