  1. Maximum bolt length mm 133.4Stage 1 Tighten 20 NmStage 2 Tighten 40 NmStage 3 Tighten 220 degrees The bolts are stretch bolts and should not be reused. and if new ones are longer than 133.4mm dont use then
  2. Buy a cheap jetwash and sit inside the car and get someone to jetwash everywhere
  3. youre not going to get anywhere with this without a diagnostic to see what codes you have and looking into live data to see why it wont start
  4. your all over the place with your question so lets start afresh. Your speedo stopped working was all other sytems fine up till then. did you then start pulling fuses and the other faults appeared was towbar fitted before or after the faults came on. and when you tried to take the mil light of what codes did the scanner come up with. have you checked the 2 incab fuse boxes for blown fuses. also using a bulb wont help much as a lot of the systems arnt 12 volts so wont show up with a lamp. always use a multi meter
  5. yep lift up the back seat and remove inspection panel ane youl see multiplug on top of sender unit. then use multi meter checking for voltage when you put ignition on. you should have voltage for a few second then it should die off. did you check maxi fuses. also have you had the car running or did you get it as a non runner

Im probally wrong as my knowledge of stereos is limited to the fact that they make a lot of noise when you turn them up But I think its all down to the age of the technology you are trying to use. if its a new phone you have then your trying to connect it to a system that is 5 years old. and the 2,3 and 4g thing. Please dont take this as fact as like i say my knowledge is limited.
  9. Sound like the low pressure pump in the tank not getting power or knackered. Has the spare key been coded in ?. a very very common fault on the petrol models is fuel pump failure which results in the engine not starting which in turn puts the car into economy mode and shuts of most of the systems. then along comes joe bloggs who only knows a little about citroens and says the ecu is knackered as they cant find any faults as to why half the systems arnt working. once the car is running all systems come back on.. when you say no petrol comming out the pipe do you mean the pipe from the tank or the pipe from the pump on the end of the camshaft
  10. Not sure but i will check. cant help thinking the ecu will detect that the indicators are using more power than they should and confusing it Then when you switch the ignition off and back on the ecu resets itself till the next time. See if it does it with the hazzards on
  11. Is it a imobiliser type alarm you are trying to fit if so your van already has a imobiliser fitted to it via the key and you just cant have 2 imobiliser on the one system. the relay we have just as a door activated type that just makes a lot of noise. and bleeps when activated

  13. Yours will have a can bus sysytem on it john. have a bit play with lexia to see if you need to tell it you have a towbar on it
  14. try changing your fuel filter as the bio diesel they sell at the pumps now are clogging the filters up and reducing the lifespan of the filter. a call to the parts department at any citroen dealer and they will tell you that fuel filter sales have at least doubled
  15. just undo the bottom radiator hose and it will drain in completly
  16. if the pipe has a leaked then the system should of already deressurised. and should be a case of simply replacing the pipe/topping the fluid up and starting the car and it will bleed itself. the car should be sitting right on the ground if it has already depress itself; If not then jack the car up and place axle stands underneath it. get a big rag and where the pipe goes into the sphere just crack it of and yous rag to catch the fluid that comes out. replace the pipe. weve found that little children or gnomes are best to get the pipes out. but if you havnt got any handy then youl just have to struggle with it. when pipe is on remove the stands and top up lds tank and start the car up. sometimes you have to presurise the lds tank to get the initail purge on the fluid just put your mouth round it and blow. the car will then start to pump the fluid and once its started to lift go inside the car and give the suspension a good work out via the suspension button up and down go make a cup of tea as your finished
  17. diagnostic into live data and take car for a run and that should show you what is wrong when the fault comes on otherwise your just guessing
  18. what are the emmision limits in france. And yes go for paramiter measurments although i cant see how it will help you as it dosnt show what is coming out of the exhaust. What year/engine is in yours

Sounds like the car was hit from the side. i think they are refering to saftey cell in the car. doors,wings,boots,bonnets, etc etc are just sacrafical parts in the event of a accident. the saftey cell is there to stop crush injuries when the vehicle is rolling over. each airbag covers a certain area so that they all dont go off at the same time as this could cause injury. really am sorry for your loss
  21. get a leak off test done on your injectors. sounds like one could be sticking or overfueling
  22. on the plus side though you now know were the intercooler pipes are
  23. paul is right it is the radius arm bearings. about 200 a side as there awkward to do unless youve done them. you also need to get the right bearing from the dealer as there quite a few choices
  24. Sounds like a intercooler pipe has poped or split, check all thick black pipes for splits or have come loose both above and below the engine
  25. p1621 is telling you that the four digit code on your key is not the same as or not getting to the imobiliser. try replacing the transponder ring/ ariel that sits round the ignition lock. there cheap enogh to buy and will activate the anti theft mode. Youl also have economy mode running in the background which when active will disable many features on the car and unless you know about citroen you would think the ecu is gone because nothing is working. once fired up they will all come back.
