It went in for an airbag recall and it needs a roadtest afterwards? Also found my sub was left unplugged afterwards thats a little bit annoying since they didnt even need to go into the boot! And i didnt leave the stereo in the car so god knows why they felt the need to unplug it the amps wont powerup without the headunit turned on and i didnt leave it in the car. I think im perfectly allowed to bitch when it goes in for an airbag recall and things get messed about. It takes me long enough to find the perfect position and someone comes along and moves everything. And how did they roadtest the airbag? Although my mum got the worst service her car went in on the friday to get some bodywork done with a full tank of petrol it came out 350 miles on the clock and an empty tank 1 of the tech took her car home and pissed off to scotland with it and came back with a totally knackered stereo. And whats with the insulting? Have I at anyone point ever insulted you do you really feel the need to insult me? For a start I have a life quite a good one in fact. Im 22 i have my own city centre apartment i have a nice new car i have the things i want good friends yep id say my life is fairly good and i have one. If you cant make a point without resorting to personal insults just dont say anything at all and leave it its not hard is it? I've not dealt with you personally you actually sound like you know what your doing. My run ins witht he techs are usually 17 yr olds telling me that metal grating sounds are normal or that my gearbox creaking while going into gear or not letting me select first is normal just something they do.

mine came back with 4 miles on it after it was there for only 3 hours. Peeves me off a little bit when they adjust everything the seats my mirrors my heater etc.

Guessing your insured under parents? As i said if thats the case if your not down as the main driver your basically breaking the law and doing somethign that is called "fronting" Couple of people i know who crashed there cars in the winter and had similar insurance cars were not repaired under the insurance because the insurance companies investigated it and found they were the main driver as a result no payout. Just pointing this out as wouldnt want you if in the case you have an accident to basically ahve to pay out of your own pocket and waste money.

stage 1 and 2 of the 3 stage system from megs does the trick as well.
-
Mine was a 02 1.2 16v clio that was my first proper car anyways bought that new as well. Before that i had a mk2 golf.
-
It does, but I dont think thats what he wanted to do judging by the post think he just wants to be able to open the vent and allow air in straight from outside.
-
Before i would have possibly wanted it lengthening the time it cuts in but now i think if i were to leave my system on for 30 minutes at full pelt the battery would not last long.
-
Sod the kids lol. Once there in the back its tough they just cant get out as easily.
-
Never seen a modern car you can do that on yet. Apart from using the window. Kinda defeats the object of climate control though. Dont think it will let you shut it off and just open the vents up to the outside cant see a way of doing it anyways.

Wasnt a silly wing on the other version. And us Coupe owners know we have the better looking car :D
-
Also fairly cheap to insure. 1.6 VTR+ is a group 6 think the VTR is group 5 in the 1.6 and then group 4 for the 1.4's and 92 hdi. think the 2 2.0 come under group 10 and the 180 under 15.

Had not seen it just went on the citroen uk site though and had a look at it rather cool.

Those of us that pick petrols get the better deal generally now to be honest. less per litre in fuel costs, less to service doesnt need servicing as much, cheaper to insure not as much to buy in the first place takes a long time to recoup the price differences plus the diesels are slower. Although that new ford deal is rather good same price for the diesel as it is for the petrol.

well think about it if your back end goes out towards the left and you turn right its going to cause the car to spin more isnt it? Where as if you spin into the skid cause the back end is out your really making the tyres straighten up and point in the direction you would have gone anyways had the skid not aoccured resulting in the back end following the front wheels eventually.
-
No you still turn into the skid or you will cause the car to oversteer even more. resulting in you completely losing control.
-
Yeah that would be a problem but hey if you want to do it lol. I wouldnt mind a nice red or blue interior light but im not planning on doing anything like that.
-
Depends on the type of skid if its wet icey etc to what you shoudl do. Basic thing is though you steer into the skid so if your skidding left you turn left it will bring the car back into a straight line which you can then adjust. basically your then in control so its more a controlled drift than a skid. Will keep the front wheels where you want them to go and the back end should follow shortly afterwards.

Probably a couple small led's mounted in the sides that shine through the panel.

Welcome to the forums mate. Just remember at your age depending on insurance company they may well whack a fair bit of money on your insurance for putting the spoiler and wheels on. And try get your own insurance when you can if your insured under parents its not a good idea if your the main driver of the car. Any bumps or anything you may have they can invalidate your policy because you lied to them etc. Great the world of car ownership welcome to being legally conned by our government.

I plan to do my IAM soon moving home so will have a bit of money and would like to basically learn to drive on the roads properly im a good driver but the IAM way apparently teaches you to drive rather differently. Then i wouldnt mind doing some track lessons learning how to handle cars at speed properly etc.

Apparently its from the exhuast according to one of the techs. Thats what he told me anyways. Going back in again in a few days though to have the brakes sorted and gonna get them to look at it again.

Quite a dark colour would say use meg nxt wax or nattys blue i think it is. Around £15 a tub can be got from halfords. And the quick clay system is around £12 which gets rid off all the hidden dirt tar dead bugs tree sap etc from the paintwork and if you use the detailer on its own before the car gets dirty stops you having to wash it all the time and only take 15 minutes to do once you have done the car properly.

I get fairly decent mpg when i get out of the centre otherwise the mixutre of traffic and usually hitting every single traffic light makes my consumption go to hell. My average speed the other day was a whole 9mph and my consumption was around the 24mpg mark.
-
Not had any problems with mine but could be a loose connection if its still working on the drivers side. Quite easy to check yourself though and see. Just that 1 torx screw in the handle part and then a case of wiggling it out from the back (handle part) forward to the switch. My old clio used to suffer from certain problems like that and was always just a case of wiggling the wire and it worked again.

Hey the only reason I take the piss is cause you bought a bmw lol. Although just few things most engines are already broken in on the dyno not properly but they have been broken in a bit. And on a new engine it is actually better to give it hell and basically drive it like you stole it once its been given the chance to heat up etc dont be afraid to have it hitting the red line or getting close better for breaking in an engine.
