  1. hello and welcome. glad you kept on trying
  2. All normal for a lpg conversion. when you switch to gas it shuts the fuel of and the car thinks it has no petrol which will affect the fuel rail pressure and the emmision are that clean on gas it puts the cat sensors out of range and puts the lights on
  3. The sinking of the rear suspension will be the middle rear sphere. When you 1st sit in them the car goes down then the pump kicks in and lifts it up is normal for a c5 so that part is correct
  4. you need to be a bit more specifc to get a answer does it work on any settings or is it not blowing hot/cold and what spec level and age
  5. is there any smoke comming out the back and is it a 90 or a 110
  6. did it work 1st time or take a couple of goes. and thanks for coming back and telling us
  7. Depends on the year as the mk1,s have a float in them that dosnt need reseting unless the tank is drained. mk2,s just set them to zero. sometimes it takes 2 to 3 goes to reset them and even a bsi reset in stuborn cases
  8. The 1.6 hdi are notorious for turbo failure and if youre getting any doubts about the turbo you need to act now. Drop the sump off (very easy to do) and check for sludgy/jellied oil also clean everything you see also remove turbo oil feed pipe and check both the pipe and the little gauze filter in the banjo bolt, rermove rocker cover and check and clean. replace the lot then put a good flush oil in then drain and put good low sulphur oil and new filter. you might be one of the lucky one that get a warning and dont think that because the milage is low it couldnt happan because it does happen. The lowest one weve done was 30k
  9. To check the drop links put suspension on full then raise both front wheels of the ground. Then put a bar onto the antiroll bar and the chassis then just push down youl soon feel any free play
  10. make sure your battery is disconected before you start pulling and checking the wiring or you might get a bit more than you expect if they go off
  11. cheaper and easier to just put a second hand one on
  12. Im against this personaly as i have a bit of a theory about this and when sitting with your foot on the clutch at lights/junctions etc etc. The thrust bearing is designed and greased to go from zero to 1500ish revs and back to zero in 2 to 3 seconds every time you change gear, So sitting with your foot on the pedal the thrust bearing is engaged for minutes at a time. something the grease and bearing wernt meant to do i think this burns the grease out and leads to premature thrust bearing failure. And weve done quite a few clutch replacements due to thrust bearing failure to think this way
  13. this sounds like a forced regeneration to me. Not recomended for a enginge that your having trouble with as the engine sits at high revs for 45 mins. seen it done on a 1.6 that was having trouble and it blew the turbo
  14. What wires are you trying to put in. Yours is a can bus system that dosnt take kindly to wires being added and can cause all kinds of problems
  15. Sort of sounds like hes trying to help you but with a lack of knowledge on citroens it would seem hes under qualified and just dosnt know enough about citroens to put it right. Letting you take it to the main dealers and him picking the bill up sounds really fair to me. Yes your out of pocket with the fuel but i would think its a small price to pay and at the end of the day youl get your car back working properly after being fixed by proffesionall citroen technitions. Tbh i think most other garages would of fobbed you off and youd now be heading for trading standards or the small claims court
  16. http://recombu.com/cars/articles/news/behold-the-flat-packed-car-which-you-can-build-in-less-than-hour Now a flat pack car from ikea
  17. become a taxi driver. that way you keep the car and make a few bob till you find another job
  18. thanks for coming back with the cure
  19. does it cover c5s. and in live data does it have a option to do graphs. overall it sounds like a good bit of kit at a very nice price
  20. It cant regenerate without eloys oil. it needs this to burn the soot out the filter
  21. theres a big can of worms looming over all this. when defaping, cat removal, egr blanking and increasing bhp. thousands of drivers are then telling insurance company that there vehicle has not be modified from the manufactures specifications when in fact they have. believe me its now only a matter of time before it all has to be put back to original condition or the will fail the mot.
  22. Is it a 90 or a 110 bhp
  23. have heard a bit about the launch diagnostic. Is it the one were you buy the module for what you want , also free upgrades for life. Is it anygood
  24. Think this will be law soon https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/266915/dft-tyre-guidance.pdf
