They are W5W's for the Side lamp bulb

My car does this when in 5th... You put it into fifth by pushing all the way over to the right and then forward. It then moves back to the left, looking as if its in 3rd, as already stated. Then, if you move it back to the right and pull it out of gear, the gear doesn't actually disengauge, the stick just floats around somewhere between 5th, neutal and reverse. If you put it back into 5th, and then just pull it out with out moving the stick right, it comes out normally and back to neutral. Its a very strange 'box, the one in the C1 I had was miles better!!!

I was going to PM you, just to get your view on the matter. As you are aware of this post, there seems little point in PM'ing you now. Any ideas KFK???

Right, you may or may not know that my car recently went in for a few issues to be looked at. The dealer came back to me and said that the car required a new Catalytic Converter, a new Clutch and new Pads and Disks all round. Hidsons were trying to get all this done under warrenty. Now, Citreon have come back and said that they will do the Cat, but not the Brakes or Clutch Now at 27000 miles, 1- I agree the Cat should be done under warrenty 2- I agree the brakes are probably worn and that this is not covered under warrenty, Im greatful to Hidsons for trying though. 3- I dont agree that the clutch has failed through wear and tear. in fact I dont agree that the clutch has failed at all. The clutch is fine when cold, but once warm and used in heavy traffic, becomes very stiff and feels 'gritty' when pressed/released. It sort of creaks when the pedal is released. If it were a cable clutch, I'd say the cable had dried out. Now, I feel that the clutch is fine and that it is something else that is at fault, be it a hydraulic system componenet, pedal assembly etc. The clutch works fine, its just the way it works that is suspect. It doesn't slip at all. Now, Hidsons have said they will investigate it and, if they find a manufacturing fault, will chase Citroen up on the warrenty. However, if Citroen stick to there wear and tear line, it'll cost me 6.8hrs at £65 per hour in labour!!! Im at a bit of a loss as to what to do. The clutch works fine as I say, so at the moment im thinking along the lines of living with it and if anything happens and it fails, ill just have to get it dragged to a dealership. On the other hand, if it fails and they know that I know it was suspect, but didnt get it checked, will they screw me over on a warrenty claim. I really cant afford to pay £450 odd quid for them to look for a fault that may not even exist. I'm just going on what Hidsons have told me at the moment. They haven't told me why they think the clutch needs replacing. It'd be nice if KFK could look at this, although he hasnt been around much lately. Who are the Citroen Techs on here again??? Ill drop them a PM and ask them what they think. Thanks for any info.

Ahh good, I dont have the lights, the VTR+ dont have them, but the wiring is there!!! PLAN!!!
-
Looks highly impressive!!! You just need to sort the side lights now, dey yellow man!!! On a side note, this is just for the dipped headlamps isnt it, not full beam??? Maybe Wozza can sticky these, otherwise they are gonna get seperated.

How did you get the ones in the door to work??? I know there is a spare plug in the door for the door light, you just connected up to this???

Im sure the way my interior light functions has changed recently. Im sure it used to come on when you switched the engine off, but now it only seems to come on once the engine is off and you have taken the key out of the ignition. Secondly, you know the C4 does that 'HERE I AM' flash flash thing if you push the lock button once its already locked, well when I do this, the interior light comes on. Im sure it never used to do that either. I have recently been investigating a way of installing 'Ambiance Lighting'. My Brothers Civic has this and its quite nice. All it is is some Blue LED's in the footwells that come on and go off with the interior lights brightly, or if the headlights are on, they stay on but are very dim. You may be surprised to hear that Honda deems it acceptable to charge customers £200 for these three LED's!!! I just bought some for about 10p each. I have been thniking of doing this with Orange LED's. It seems a bit of a sod though cause all the existing cabling seems very small, and I dont really want to load it up any more, even though the LED's I have only take 8.5 mA each. Also, trying to find and trace any cabling in this car is a nightmare!!! The other thing is, in my old Rover, the fading was done by gradually removing the return path. On the C4, it seems that it is the 12V that is 'faded' in and out. This puts a bit of a spanner in my circuit design!!! Does the C4 use a switched return system, or is it a switched voltage system???

How do they fix the self-sliding armrest!!! Mine does it, but only when the weather is very warm, so its difficult to demonstrate it.

I think the new C4 Picasso is brilliant. I love the styling outside and the interior is probably one of the nicest interiors out there at the moment. I say well done Citroen and hopefully it will sell as many as the older Picasso, which is still a great car.
-
Well come on then Boi!!! Pics, info, report??? WHERE ARE THEY??? <_<
-
Course your not negelcting it. The fact your checking is the main thing. If you check, and you find something, you can do something about it. Its the people who dont check who have the problems. My car has done about 10000 miles since its last service, and the oil is still on the Max mark and is a golden colour. These XU series engines seems to be very good on they're oil.
-
Is it not a variable one on the C4 like VAG cars??? Theres drop quickly if the car is drive more 'sportily' and slowly if its driven sedately.
-
I wouldnt mind that rear spoiler. What engine is it though??? It looks quite antiquated!!!
-
Halogen??? I have Halogen on my car as standard anyway. I dont really know what the auction is for, a standard light???
-
I imagine its possible, but you have 3 Displays, plus all the controls, push buttons etc. Its a lot of work.
-
Can anyone actually say what the Tech's need to do to enable the dispaly, what option they have to activate etc. My car is going in again soon to have some work finished. id like to ask for this to be done.
-
Dont think so. I know what you mean, I think thats a bit of a design flaw!!! Also, I find that you have to give the windows a quick squirt, otherwise the mess on the window just smears across the sensor and the wipers go mental!!!
-
Knowing what I do about them and having used them, it certainly wouldnt boter me too much if I didnt have them. Although, I would want some variable spees wipers, rather then just 'Intermittant', 'Slow' and 'A Bit Faster'!!!
-
Yeah, but as he says, on a icy day, the wipers are going to want to wipe, whilst stuck to the screen. Anyway, they are automatic once you have activated them.
-
Yeah, sorry bout that. I posted it, and it was Mahoosive!!!
-
Got them in now. They dont look that blue, more white then blue. Here is a pic, excuse the quality... http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/5224/lightspm2.jpg The light all have a uniform 'Whiteness' now, instead of the yellow.
-
You have to set them everytime you get in by pushing the wiper stalk down. I know in some cars the auto wipers have an on/off switch, but the C4 is done in software I think. Not a massive problem.
-
When I had my C1 Courtesy Car, I called it 'The Rollerskate'!!! It is just like one though, and I agree, very nippy for such a small engine. Really enjoyed the time I had with it, never failed to put a smile on my face and I thought it was really well built. No rattles, creaks or squeaks. I suppose there is nothing to rattle though!!!

Im gonna ask loads of Q's here, cause its something I may be interested in doing once I have sorted the front end out. How do you get the cables down through the seat? How do you connect it up to the existing screen, just splice into the loom??? Actually, thats it, thats not loads of Q's at all!!!
