  1. well that makes two of us then welshy, cus I'm not sure either! :D
  2. nice one welshy!! Have to say mine is on auto all the time; never notice any difference in performance whether its on or not really.
  3. If bodyshop = ignore the problem, and go to halfords and do it yourself = confront the up to something girlfriend, then you should go to halfords all the way!!!! Way I see it, there's not very often smoke without a fire, I'm afraid!
  4. Aaaah no you see I like a nice bit of firm grip between my tyres and the tarmac, not skating on an ice rink!
  5. The 9706AG is for the RD4 unit only - so I think as long as you have the JBL upgrade, and not the Magneti RT3 unit ("NaviDrive"), then it should in theory work.
  6. wahey!!! no, quite, absolute bloody nightmare in the winter - mind you, aren't most places!! wouldn't fancy being in your neck of the woods this time of year!!
  7. Mine varies considerably, but ignoring anomalies most of my driving is motorway, and 85 in mine on the motorway will return 40-43 mpg, yet 70 will return 60+ mpg. So I guess all things told I average about 35-38 mpg, after you take in roadworks, town driving when I reach the client etc etc......still not bad when I drive the car to enjoy it as well as get me from A-B.... And talking of pleasure driving, there are still a good number of places you can drive pleasurably in the UK, take the Lake District, or Scotland, or some parts of Wales - its all about finding them though!!
  8. wait...you have 3 notches gone on your tank, and yet 472 miles left on the clock?? *scratches head* i need to drive more sedately me thinks :o (again, getting in before Stuey twisty twist twists the knife :o )
  9. yeah I know, the 4 x 4 was a hell of a smack!!!
  10. oooooh welshy
  11. mmmmm blue would love that......and blue is of course the best kind of glowy type colour in IT!!
  12. The VTS and the Exclusive trims are practically identical really, other than the Exclusive can have electrically adjustable driver's seat which the 3 door VTS can't, and has the marble surround, whereas the VTS has brushed steel surround and drilled pedals (which are cool and on my shopping list).
  13. There's a picture of it at parkers - Clicky - and it is standard across the range. Actually, I have found it useful once - this is my first diesel car, and it took a while to get used to the reduced rev range having driven petrols all my life - the glowing red certainly catches your eye quickly before the engine electronically limits you. Well of course not, you'll be a sensible driver and wear the car in won't you
  14. Ooooooh yes it glows red alright.... Ok I may as well say it before Stuey gets in to stabby stab stab stab yes I drive with mine on the red all the time...... Its not true actually, I hardly ever have to red line it, most of my driving is motorway anyway, but it is tempting when someone pulls up along side of you in a chavved saxo to show em who's boss
  15. Flirt line gets my vote!!!!
  16. As said in another thread, Citroens can be quite hit or miss. But, I haven't had any serious *touches wood* faults with the car, electrical or otherwise. The only thing that went wrong was the cruise control, everything else has been rattles, "known fixes" or the dreaded TMC licensing issue. I think Pugs and Citroens have advanced a lot in the recent years with the quality of their electrics, if not their customer service - it all seems well put together. Hope this helps - for what its worth, I'd buy the car again!
  17. They can do Siemens ECUs now, but not instantly it normally involves a trip to their warehouse.
  18. The CDs off eBay are pre-production ones - they don't have the completely up to date mapping and are, in the main, copies - one thing to beware is that a lot of the pre-production ones have a fault with the index files, and it can take 5 - 10 minutes to put in your destination.
  19. Can't help you out with the glass roof, but if you check past posts I'd uploaded some of my leather, jbl, navidrive etc etc congrats on new job, of course!
  20. I have had a reply from Citroen UK. They now say that they should not have advised me of a release date, since the papers have not been signed yet with Traffic Master. Well, that's a load of baloney, since if they hadn't signed the deal with TrafficMaster, there's no way Navteq could have been producing the disks, since Navteq would require the decoders, and I'm pretty sure TrafficMaster wouldn't release those until the signature was on the dotted line. I guess I'm running a bit out of steam, here, since it seems everyone at Citroen UK head office seems to have a degree in dreaming up excuses/fob off lines/anything of the sort to get customers off the phone as quickly as possible. My only 2 cents is to say, as I've already pretty much done, the deal must be in the pipeline since there are pre-production CDs about, and I know from a contact at Navteq the pre-production CDs are no longer being done so I would guess that means getting ready for main production. Case of hanging on, I guess. Now I know a few people on this forum are, like me, totally unhappy about being mis-sold the NaviDrive RT3 unit as being capable of TMC dynamic traffic re-routing when it clearly isn't licensed (yet) to do so. Perhaps, if anyone is interested in taking this further (i.e. to a legal level) as I am, they would PM me and we could make a collaborative effort? They might stand back and take some notice if a few of us complain, hey?
  21. Looks like you're having a pretty similar spec to me - I waited 16 weeks for mine
  22. I'm glad its not just me who's experienced the "why are you wiping its just cold its not actually raining" thing - it seems to be when its 9 degrees or lower, does around 20 dry wipes before realising it actually isn't raining.
  23. I like the automatic bit of the wipers - I've found mine to be very good. My only criticism of the wipers is that they are simply not capable of wiping fast enough in very wet conditions.
  24. Just an update - have spoken to Citroen UK today ref the CDs, they rather bulshily told me that the CDs weren't out till mid-2007, until I then gave them my existing case ref which clearly states Citroen are to give me a full refund on the NaviDrive System as it was mis-sold to me if the CDs don't arrive by the end of 2006 (the date I had pre-agreed with them I was prepared to wait until as a goodwill gesture). They're getting back to me tomorrow to let me know for definite, but by the sound of the guy on the phone from Citroen I think I'll be getting my money back - sounds like they've had some problems!!
