Yes there the same but id been checkinhg the ratios in the gearboxes otherwise your van might have no pullong power or very limited top end speed
-
Youl need to plug it into a diagnostic machine annd go to the live data section and it will show you why its not starting. depending on what area you live there are members on the forum that will help you

Anywhere from 38 to 105. our 54 exclusive with the dual climate controls (like yours) was £105. if you take it off then you get no blower at all
-
Ok yours will be a canbus system so the stereo will fit and work but you might get a few error messages and eml light on as your head unit wont be talking back to the ecu then again it might work perfectly, So in a nutshell you might need to put it in a diagnostic to sort a few niggles out after fitting

The mas airflow hasnt got any pipes on it so youve unpluged the wrong bit (easily done). Its the light grey multiplug that has 4 wires that is on the black air tubing just down from the air filter housing. The egr is held in place by 2 x 10mm nuts (hold egr onto exhaust manifold) 2 x 10mm allen keys (under the egr cooler) 2 x 10mm allen keys ( where it conects to the intake manifold) 2 x water hoses. youl see black gunge everywhere at the manifold try and get as much out as you can. Scrape/wirebrush and use brake cleaner to clean the valve itself then put a bit rubber tubing ontio the egr wacum pipe and as you suck you should see the valve inside open. If it dosnt then clean it somemore if after cleaning and cleaning and then more cleaning it wont open then you might need a new one

Auto Gearbox Clutch Problem
coastline taxis replied to gatekeeper179's topic in Problems and Fixes - C5
auto boxes are complicated and very few people want to touch them it really is a specalist job. your options are 1 take car to specalist but it wont be cheap. 2 change gearbox. 3 Convert it to manual. Sorry for the bad news. -
Yes thats about right at 70 in 5th gear. If your not getting a engine management light on when your lossing power then i think its down to 1 or 2 things mass airflow meter ( to check this unplug it and go for a drive if its working ok you should notice a serious loss of power. if the car drive just the same then thats your fault). Egr valve Take it off and clean it also clean the elbow out where the egr pipe ( held in with 2 allen keys) meets the main airflow pipe as these get really cloged up. When you do the mass airflow you might get the engine management light on but dont worry itl go off itself with a few engine starts

Sounds like your cat is on its way out. couple of things to check first before you buy one 1 check for exhaust leaks/damge to manifolds 2 damaged oxygen sensors both of them 3 engine temperature sensor working ok 4 engine isnt misfiring/burning oil/fuel leak. if all the above are ok then its the cat

coastline taxis replied to Howiec's topic in Problems and Fixes - C5
Take fan belt of and start the engine and see if the knocking goes away -
Do you no if the car has been defaped/cattted or had a remap of any kind
-
google for pid data on the model you want. next forget about the colours each wire has a number printed on it and by comparing the 2 pid list ( for the car they came out of to the car they are going into) youle ba able to match them by there numbers

That steering isnt normal. Weve seen that quite a few like that and to rectify it is down to one of two things but for the life of me i cant understand it happn on a car with only 3 miles on the clock. theyve normaly high miles or they have a good kerbing Either strut top bearings or the steering rack is gone. If i were you id be geting the finance company involved aswell or just hand the car back also trading standards

need a bit more info off you. Is it a engine related squeek does it get louder with higher engine speed or is it road speed related. what is the age and milage of the vehicle and what have you done to date to resolve it
-
Just move the shunt over you wont damage anything. When you say you check the fuses are you using a multimeter set on continuity as these fuses get hairline cracks in them that you cant see with your eyes. and just a daft one do the hazzards still work when the clock loses its power

check your reciept to see if youve put petrol in or as paul is saying definatley dodgy fuel. Take fuel filter off and have a smell -
ok just to make things easier for people changing brake pads do the following. romove both bolts on the caliper and turn it upside down and youl see the piston in the caliper. look at 12 oclock on the piston and just past the rubber dust seal on the casing there is a arrow ( a good wire brushing will reveal it) indicating which way to turn the piston. Also next to the arrow is a straight line again line this up with any of the cutouts in the brake piston and the pads will fit perfect

Get an emissions test done. Think id be looking at a blocked/knackered cat. i take it that the car is running and starting well

In 9 out of 10 that we do the pulling to one side when acelerating is always the front wishbone rear bush. If it pulls to the left then its the left one and to the right is the right hand wishbone
