Well not sure about the back windows but the front windows I believe can no longer be tinted without risking police action. On a personal note when I had mine tinted the guy who did it gave me one of the lighest tints he could do on the the front windows - and I have never been pulled. I think a lot of it has to do with what car you drive, and what you look like. I.E If you look like a chav and your driving an orion with limo tints, your bound to get 3 points lol

Dropped the C4 in this morning to hopefully get the grating noise fixed - in the last visit to the dealership they identified the problem as the gear linkage knocking against the exhaust...so spacers are being fitted along with one or two minor faults being fixed. We shall see! Hopefully the car can be picked up tonight, or maybe tomorrow.

I totally agree with you there. I used to go down the route where, if asked a question in work, I would try and blag it. I usually got caught out in the end, and now I stick to telling people I will find out the answer and get back to them. I find people appreciate it more. <_<

I dont sorry m8 - if I do have it then it'll be on the repair summary sheet from Citroen which is buried somewhere back at my place. (In work atm). I've had the brake issue undertaken, and since then I still experience occassional sqeaking. Annoying but not critical. The car is going in this Thursday for the engine/gearbox issues, although I'm now told it is to do with the exhaust. We shall see!

Dont be embarrassed...they should make sure it all works from the outset!

I suffer from the judder..but only in the morning when pulling away from the house, and pulling onto the driveway at nights...I think its simply down to me not giving the car enough revs...im very light footed!

I want a performance exhaust yes, but I dont want a nova sound thanks! There is a company in Cardiff called pro-speed, and the guy who works there really is an expert at producing exactly what you want. I've asked for a quote and he's come bk with £268 for a full system. I'm waiting on a quote from him too for a back-box only - not really sure if I need a full system, as its' only a 1.4! I'm wanting pretty much no/little noise on idle/city driving, but gives out a nice note when you open the car up and let all of my 90 odd horses loose! :blink: B)

So when are you getting the gearbox mountings fixed m8? I'm really interested to find if this fixes the problem. Trouble is I hope the spacers they plan to use on mine wont be fixed to the exhaust...I plan to get an after-market performance exhaust in a week or two :lol: Stay tuned <_<

They tick tick tick all the time m8! The garage did say they would look into them when I drop the car in on the 27th as they need to see what they are like from starting the engine cold. Makes no sense to me though as they had my car all day yesterday so the engine would have been cold after an hour of me dropping it off!

Well I had a knocking noise from the engine and gearbox last time it went in - apparently it was due to a degraded engine mount. The problem has come bk, and yesterday when picking the car up I've now been told it is because something in/connected to the gearbox is catching on the exhaust so they have ordered some spacers? We shall see if it solves the problem - booked back in for the 27th. They are also going to look at my tappets as well...tick tick tick lol

Dropped the car off this morning with the service garage - They will be fixing the sqeaky brakes problem that affects various C4's, as well as reparing the Engine Mount problem that has resurfaced after it was diagnosed and repaired about 2 months ago. lol You can't fault them for their service - I arrived at 7:40am and they dont even open till 8.30am, but the admin guy came straight out and went over the paperwork - read through the list of problems I'd reported...including my note to the techs - "BRAND NEW ALLOY WHEELS - TAKE EXTRA CARE" ;) :D

I'm in Wales sorry so can't be bothered with the travelling - I wish you all good times however!
