Anyone got a EGS gearbox system? I'm looking to change my C5 eventually and would like some opinions please. Possible 13% car tax in 2008/9. Cheers Eddie

Kfk Is it possible to swap my official Citroen fitted Clarion cd autochanger from my new look C5 to my C1? The only reason I ask is that the wiring systems are different, and I was advised that I couldn't put it in the Picasso ( Can van and can bus, and all that business) Cheers Eddie

Martin I would bite the bullet and get a Citroen dealer to do it after haggling a price over parts and labour. Worth paying extra for peace of mind. Eddie

Just had a 62.5k service and need to book in to replace particulate filter. Garage says it takes about hour and a half to replace filter, and then hour and half for new eolys fluid to drain into tank by gravity. Will let you know cost when job done.

I beleive that all diesel cars will have a particulte filter as standard very soon due to an EEC directive.

Mat It's called the B pillar, and I suggest you get it looked at under warranty, the fixings have probably come loose

Kfk According to my V5C, my engine no is JB 100010046. Presumably the last 5 numbers would relate to the filter changing at 75k? Thanks Eddie

Kfk Does the particulate filter on my 1.6 Hdi 110 need changing at 62.5k or at 75k? The service book says earlier, but I thought I heard my Dealer say latter. Thanks Eddie Ps, it's been fine since a sensor was changed in the system. PPS read an article today that all diesels will have to have part.filters for new directive EEC emissions and will add about £600 to the cost of a diesel car.

My dealer updated their rear window sticker, so I changed it to the new one <_< How sad is that then? ;)

Kfk Seems to be expensive when the time comes to replace the Partculate Filter. Good job I have a maintenence contract on my C5 and my Pic and C1's are petrol. I suppose the price you have to pay to reduce emissions, and there are a lot of Particulate Filters out there.

Just picked up the C1 yesterday, talk about seat of your pants stuff :angry: It's like a roller skate with four wheels. Very, very nippy. Windy windows and no central locking. £99 deposit and £99 a month.Fantastic! The engine has Toyota stamped on it as we knew, can't be bad eh?

The fan is noisy on my C5 1.6 Hdi, but you just get used to it.

Raveydavey I think you have answered my question. Try and fnd a dealer that is not part of a multi for better service and advice.

Ravedavey Was the Citroen Dealer a part of a large chain or a family run business? I get on well with my Citroen Dealer as they are a family run business and trust them 100%. I have 2 Citroen Dealers closer and I have to travel twice the distance, but the closer ones are owned by multis and I think they have targets :(
