Just declare the extras on the insurance. Most ocmpanies dont care about the wheels. Depending on how you tell them about the spoiler if you mention its a manufacturer original part and just an alternate spoiler from the standard item they may let it go and not charge you for it since its on the options list. You wouldn't decalre you have leather seats inside and thats standard.

VTR+ in the 1.6 version is only insurance group 6. For me living in central manchester at 22 doing 15K a year its less than £1000 with 1yrs NCB. Just less than £1000 was around £980 something. Moving back with my parents it was around £150 cheaper. Although I didnt pay for it free isnurance.

I used that carplan wax stuff but theres a another product which is like a gel i think or something thats supposed to bring it back up really well. Will have to have a look on one of the detailing forums see what they recommend.

Guess my post over at parkers got some more people to come gonna print off some flyers and put them on a few peoples cars theres a red C4 coupe VTS HDI near where my mums lives pretty sure its the HDI due to there being no rear spoiler. But i think these people need flyering. Can only see it being a good service and helpful to these people who join up. Can imagine though with your clio getting that much damage. Musta upset you big time :P i loved my little clio to bits was such a lovely car and i had less problems with that than i did with my C4.

meguirs quick clay will get the bugs off easily and restore your paintwork so much better than anything else. Ots basically a spray on thing and you then use a lump of what is pretty much white tac to get the crap off the spray lubricates the car and the white tac stuff pulls it off. And if you cant feel the different and see it they offer a money back guarantee trust me though done right the paint will feel like glass totally and perfectly smooth removes all the tar dead bugs etc. Bout £12 for the kit though best way to get all the crap off though followed by a decent polish and wax.

Its good stuff i was very impressed. 70mph on the motorway and you dont need your wipers it just beads and moves up the windscreen. really good stuff and it seems to last. I have since washed my car twice and the stuff has not come off lol.

Most of the ones available seemed to be black or silver i had to wait for a red one. Odd the bluetooth function makes it take longer is only a button basically thats different. and possibly a headunit change nothing that should cause weeks of delay...ah well thats citroen for ya.

Welcome to the forums mate. Car looks good. But just convinced me colour coding the spoiler would not suit my car. And i dont get a creak or anything at low speeds 2nd to 3rd but i do get a crunch when im giving it some and i throw it into gear too fast. But thats mainly cause im asking too much of it I think dont think the box likes those split second changes when its being driven hard to i have since stopped doing that lol. Get it into the dealer and get them to take a look though what you have warranty for.

to be honest depends what profile tyre you put on with the larger wheel you can get pretty much near enough the exact same rolling circumfrence with the smaller profile tyres so should not affect the speedo. will affect acceleration though. Might not be massively notcable depends how heavy the new wheels are in comparison and not sure with the C4 but you might find changing to a bigger rim will make the handling worse. usually does. but gives more grip. so kind of a trade off not as much turn in but better grip. But the bigger rims look the dogs danglies so meh to the handling lol.

porta cable polisher or something its called i just refer to it as a PC. What im after lol. And i use the megs NXT wax. When doing it properly usually start with the NXT car wash then quickdetailer / clay bar. megs 3 stage system cleaner polisher and carnaubara wax all applied with applicators and buffed with microfibre clothes. Have the NXT tech wax as well but only use that when im not doing the 3 stage thing although done with all of it together and buffed up given a good few coats the shine is amazing afterwards.

Last time i checked the tyres for my rim were around £117 each. Thats for the same Michelin PE2's that are on there now which are regarded as one of the best daily tyres around. Thats in 205/50/R17.

musta had some decent paintwork before hand i was trying and trying to get rid of the swirls in my paintwork with some megs stuff just couldnt buff it all out. got a lot of it out but needs a polisher on it to get it out properly and looking perfect again. Plan to treat myself to one when i move back home have some spare cash. Just makes cleaning etc so much easier. And i have a nice wollen washmit for mine works really well and doesnt swirl the paintwork. Im a bit of a clean freak with my car only thing I keep so well. Need to clay it and everything again before the FCS show though.

To get the finish like on the 106 you really need to get a proper polisher. Which will set you back around £200. But the results are amazing seen a couple of the guys on the clio forums with them and they bring up the paintwork amazingly. Old red polo that had gone pink due to badly treated paint etc. it came up looking as if it was brand new again the guy sold it for a few hundred more than he bought it just for tidying it up. Sounds like a good way to earn a few extra quid for a few hours work.

Not really that hard to not set the wipers to auto i dont put them on half the time anyways.

got some of that rainX on mine now bad rain 70 mph and i barely had to use the wipers really good stuff wasnt expecting it to be that good.

Started doing mine the other week gave up finishing the waxing off my arms were bloody killing me was trying to polish out the swirl marks got a lot of them out.

ODB port. for diagnostics also plug into that when your cars getting remapped.

Because I love my C4. Its just not quite as communicative as other cars are. And at the time the C4 was bought because it was one of the best looking nicer driving cars in my budget. Other cars i looked at in the same area meant i would have needed to cut down on gadgets and engine size etc. It just i dont think the C4 gives you much input through the wheel like the cinquecento wll scare the crap out of you on the limits. i just dont get that with the C4 its too comfortable the car doesnt seem to tell you its on the limits the same way which is why i had the back end out 1 time and had no idea it was going out until it went. Im used to it now and i know what will happen when i drive it hard just not the same kind of drive as my other cars were. Then again all my other cars were a lot more chuckable round corners.
