20K service was £165 for me :)
-
Yeah I worried about that, but never had it - guess the reflective screen helps with that.

Stu's gettin tetchy because he didn't have the golf tee option :D and now he's suffering from ball ache :D Bah nah totally disagree. People who neeeed parking sensors are girls or people who need to learn how to park properly. People who use parking sensors just like to save a bit of time when squeezing into narrow spaces. My sensors were broken for a month or so...oddly didn't really miss them that much except when trying to fit into a space a mini would have struggled with  lol
-
Gord knows! I would have thought any of them with electrically adjustable mirrors could do it
-
How did you know about the golf tees for my balls?? Have you been peeeeeking again, Mr Stuey? What would Mrs. Stuey have to say about this?? Next thing you'll be tellin me you know about the automatic nose picking option with self detecting bogey device! I tell you what, you think you know someone till you find out they're a peeping Tom!!! (and yes you're right...visibility is pretty poor. I find the sensors just help you park a bit faster really, which helps!)
-
Not sure.....perhaps it only works if you have the feature for your wing mirrors to physically fold in when you lock the doors???
-
I wudn't let the present Mrs Lee hear you say that.....she can be quite violent! Anyway I've got to go...pressing matter with err the fridge, yes, that's it, owch! Coming dear.....
-
I don't drive a 2 litre for nothing!! Well I was going to watch a friend do their CBT at Mallory Park - and I had to drive round the course because of some work going on by the entrance....so I had a bit of a blast!! The playstation driver...bah!
-
126.....before a bend in the racecourse. How inconsiderate!
-
Indeedy it does...works quite nicely for those awkward sized/shaped curbs.
-
All this time you're on about welshy and other halves but it's really you who's the other half getterer in troublerer...*hides computer before mrs lee_marshuk appears*

Yep - it's linked to your wing mirror control unit. When in reverse, if you have the slidey switch set to left (as if you were going to tilt your passenger wing mirror), it adjusts to show the kerb. Similarly for the right.
-
That's the answer then - found out today that it's luck of the draw which head unit you got, however the techie did say it only seemed to be the earlier cars that complained of the issue. Early head unit (1) no MP3 support, later head unit (2) MP3 support? Seems that way then...
-
Allegedly the handbook states that the head unit "may" play MP3 CDs. I'm going to have a read tomorrow and see exactly what it says, however he said that some units are and others aren't - the only way to tell them apart is by their serial number ranges.
-
Right - well the back window falling out thing is an issue with the unit that houses the rear brake light etc - can't remember if you have the coupe or not - they are going to have to investigate it further, but if you crank the bass right up so it is making the noise permanently, and then hold the unit towards the opposite side of the car to where the sub sits - apply a bit of pressure, and it all goes away. Will keep you posted on that. As for the door fix the techy wasn't there but I'll phone up for you and find out. Leave it with me for a tick!
-
FYI the MP3 logo was added on the later revisions that's all. Now I remember the techie saying to me that the head unit on the standard radios ignored mp3s unless it was exactly the right specification - whereas the NaviDrive tells you it isn't right - I'll ask him again tomorrow and see what he has to say. Hmm...methinks my local garage is going to love me by the end of Wednesday!
-
Hehe sorry I am here, but been nowhere near a computer for a day or two. Yes, I had the same problem. You couldn't use the bass unless you were playing something really tinny because the rear window sounded like it was about to drop out and the door panels sounded like...yep...they were about to bloody blow off!! There is a fix registered on their system for it - as I've said before if they can't find it let me know and I'll find out the document number or similar for you, but as far as I can tell they replace the screws in the door panels with slightly taughter ones (is there such a word?) - cured it a treat for me. The next problem I had was the external door handle vibrating with the bass - that was cured quickly as well, although I don't know what they did. Finally - the rear window thing is a bit odd, I'm getting them to investigate this again tomorrow; it did go away for a while, but I think it's a cold thing - when the weather is a bit warmer, it doesn't seem to happen. I'll keep you posted on this one anyway. Go blow the blaady doors off mate!
-
lol yeah with that look of "shut the fooook up" on their faces....actually I tend to have that on whenever the other half is in the car *looks worriedly around for julia* *hides*
-
Stupid question - you were putting the MP3 CD into the main head unit and not a CD changer?
-
I've finally got the answer to this. Apparently there was some kind of issue with the warning system. On the earlier software releases it worked as a few of us had suggested - it used the pressure sensors to detect someone on the seat, and beeped if there was pressure and no belt i.e. someone sitting without their belt on. Owing to the problems, in a later software release which is applied whatever your car goes in for, this changes to beep only if a seatbelt is unplugged whilst in motion. The line I was given was "it ain't never gonna work again" - hmm :)

Nah I let her out before I park...and always pick her up again!

And just what is wrong with George Michael or the Weller????
-
True - but having said that I don't check my tyre pressures and oil level as frequently as I did on previous cars - I probably only do it every other month now, whereas I used to do it every fortnight.
