  1. Thanks sally and Wozza for your appreciated comments
  2. Thanks Kfk. I have driven one and went back to garage and said there was a hole in the exhaust , doh :) A C2 is also a good choice with 2 yearly servicing, but as this will be her first car, the lower insurance, economy, and road tax makes sense. I can feel my wallet groaning.......... Regards
  3. Looking to buy a new C1 for my daughter. Any good/bad experiences out there?
  4. I thought the extended warranty was pretty well in parallel with new car warranty though.
  5. I know that they have extended replacement of the DPF on the New Look C5 to 75k miles as opposed to 50k on the previous model. Although I had my system regenerated at 51k as it was showing RISK OF BLOCKED PARTICULATE FILTER, it has started coming back again. May need a replacement quicker than 75k then. I tend to let my fuel tank run nearly empty before filling, so the ELOYS fluid is topping up less often. That's my tuppence worth on the subject then
  6. Kfk On the Picasso website, it seems there is a dash display for cruise on retro fitting. Does this apply to the cruise/limiter console only, or is this a mainland European display only? Thanks Eddie
  7. Agghhh, green blood then <_<
  8. now where did i say i recommend <_< never dealt with them before.....just saved someone the job of looking if they needed to know. Phew, I was worried you were getting a bit disillusioned as you get older thats all
  9. Citispares - as recommended by Kfk <_<
  10. But John, the Pic 16v was introduced 12 months ago and still needs an annual service? Have they used an 'old design'?
  11. Picasso 1.6 16v - 12,500 miles or annual service. 1.6 16v in other Citroens - 20,000 or 2 yearly service. Usual Citroen logic  Kfk reckons due to different oil.
  12. Sacre bleu!
  13. I bought the Citroen ones for the Picasso for about £40. Quality was poor, kept rattling and the pins that held them down started lifting when they were opened which caused them to drop off. Took them back and got a refund. Buy a couple from Halfrauds for a tenner.
  14. I know that Citroen diesels are in Jaguars due to the PSA/Ford agreement.
  15. Big John Welcome to the site, I'm sure all questions will be answered by next March by the C4 experts! I'll be looking to change my C5 for a C4 in early 2008, so I keep an eye out on this forum. Regards Eddie
  16. Had the rear high level brake light on my C5 replaced under warranty due to condensation in. Would yours be claimable?
  17. John There used to be an advert with a chap driving on a winding road, and another with a couple relaxing with their agitated children , but both were for mk 1's. I haven't seen one at all for the new look C5, now 2 years old.
  18. Morning Kfk Going to the gym today? Have you had the sack or something  Bet they'll ring you so keep your mobile on ha ha. Still pondering about extending warranty to 5 years on Pic, my dealer is trying to put me off so I can change before then! Have a good weekend. Eddie
  19. I got caught crossing a solid white line in the road 4 years ago while overtaking a tractor just before they became broken lines. It was a straight road and could see for a long distance. Copper said that as there was a layby further down the road, someone could be pulling out. £60 and 3 points. Thanks a lot mate.
  20. When I picked up my C5 on 26 April 2005, I looked up the build date and it said 15 September 2004 <_< Probably sat in a field in France for 6+ months.
  21. Took C5 in to look at Particulate Filter, and the ELOYS fluid was fine, so they regenerated the sysyem. Could do with a bit of regeneration myself <_<
  22. E mailled Churchill and told them I wasn't happy. Customer Services rang me to apologise and to refund the charge. Should bl**dy well think so
  23. Does anyone know if this wiper grommet leaking problem applies to the new look C5?
  24. Gosso1 Sorry to hear about the problem. As I am in no way a mechanic, can you explain exactly what the problem is, and why it will cost £3.0k to fix? Did you get a breakdown of such a quote?
  25. Thanks John, I never thought of that. It seems we are now in the world of charging for duplicates for anything. I suppose there will be a cancellation fee etc, but I will remember for next time.
