  1. Welcome to the forum. I would check where the wires go from the body to the door in case one is broken and if you have a meter you could check for voltage at the motor electrical connector. The wiring diagram in the Haynes manual has the 3 wires as green/yellow - earth, yellow from fuse F2 in the glovebox bsi fuse box, beige from the bsi. These wires are also numbered as M5215, 521, 522. You should be able to check which is the earth one using a meter. So it looks as if you disconnect the motor connector and then provide an earth and a 12 volt supply to one or maybe both of the other wires at the motor then it should run. I have moved the topic in to a subforum since ones outside of one do not show after a few days and may be difficult to find.
  2. Are you allowed to put the seats in the lounge and sit in them to watch the TV ?
  3. The parts diagram shows it is in the side of the thermostat/hose connector housing on the gearbox end of the cylinder head and has a green plug on it. It is held by a clip and has what looks like an o-ring seal and has Citroen part no. 1338C1, clip 1338C3 and o-ring 1338G5. You are best to get the parts from a dealer using your car VIN to make sure you get the right bits. To replace the sensor, the coolant expansion cap should be removed to release any pressure, the electrical connector removed, the clip removed and then the sensor pulled out and the new one with its o-ring quickly put back. If you are quick and maybe use a thumb to plug the hole, it may be possible to do this with only a slight loss of coolant and without having to drain the coolant first (although I have never tried this). Some tissues/rags under the sensor area will minimise spillage over the gearbox. The coolant level may need topping up and on top of the thermostat housing a bleed cap is shown which should be used to let out any air. A new cap may be worth fitting but it is not the same as a tyre valve cap and its part no. is 540402.
  4. On our 2011 C4 the drls are activated through the radio menu/personalisation/configuration/.vehicle lighting - daytime lights. You may need to go back to the dealer to sort this but I would be wary of plugging in your own Lexia since it may affect the warranty. Some Chinese Lexia copies can cause problems and one noted on here is causing faults with the parking sensors.
  5. First guess for all the problems would be a faulty coolant temp sensor and these are around £20. If you have a code reader that gives live data you can see what temperature it is giving and decide if it is wrong since before starting a cold engine it will be about 15°C and go up to about 95°C once the engine is hot.
  6. You may find the wires in the door gaiter are broken and need replacing/joining back together.
  7. According to the Haynes manual, the door switch is removed by prising up the rear of it and the photo shows something like a screwdriver being used to lever up the rear end. There is no need to remove the door panel. It is unlikely the electrical plug will come off on its own but once removed from the switch you could tape it or tie it to something so it does not drop inside the door.
  8. It may be easier to follow the wires from the fusebox which usually go down the left side of the car. Haynes and the RTA manuals do not have seat wring diagrams but they will be included in the Citroen Service box. The diagrams there require the car RPO and possibly the VIN to see them so you would need your car and the donor car RPO and VIN. The G fuses should take a direct supply from the battery via a maxi fuse. When I wired up our towbar I used the top connection of a fuse location to give a towbar supply with its own fuse by inserting a blue spade connector - that way a fuse was not put in the G fuse box and any other wiring did not become live.
  9. If you do not want to get the service box, then you could just use the Citroen parts diagrams which will help a lot. These can be seen as a free service on the service.citroen site, you need to register as an other professional and a member of the Citroen Owners Club. http://service.citroen.com/do/changerParametres
  10. The reverse light and rear parking sensors not working are probably related and this could be the reverse light switch which may be on top of the gearbox. Often the speedo is taken from the abs sensor system so you could check the abs sensors and their wiring but it could also be taken from the gearbox differential - so if there is a sensor there you could also check its wiring. Your best option will be to have the fault code read since this will be a start on what may be at fault but it is likely to be showing the speed fault since this is needed for the ecu as part of the emissions control.
  11. The Citroen service box manuals are available from such as ebay, there is a Haynes manual for the 1996 to 2008 Berlingo and there is also the Review Technique Automobile French books. Of these the Haynes would be easiest to use. http://www.haynes.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=34201&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=10215
  12. This could be anything and possibilities could include the crank position sensor - these may fail once warm but work again when cold and eventually not work at all.
  13. Welcome to the forum. Your other posts I will move to the Berlingo section so they are not lost amongst the owners' vehicles section.
  14. Maybe there are no options available for your car.
  15. Welcome to the forum. I do not know if the wiring for the folding motor will be on your car but if so, you would also need the door mirror switch which will be different and you would also need to check if its wiring connector is the same and that the wiring for the folding motor is also there. It is also possible the car may need programming at a dealer, but I am not sure. If there are pictures on ebay showing the connectors you can check them against your car.
  16. Welcome to the forum and thankyou for your help.
  17. You could check the volume switches on the radio and the steering column for dirt ingress - although not the same problem, we had a member whose radio kept switching on and that turned out to be dirt holding the radio on/off button in. When the problem occurs, do the radio and steering column volume controls not do anything ?
  18. Welcome to the forum. If it is the screen on the top of the dash that is faulty then maybe it needs replacing or maybe the bulbs in the back of it need replacing - the Haynes manual shows 3 bulbs which are accessed once the display is removed from the dash. Haynes says the display is removed by first prising up th elower edge of itsplastic surround, pulling the surround towards you and then undoing the display screws.
  19. If you just wish to see the mpg/trip computer screens for a short while whilst the display is showing something else, then use the button on the end of the wiper stalk. Short pushes bring up the different mpg/trip computer screens and a long push resets them to zero.
  20. It will be somewhere in the handbook and in the one for our 2011 C4 under the Monitoring section, particle emissions filter, risk of blockage, it has - As soon as driving conditions allow, regenerate the filter by driving at a speed of at least 35 mph (60 km/h) until the warning lamp goes off. So maybe a 20 mile motorway trip is needed or possibly 20 minutes at high revs in a low gear. If you were not planning on doing these it makes a mockery of the fuel economy and for a car that is used for short trips then a petrol is probably better than a diesel with a dpf.
  21. Some cars now use the fog lights to light up either the left or right when turning at low speed, such as our 2011 C4 and our neighbours Discovery. I do not know how this fits in with the law but it is useful to light the kerb but can be confusing to others.
  22. If the back is sinking without the pump running occasionally then maybe one of the rear suspension struts is due for replacement.
  23. The door pocket can also be used for a high vis vest - I keep one there so it can be put on before leaving the car. Used it once on the M60 after somebody bumped our car. The hard shoulder is not a nice place but the vest helps others see you.
  24. Any info on the forum is appreciated since it helps others who may be thinking of doing the same thing and it is always better coming from somebody who has done the job as opposed to reading from the manuals.
  25. The door mirror switch has a few different part nos. depending on its colour (black or grey) and whether the car mirrors can be electrically folded and whether the passenger mirror has auto adjustment to show the kerb when reverse is selected. This applies to both mark 1 and mark 2 C5s.
