  1. Thanks for that Wozza
  2. i just did something that really pee's me off  I've given this a heading and description and used the wrong 'by' Grrrrr.
  3. Morning all, thought i'd start this off for anyone passing by that just wants to say hi......or whatever in whatever language. So, morning folks............hope your all well this wonderfull weekend. Anyone out doing anything worthwhile? Thinking of going to the gym here......but its only a thought
  4. If you are going to use an aftermarket radio in the vehicle you would have to consult the manufacturer of that equipment regarding adapters for the steering controls.
  5. had customers ask about this mainly in C3. If your aproaching a roundabout and slowing down without braking all goes well untill your nearly on top of it, and then you feel the car start to pick up speed. You will find in that instance its a characteristic of being in the wrong gear at too slow a speed and the engine reacting to the low engine revs and that its likely to stall. The instances i have had this it has been in 2nd and 3rd gear. I guess thats why they give us a clutch and 1st gear & brakes Basically, if your in gear and try to drive the engine below a certain engine speed it wont let you.
  6. Part number for the covers is: 6438P2 - RIGHT 6438P3 - LEFT Price £34.87 inc vat each
  7. Whilst tyres are black round and come at various prices they will differ in there wear characteristics. More than likely its a combination of tyre type and driving style. However, to confirm that i would advise the wheel alignment is checked to confirm it doesnt have too much toe in or wear in the suspension/steering components. What tyres did you have on the vehicle previously and how long did they last?

    Lowering

Other things to add to the list of things not covered with suspension lowering: - The gearbox. - Inner wheel arch splash shields - rear light wiring (when the splash shield wears through - the boot carpet It isnt uncommon for me to see vehicles lowered so far that the driveshafts are pointing upwards, the steering was all over the place and chaffing on power steering pipes and the differential was being sandwiched and pushed in all sorts of directions. Personally, i'd say leave it alone, but then i'm biased, i see the bills people pay for their trials and errors.
  9. Go check you bullitens....After Downloading 39.1 into pluriel: Sunroof inop and rear screen not working follow info rapid C3 9 NO11. PM me if you need more info
  10. Obviously the easy answer would be to drive with the window closed......but expect i just got a glare for suggesting that  To offer advice you need to establish under what conditins the problem exists: - tank full? - worse on cold start? - worse when reversing? - does it do it on hot days if it has been standing? - has it had any body work damage to the driver side front? - has the problem only just started? - have you only just bought it and its done it since you've had it? - does it do it if you lower a different window instead of the drivers one? - does it do it if you open 2 windows?
  11. Believe it or not, it could be your hazzard switch causing the problem......i seem to remember the indicator switch passes through the hazzard switch before going to the relay. Yes i know the hazzards work....but when you cancel the hazzards i'm sure it has to make contact internally to connect indicators. Try disconnecting the hazzard switch. At the harness plug, connect terminals 2 & terminal 1 together. Operating the indicators they should now work.....if they do your hazzard switch is faulty. Obviously you carry out the above at your own risk......i would recommend using a 10 amp fuse in the wire you use to bridge the wires together......at least it will blow if either i have got it wrong or you do it wrong!
  12. Was thinking more along the lines of the bsi getting replaced or updated and the wire that controls the trigger for the roof has to be swapped to a different terminal.....cant for the life of me remember which one at the moment.
  13. Its a common fault that aftermarket radios cause the central locking to operate incorrectly. Short answer is you need to get the radio fitted correctly. Citroen do a short wiring adapter to assist in this. I suggest you return the vehicle to who ever fitted it and get them to resolve the problem.
  14. Have you had to update or replace the BSI ?
  15. No.......we wouldnt, weve got a tool to lock it in place........i just hate having to tell snivelling customers that they've broken it and its not my fault they took it apart.
  16. 1, There are no digital/optical connectors 2, I've no idea 3, There are no nasties around the steering wheel area......but dont remove the steering wheel as you will never get the gears back in synch with each other. 4, No you cant turn off or alter the length of the economy mode.
  17. I'm pretty sure that the engine shut off feature is incorperated within the airbag ecu. Unfortunately, if thats the case the airbag ecu may have to be replaced or at least have the fault codes read and erased by a a main dealer. If it isnt in the airbag ecu its possible, but i think unlikely you will find a switch under the bonnet fairly high up near one of the top suspension turrets
  18. Now i've heard of the Gnats tadger.......but isnt the hamsters penis taking it a bit far! Still i spose knocking the end of it would make your eyes water so its as good a measuring stick as any
  19. You dont say how old your xsara is, however the wiring harness runs down the off side of the vehicle to behind the right rear lamp and then under the boot carpet, across the rear of the car to the left rear lamp.
  20. Check inside the rubber gaitor by the right tailgate hinge....with a bit of luck you will find a broken wire or two......let us know how you get on.
  21. sorry......was that a dig? .......and since you ask......£59.95 per hour plus vat......how long do you want me to take over my next cuppa and fag break?
  22. Get a spare seat belt buckle from the local breakers plug it in and away you go....it thinks your seat belts in.
  23. The Owners :(
  24. £9.52 actually
  25. When I test drove a VTR HDi, it definitely soaked up the bumps better than my VTS, and I was very impressed with the ride quality. My VTS does seem to crash over the potholes sometimes, and generally seems firmer. I thought I read somewhere that all C4 models have the same suspension. Is that really true? 8 types of rear damper 3 types of front damper at least 7 types of front spring at least 3 types of front anti rollbar at least 3 different rear springs
