Welcome Woz. I have a problem with my C5 reverting to Economy Mode after leaving the car and the dealer found a problem connected with the radio. Hope that helps, I'm not mechanically minded unfortunately :rolleyes:

Typical. Kfk down south, Iannez up north and me slap bang in the middle if I need any help. Good job my Citroen dealer is just as good as you guys :rolleyes:

Just got C1 back today, total bill including VAT is £1400 ouch. Biggest part cost was new headlamp which had a tiny scratch at £120 plus VAT. Still awaiting Police report on other driver, that will run and run presumably.

Greedypig Is it a new C5 and did you get a good deal?

I used to subscribe to What Car? but got fed up with the way they suck up to Ford all the time. Surprise surprise they gave the new Mondeo five stars When Citroen put the 2.2Hdi in the C5, What Car said crackling engine, shame about the car. Sorry What Car?, not for me anymore.

My dealer calls them cross dressers :lol:

A reliable Citroen? What Car ? would rather shut down than admit to that ! :lol: My C5 with 80k on the clock has been brilliant. I would like another one before they change the shape though and the prices go up. The VTX+ is excellent value when I have to become a company car driver again next time.

Thanks Toblerone for your welcome advice, daughter is fine. Just been to cop shop where uninsured car has been imponded and it was an 07 plate so someone must have insured to get it. Thanks again, I'll keep all informed if I learn any more. Regards Eddie

Daughter's C1 got hit by uninsured idiot on a provisional licence. Police involved and dealing but how can I claim back the £550 excess? Civil action? Needs new wing and front bumper :P

Sir Kfk I would have had a Pluriel but SWMBO would have gone nuts at me. I didn't know there was a Mini forum. Not as exciting as Citroen one I bet. Anyway a Mini is for 3 years, Citroen is for life ha ha. Any news on the new C5 later this year before I order then? I know what your answer is but can you give me a sneak answer? Thanks Eddie

Welcome to the Forum. Just a quick tip from me. Get to know your Service Department at your local Citroen Dealer (preferably a family run one, not a big chain of multiples) and build a relationship with the Service Manager. When your car is in for repair or service, you can trust them on price and works carried out. If my Service Manager told me black was white, I would believe him! Enjoy.

I didn't think you cpuld put 6 months road tax on £35 band. Might be wrong tho.

I heard that there had been a strike at the Aulnay factory where the C3's are made. Not sure if this affects delivery times though.

I think one of the clamps has come loose following fitting of new Particulate Filter. I will let you know as car in for 75k service tomorrow.

Just opened my bonnet and found a deposit of back soot about the middle of my 1.6 110 HDI engine. Don't know how long its been there, last service was 62.5k in January and a new Particulate filter fitted in February. Any ideas anyone? Thanks

Robbie I have a Mark II and you can't choose just intermittent without choosing automatic unless you do it manually.
