  1. Well where to begin...I met up with Ham last night to go to a local car club. We met at a picturesque lakeside car park (very romantic :D ). we made our way round to where the meet is, I was leading and the person on the gate had a good old nosey round the interior of mine, she was very impressed with the digital speedo and steering wheel, all going well so far. We then park next to each other and go for a wander round and have a look at the 600bhp Skyline and the supra with a backend full of speakers and subs. When we get back to our cars there is a group of about 10-15 people round Hams car and no-one looking at mine :P I cant believe how many subtle differences there are between the 2 of them when they are parked next to each other. The VTS is lower, the windows are a lot darker and it looks more menacing especially with the lights on. So my car shopping list now reads VTS wheels, window tints, sound deadening and an Intergra Type R rant over...
  2. all you need is gods own repair kit...gaffa tape :P
  3. I want some sound deadening in the doors as they rattle like buggers when playing quite heavy bass tunes...Euphoria Classics+10 on volume control=massive vibrations in the doors :P
  4. I nominate Ham to lead to lead the convoy!! I am crap with directions...
  5. I had a look at a proper map and routefinder is a load of rubbish!! the M1 takes you about 40 miles to far north and then doubles back... I think Ham is right, I had the A52 in the mix somewhere too...

    Optimax

the ultimate/optimax fuels are filtered more (or something more scientific) to stop the build up of deposits that "normal" petrol has...according to the BP website...oh and they have just introduced 102RON petrol ;) I have read the same article in EVO and the bloke from Shell and Ferrari said that small engines wont feel the difference...they clearly havent driven a car with a small engine...I can feel the difference so thats all that matters and i dont think I will go back to lower octane petrol again...

32's not bad from an engine that size full stop!! If we got 32mpg instead of 19mpg from the focus ST our accountants would be much happier signing the petrol card account!!

thats not bad at all mate. it cost me £250 to have a new front wing sprayed although that was including the wing...not bad for 4 hours work...I wish I earned half that!! I will check out what yours looks like in the flesh on the 9th and see what its like...
  10. I have had a look at route finder and it say to take the M1 up to junction 35A. How about everyone coming from the south meets at Woodhall services as chances are you will be on the M1 anyway. That looks like the only feisable stopping place coming from the midlands. If you are coming from further south you guys might want to organise a meeting point, really depands on how far south you are...

Z3 I have no idea mate ;) it feels a lot more punchy and eager to go...It might just pschological but it feels different...

    Optimax

I use BP Ultimate most of the time and as I have a small engine the extra octane helps quite a lot. I filled up with Sainsbury's super (because it was running on fumes and I was sure it wouldnt make it the 10 miles to the BP garage) and it seems to run just as well as Ultimate and its about 7p a litre cheaper and on a 60 litre fuel tank makes quite a lot of different

mine had an average of 46.5mpg at an average speed of 31mph over about 300 miles according to the trip computer, to say I was impressed was an understatement!!
  14. either of those should do the trick nicely
  15. anyone know any services a few miles from junction 3 then?? I dont think I have ever driven on the M6 before...

if I do go for none Citroen wheels then it will have to be OZ Michelangelo 10 in titanium. Not cheap...about £750 for 18's with tyres but they are looovly

I am in two minds to be honest, I quite like the difference as they are...like Ciaran said, a bit of tyre shine brings them up lovely, same on the strips behind the drivers door...

I was thinking about having mine done on the same metallis black as the spoiler...
  22. I will follow Ham so that will be easy enough...I reckon if we pick a services on the M6 and meet there then convoy up to the pub we should be laughing. Most people will have to use the M6 anyway so if we meet there then we can get lost together :o
  23. I thought mine felt different when I picked it up from the control box recall!! they could have changed both!!
  24. 1 dave&trace 2 Wozza 3 Ham 4 Stuey
  25. was it you running out of talent or was there something else involved?? I would give it a while and shop around and you should be able to pick one up 8K...didnt you take the VRI that the dealerships offered when you bought it??
