  1. £143 a tyre?! are they pirelli Pzeros?
  2. Some interesting guesses chaps, albeit incorrect. My daily commute is a 70 mile round trip. I also have a once a month trip to my other office in Walsall. To put everyone straight, I am one of two Acquisition Surveyors for William Hill covering the South East of England, hence the high mileage. Not as exciting as a gigolo!
  3. Nope, keep guessing
  4. Just had my 50k service at 53,000miles. Miraculously I have found a service centre who have finally pretty much sorted my wheel balance problem. They also replaced the discs and pads all round and told me that the turbo hose was no longer connected so effectively I have been driving around naturally aspirated. As the car is a company owned vehicle I never worry about the servicing costs, however I decided to ask how much the bill was....£650! Glad I don't pay for it, that is more expensive than an Inspection 1 on my old Z3M. Unfortunately the dealer is having arguments with Citroen so is not able to carry out any warranty work at present so the other outstanding problem has to be fixed next week by another garage. I am told that the reason I can smell diesel fumes inside the car is because I need new injectors and seals. Since the service my indicator keeps telling me that the car is overdue a service, despite me resetting it twice. Seem to recall reading there is a problem with this and a software update sorts it out. So back to the dealer again tomorrow. At least the brakes don't squeal anymore...lets see how long it lasts though.
  5. My C4 HDi is a company car and as such gets driven fairly hard most of the time. The original Michelin fronts lasted 35,000miles and I am still on the original rears at 53,000miles! Beat that. Steady Stuey, I'm not a rep, but the miles were at high speed!
  6. The detailing isn't that specific. It displays a coupe symbol on my hatch
  7. Was this a while ago that you were there? C4s have discs all round don't they?
  8. 1,200 miles and counting til the next service. Not sure where to take it though as the 6 dealers within a 100mile radius are crap
  9. Had the discs replaced as I had warped them along with calipers and pads. They started squealing shortly after replacement and now they make a racket, braking from any speed with any amount of pedal pressure.
  10. Surely they won't keep on replacing the brakes for ever more? Mine have been replaced and now they are even noisier than before.
  11. OK, we've all seen pictures of nice clean and shiny C4s but surely in this weather you can't keep them that way. I'd be interested to see whether anyone's is as dirty as mine. Pic to be posted tomorrow.
  12. Finally more people experiencing this!! All started when I had my fronts replaced for Pirellis at KwikShit. Wheel balancing was terrible, ended up taking it to 4 different Kwikshits a total of 9 times. Then to 4 different citroen dealers. The first dealer replaced the tyres with Michelins as they said Pirelli are notorious for being hard to balance?!?!? This made no difference so replaced all of the wheels...still no difference. The latest dealer, Motorsales in Harlow said they had identified the problem but couldn't fix it and sent me on my way. Regrettably there is no chain of command as they don't have a service manager! So I am now stuck with a car which I drive 70 miles on the motorway everyday with wheels which are so unbalanced the steering wheel judders. More crap Citroen customer service. They seem to only employ the socially and mechanically inept (obviously there must be some exceptions, like certain forum members) Surely there is a fix for this apparently simple problem?
  13. It is now called the FR not Cupra. They look pretty nice and seem well built. I looked at an FR diesel which was under £16k.
  14. Depends on the Elise. Don't think they are all group 20. I bought my Westfield when I was just 23. Insured it for 6,000miles a year and cost me £400 with 0 years no claims as I had a company car.
  15. 2nd hand C4 1.6hdi for the weekday and an Elise/Caterham/S2000/.... for 10-12k for the weekend. Depreciation won't be so much of a factor then either.
  16. Why don't you buy a reasonable daily runaround and a quick car for the weekend?
  17. My mistake
  18. Or steal to order?
  19. looks sh1te though
  20. .....That's about as useful as it is
  21. Always press the button when pushing the key back into the fob, mine still came loose. Citroen refused to replace under warranty.
  22. I'll post a pic of mine later. The C4 keyfob is light and flimsy in comparison to every other manufacturer including the Vauxhall Astra.
  23. They are the cheapest keyfobs I have ever seen. The spring is buggered on mine so the key hangs out. Compare a C4 fob to an Audi fob for instance and you'll see what I mean.
  24. Mine is an SX 92hdi. How come I can get 55quid in mine? I drive 85 on the motorway and still return an average of 50mpg.
  25. Rarely use the limiter, usually on the M1 down from Dunstable where they have SPECS cameras through the roadworks. I get 700miles to my 55quids worth of diesel.
