About 12 litres infolink

You say it sounds like the parking assistant (reversing sensors).....i just wonder if the reverse light switch is faulty and causing the reverse lights to be activated and the 'bong' noise......obviously you cant see the reverse lights when your driving, however could you get your local garage to disconnect the reverse switch on the gearbox temporarilly to see if the noise dissapears.....if it does than you need a new reverse switch.

Disconnecting the battery on modern cars can cause a variety of problems if when reconnected the computers arnt reinitialised. The thing is everyone thinks were just tyrying to have them over when we say its not a 5 minute job any more. Stalling problems, noisy engines, windows not auto closing, mirrors not folding, gearboxes changing gear eratically, engine management system faults, satelite navigation faults and as you have found imobilizer faults, all potential problems caused by disconnecting a battery and not reinitializing everything after the memorys have been lost.

The vehicle has an alarm which if the battery goes flat in the remote control you wont be able to turn off. To assist you in cancelling the alarm it allows you to open the door insert ignition key and press button to cancel siren sounding. Its other use is to turn off the ultrasonic sensors so you can leave the mother in law locked in the car without setting the alarm off!....also usefull if you have a pet or need to leave a window partially open while locked. You should find information on this near the 'how the alarm works' section in your handbook

Remove the interior trim panel for the tailgate and check the plastick membrane under it is sealed correctly.
-
Possibly caused by an injector coming loose and allowing unburnt fuel to linger under the bonnet and come in through the heater vents. Recommend a dealer visit to have the injectors removed and new seals fitted, expect costs around £350

......or you could try the magnet trick as mentioned previously.
-
you say you want to do it properly......and then talk about using a method of thumb and forefinger to check the tension......if your going to use this method it wont be correct and if you get it too far wrong you will end up with premature belt failure either through being to slack or too tight......what prices are you being quoted?
-
yes it does have a knock sensor as per fuel economy.......i would think you would have a smoother engine and possible more responsive, wether it would be a cost benefit though you would have to try it to find out.
-
Did you take the bleed screw right out of the regulator? If you did,, have you found a small (7mm) ball bearing on the floor that hasnt been put back under the bolt? If you have lost it and cant get one from your local cycle repairer the citroen part number is 21710.

Refit the original Citroen Unit and have the new radio installed profesionally.

Might be worth asking why they are getting rid of it at 2 years old.....maybe they have had problems with it. On a plus note the vehicle still has the remainder of its 3 year warranty on.....try to get a test drive in it and confirm you feel comfortable with it......customers either love'm or hate'm -

Of course , you could just pop down to your local Citroen dealer with the chassis number for your vehicle and get the correct one........for the amount of faffing about tryin to find one that fits i cant believe it will be that expensive!
-
Probably caused by weak springs in the indicator switch.....putting gentle pressure downwards or upwards on the switch will ussually replicate and alloww you to confirm the cause of the problem. If they are weak the repair is to replace the switch......or be irritated!

Operate the key in the n/s (passenger front door)....just lock and unlock a few times, then put key in ignition, turn it on and press remote control button for 10 seconds. Turn the ignition off, wait 2 minutes, then operate central locking remote to activate central locking......try to start it. Trot back in doors and post a message to tell us how you got on.

Knackered isnt particularly good adjective to describe any failed component.....to establish why the steering rack has failed it would be good to know what faults the vehicle is demonstrating to come to the conclusion its 'knackered'. So what exactly is the steeing doing/not doing to cause a diagnosis of knackered?

You will need a Smartbypass relay - http://www.rydertowing.co.uk/pricelist/login.aspx take a look here

Yes ......take it to your dealer, modified dipsticks are available.......and regarding the bit left inside...push the dipstick in hard and it will push into the sump.....wont cause any damage as its made of nylon and filters stop it getting anywhere important.

Sorry to dissapoint, but i dont think it will work: - late 'facelift' cars have a CAN-CAN protocol - early cars have a VAN - CAN protocol Basically if you get a lead and connect the two units i dont think they will talk to each other.
-
they can go on whichever corner you want to put them on, the only time it will be a problem is when you stick one one in the spare and the spare on a corner.....the spare doesnt have a sensor.
-
And if it has a transponder it will need coding once you get it

Might add, that clutches in general are not covered by warranty unless a manufacturing defect can be determined. Considering the vehicle has only recently come into your ownership i dont suppose your in a position to say if it has been driven carefully during its 1st 12,000 miles. I would consider it a gamble for any customer who is told it will be covered by warranty if a warranty defect is found.....in my experience you have a high chance of being responsible for costs, and you accept that responsibility when you ask them to investigate the fault. Have sent you a PM
