  1. At night is a little pointless. If it is a nice sunny day i'll go roofless whatever the temperature
  2. I am one of those saddos, infact have never driven my other car with the roof up. Heater gets incredibly hot and has heated seats so is perfectly comfortable whatever the temperature, however my girlfriend does not agree!
  3. Problem is their exhaust note is so quiet, needs a decent Hayward and Scott system installed, and you can't take the roof off. Might stick to the idea of a vx220.
  4. I partially agree, I am not a major fan of BMW or infact the Z3 but just liked the idea of a 321bhp car with no traction control for not a great deal of money. If you look at my ebay auction you will see that on my px list is the V6 Clio. A good rare car, but suffering from major depreciation at the moment. I like to keep a car for a year and sell for the same as I paid, or a little more.
  5. And dont we just know it. You like reminding us about how just about every other car is inferior to it. Not every car, just most. *sarcasm* Doubt you'd have the chance to be annoyed by it as I'd be long gone into the distance. You can see for yourself if you like, as it is for sale.
  6. You a fellow Essexboy?
  7. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 When it goes in for a service, just take it off!
  8. Ahem! <-----BMW Driver
  9. This is what I have...a professional install Nokia carkit with additional bluetooth wheel thing. I have since broken this phone and had a different cradle fitted for my new phone. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c298/alexlomas/C4/DSC00065.jpg
  10. I wouldn't solely rely on GPS Speed Scamera Detectors as mine has not always been aware of scameras which have been in place for a long time. The majority it will flag up, including Gatso, Truvelo, Specs and mine also had a laser detector and jammer. The Laser detector is all well and good in theory but by the time the detector has detected, the policeman has already obtained your speed, unless of course you have jammed it (the latter is not advisable as jamming is illegal)
  11. Yup, especially since he has 3 points already. I think it went in his favour that he was doing it at 2.30am on his way back from Stansted and there would have been very little other traffic. He had only had his RX8 for a few months so didn't fancy a ban. I have since sold him my Snooper as he can't afford to get done again.
  12. A work colleague just got caught on the Gatso at the bottom of the M11, he was doing 95mph in a 50mph. After 3 months waiting he had a court hearing where the judge gave him 6 points and a £60 fine. He was pretty chuffed.
  13. When the phone is in use the stereo says "silence"
  14. I presume it has one as I have a nokia handsfree kit which mutes the stereo when I press a button on the phone and when the phone rings.
  15. Engine is ok, its the rest of the car which is the problem. Typical boring unimaginative American styling with handling and interior to match.
  16. I seriously doubt you'd get 29mpg, I have never seen anything near 29mpg from my BMW. 40k for a left hooker Mustang, you gotta be kidding me, are there that many mugs out there who want to spend that sort of money on a pretty poor car?
  17. I have always owned petrol cars but my C4 company car is a diesel and certainly on the motorway is far superior to the petrol equivalent. Fortunately I have a weekend car, albeit not a V8. Although it is now up for sale if anyone is interested http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/101911.htm
  18. Old Dears???
  19. Never tried or looked in the manual but presumably they just twist to remove the bulbs? Probably best to look in the manual, afterall that's what they are there for.
  20. Invoice? what are they. Indeed, never seen a bill so couldn't tell you how much the services are. Mine is only 7k away from the next service, so should come around within the next couple of months.
  21. Got mine in Feb 05 and it has 45K on now
  22. Perhaps as mine has driven over the average mileage that I am experiencing all these problems. Will be interested to see what happens to other peoples cars when they reach the same mileage.
  23. My c4 is a 54 plate which I have had from new and covered 45,000miles in. It has now been back to the dealer 14 times and some of the original problems are still unresolved! Unfortunately none are as minor as sticking door handles, as I can live with niggles.
  24. It's not like it affects your enjoyment of the car, just a nuisance which could be ignored.
  25. The badges on the boot have fallen off mine!
