aaah right, that makes sense. The one bug the RT3 still has, and is unlikely to be fixed, is that if it finds a station (e.g. Classic) that transmits TMC info but it can't decode it, rather than moving on and perhaps even better adding it to a "blacklist", it keeps on trying for anywhere up to ten mins, by which time you are probably in the jam anyway! Interesting, I'll ask tomorrow because either there's been a serious delay or your dealer isn't aware of the CDs.
-
Where did you hear this from? I was told that it should be in the Citroen dealers by last quarter of this year - let me know so I can find out what's going on with this. One other thing - your TMC CD shouldn't work with Classic FM, only the Chrysalis radio stations since Classic FM broadcasts iTMC encoded TMC stuff which PSA do not have a license to use, whereas Chrysalis stations (Heart, Galaxy etc) broadcast TrafficMaster encoded TMC - are you sure about this?
-
The TMC updated discs should be out now.....if your dealer doesn't know what your on about let me know I'll get you the part number. Its dead easy to spot, since the CD states "powered by TrafficMaster". You can (I do) have the JBL and NaviDrive, yes. You don't loose the mp3 function either, but it becomes a bit pointless, since you can either take the Navi CD out and put an MP3 CD in (i.e. Sat Nav part of the unit doesn't function) or the other way round. There is no way with that kit of playing an MP3 CD and using the Satellite Guidance.

Wasn't this fixed in a recall months ago? I remember asking about it, and being told there was a bug with the immobiliser system that could prevent you from opening the car or starting the engine?

Yeah does look really cool, has a lot of nice features like re-routing round traffic problems, voice commands, auto-mute of radio/cd - plus going through the stereo amp directly so you can actually hear what its saying, nice POI support, integration directly with your directory (e.g. "Guide to, Mother - in -Laws") (although, incidentally, this one is programmed to take me on a trip from Wolverhampton to Birmingham via Paris, so I never actually get there  ) If you want to know anything specific about it.....let me know!

*coughs* Now look here Stuey I have my A international license now, so you have no right to make those sorts of remarks at me! *slopes off into background* On ESP, its a bit weird this because I have found that, on the couple of occasions I've needed it (overflowing drain round corner causing skid etc) its worked an absolute treat, but it does seem a little cautious about kicking in sometimes - in as much as I can easily spin my wheels off the line and it doesn't come on. The last car I drove with ESP it was pretty much impossible to spin the wheels on, since the slightest loss of traction and it corrected it immediately. Aaaah the flashy hazard lights things. Well since me and Wozza were talking about it, I was on the M54 when an accident happened right in front of my eyes....a tanker had a blowout and swerved across the carriageway into an Audi TT 3 cars ahead of me......that was a case of full braking power from 70 to 0 - and no hazard lights went on. So if that's not emergency stopping, I don't know what is! @C4VTS - the orange ESP light is to the left of the speedo.... *casts evil eyes at Stuey*

That's what I thought....until my mate's BMW 1 Series wipers were going for the same price, and they're only half the size!

I think it may be something to do with the software - since I had my software updated around a month after I had my car, the seat belt behaviour changed I'm sure. I would almost put money on when I had the first car it detecting the presence of people in the seat and beeping if they didn't have the seat belt on, but now as you rightly say it only beeps if someone actually takes their seat belt off when they had already plugged it in. Its actually one of my biggest bugbears people not wearing their belt in my car.

Hiya, Yes been offline for a few days been in London. I have matched Wozza's tickets (Sunday, 11, Premium). Doesn't matter for me where we meet; its only just down the road. We could meet for lunch or something at one of Birminghams pubs?

Fault - Reverberation On Side Panel Pockets
lee_marshuk replied to lee_marshuk's topic in C4 - Technical
Sorry was a bit vague with that... You know in the front, you have those side pockets attached to the plastic door panels don't you? Its those..... -
Just a FYI... @ Wozza...you may remember at the meet I said I couldn't have the bass on very loud since my side panels just buzzed and made it unlistenable.... There is a known fault - and a known fix for this. At certain frequencies bass will cause the side pockets to buzz like mad - they change the screws with some new ones, takes about 2 hours to do and I can definitely say it worked for me!! I've got the optional JBL kit with mine....

Birmingham is good for me! (10 miles down the road....)

Yeah precisely...if a problem took 6 hours to repair by trained, qualified and certified Citroen technicians then it took 6 hours. That's justified in one easy statement: "The trained, qualified and certified technicians here took 6 hours to fix this issue". Citroen can not possibly have an argument against that. KFK hit the nail on the head - you are going to encounter new problems with vehicles that's unavoidable; dealerships should not be made to feel like they can't spend the man hours fixing an issue because Citroen won't pay them for it - if that's the case, then something needs to change in Citroen's internal policies, doesn't it!
