Thats the problem with my dealership I think. The problems my car has arent exactly major, so maybe they dont want to spend the time fixing them when they could be doing something else that they will get paid for.

That interior looks gorgeous, much better than the C4's. That interior in a C4 would be a perfect car. Maybe the facelift C4 will get a similar interior, when ever it arrives.
-
I like that styling kit and I think at some point in the future, it will probably adorn my car.

IS NOW WORKING!!! Its only taken them about, Mmmm a year!!! Anyway, its here

I dont know how Citroen works, but surely you can justify the time by saying you had a problem you hadn't encountered, you worked it out, that information is now available to Citroen for future reference and to top it off, you fixed that customers car.

Its not just a case of turning the polisher on and rubbing hard, you have different pads, different speeds etc. You can get rid of swirls using hand stuff. You need an oily polish, and microfibre cloths.

Our garage kept hetting broken into. We have an 'up and over' door, and what we did was this... The sheet metal outside of the door is fixed to a metal frame which is on the inside of the garage. A 1/2'' hole was drilled through the frame at the bottom and into the concrete base. A length of 1/2'' steel bar was then bent to form a 90 degree bend. The bend was put a quarter of the way along the bar, so 3/4 go through the frame and into the concrete base. You just pull it out when you want to open the door, then when you close it again, just drop it back in the hole. The garage hasnt been broken into since, although occasionally someone has ago.

Have experienced this as well, enough to get the passenger seat to vibrate(no one sat in it).... Thankfully this is a v.rare occurance. After sitting in traffic yesterday on the way home the vibration has raised its ugly chops again. Nowere near as bad a sprevious experiences though... Think he means the black bits to either side of the screen. My Passenger side one is coming off at the top.

Welcome Mike. Im Mike to!!! You will have to be called Fred so I dont get confused!!! Anyway, that dent looks nasty. TBH, I reckon that may be cut out and weld in job, cause you cant reshape a sill unless you use filler, and that is a massive area to fill. Anyway, hope you get it sorted. I have a VTR+, which is currently sitting with 25,100 miles on the clock. Its an April 2005 car, thats about 1400 miles per month average!!! It hasnt stood up to it too badly. I have some issues, and my interior is becoming fairly rattly to be honest, doors, seatbelts, rear plastic trim, boot... you name it, its rattling at the moment!!! Think it might be the cold weather, everything is shrinking (to which I can relate!!!) Anyway, I still enjoy the car, and I hope you enjoy yours. Any questions, just ask. PS, I too have a dent in my passenger door and sill. Seems to be a fairly common thing for C4's!!!

My clutch has the notchy, nobbly feel to it after prolonged use to. My list of niggles is steadily growing I'm afraid. I now have... Notchy Clutch Leaky Air-Con into passenger footwell Strange Noise from Exhaust Knocking Front Suspension Groaning Rear Suspension.

Unfortunately, the Rover subjected there cars to 'Project Drive' which was a cost cutting excercise, so standards did fall towards the end. The other thing is, what do you expect from a supermini??? Its hardly going to be a super car is it!!! It argue that the steering on the 25 isnt too bad, it just doesn't communicate to the driver very well (as with the C4). The ZR and 25 share the same steering rack, just the suspension is different. I could actually get my 200 round some corners faster then the C4 I now own. As for re-packaging PSA plastics and sending them to Rover... How??? Surely a piece of PSA trim would not fit a Rover.

Explain that... It wasnt a massive drain on Taxpayers. It wasnt even a massive drain when it went under. A 12M Bridging LOAN (which was paid back from the sale of IPR) plus several small grants to suppliers is hardly a drain. The cars, whilst I agree they werent modern or very technologically advanced (except 75/ZT which was basically a mini 3 series) were not too bad. From my standpoint, they looked ok and they came loaded with some serieous kit, the last of the line 25/45's even came with leather interior as standard. Build qulity was no where near as bad as people think it is. So why do you HATE Rovers...?

Ahhh, I liked my little Rover. I had a 1998 214, with the rarely found Air-Con!!! It was a great little car. i went all the way to the South of France in that car and it didnt let me down once. Great engine the K series to. It has its problems (as do many engines) but what a noise once you get past 4.5k RPM!!!. Bit old school in its delivery, really didnt work below 4k RPM, but after that, it proper shifted for a small engine. 103BHP out of a 1.4. Not too bad i reckon!!!
-
Do you mean Mini or MINI??? There's a whole world of dfference you know!!!
-
I suppose some could be a bit doddery and slow, I mean, most Rover drivers are about 80!!!
-
Rover Drivers?! :o I was a Rover driver and I consider myself to be a fair driver, in my opinion of course. I never get road rage, dont beep people, occasionally I might flash my lights.
-
I dont. I like my teeth in my head!!!
-
The only things that I think may be affected warrenty wise would be driveshafts, hubs etc, suspension related componenets (or at least, anything they can aim at non OEM suspension).
-
Wish my C4 looked like that. That just LOOKS like its going to demolish everything. Did anyone think that it looked a little speeded up in places???

Blaupunkt Do A C4 Can-bus Stereo Harness Adapter
Mike5483 replied to Mike5483's topic in C4 - Technical
Yeah. I wanna upgrade the stereo, but even though I dont really use the sensors (I dont have them switched off, I just dont rely on them for parking), I still want them to work. Im thinking of getting a Becker Grand Prix 9770. It looks pretty much standard. -

You can connect your IPod using Aux 2. There is loads of information on this, do a quick search for MP3 or IPod or Aux 2 and see what comes up.

Just to add to this, They are not legal on the continent and if you are found using them, they will be confiscated and you will recieve a very hefty fine.
