  1. P3007 Camshaft position sensor no signal P0102 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input You could try cleaning the air flow meter by spraying it with carburettor cleaner and also checking its electrical connector is clean. Its Citroen part no. may be 1920LC and the cam sensor might be 1920QN. From citroencarparts.net the flowmeter is £127 and the cam sensor £23 but you should check the part nos. using your VIN. Your local Citroen dealer may also give you a discount if you ask and do not require the parts the next day since they can then get them at a lower cost. If you look on the eurocarparts site using your car reg they may be a lot cheaper than this but beware that sometimes cheap air flow meters do not always work as well as originals. These part nos. can also be used on such as ebay.
  2. Is your car the 2008 to now model or the 2004 to 2008 one ? The complete lighting up of the dash previously does not seem right, our Citroens are/have been a 2003 and 2010 C3, 2008 and 2011 C4, 2004 and 2007 C5 and on these when the doors have been unlocked only the mileage would display for a short while. Did you have a diagnostic check at the Citroen dealers on the locking system ? Have you tried opening another door and also seeing if the dash shows when the driver's door is open ? You can also check if the wiring between the driver's door and pillar is broken. I would also try the key blade in the door locks, locking/unlocking a few times in case one is stuck in the lock position. Try the bsi reset mentioned above. There is also a comms 2000 reset procedure used on a C3 to consider since the lighting and possibly remote receiver may be in this unit http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/22284-wipers-washers-stopped-working/
  3. Welcome to the forum. Is your car the 2004 to 2008 or 2008 on model, which engine is it and what precise model - eg LX, VTR, exclusive ? How much of the dash board would light up - on our cars only the mileage would show until the key was put in the ignition ? In Citroens, if the doors are unlocked but not opened, then they auto lock after 30 seconds - it sounds as if this is happening and if so opening the driver's door is not being recognised by the car. Try opening another door after using the key remote and see if it does not auto relock - this will help decide if it is a problem with the driver's door lock (or its wiring) or the central locking system. Also see if the dash display shows when the driver's door is open. Try these before doing the bsi reset just in case that causes other problems. The cars also have auto locking when above about 6mph and this is activated by holding down the dash lock button (possibly needing the engine running). The doors then unlock when opening them from inside.
  4. The cause of the emissions light being on could be anything that has an effect on the exhaust emissions but is definately nothing to do with the cabin pollen filter. So if the owner is lying about this then I would be very careful about the car. If you have a code reader that will do a 2003 diesel (not all do since EOBD was not required until 2004 on diesels) you can plug it in to the socket which is located in the glove box behind a small panel that pulls off. Then get the fault code and put it on here or do an internet search to see what it may mean. Whilst the fault is showing, the car may run in limp mode so not perform that well.
  5. The second battery can be seen here http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/New-Genuine-Citroen-C2-C3-C3-II-12V-40A-Start-Stop-Battery-5600QZ-1607440980-/131133982937

    Egr Valve

Welcome to the forum. egr valves are not meant to open until the engine is warmed up, so unless they have not used a genuine new part, or there is an air leak, or possibly a leak on the vacuum hoses to it (splits are common where they join to actuators and these can be the problem and not the egr valve or a turbo fault that has been flagged up), or maybe everything was not put back correctly, then the problem may not be related to the egr. Such as a coolant sensor giving the wrong engine temperature so the fueling is not correct - to find something like this may need another diagnostic check.
  7. Welcome to the forum.
  8. You may have got the wrong control, have you looked in your handbook ? If you do not have a handbook, ones from 2007 can be seen/printed/saved from the service.citroen site http://service.citroen.com/ddb/ you may need to select your language. In the one for a 2007 to 2008 C3 it has the speed limiter control is located under the steering wheel at the left side, I found it by looking in the contents page. At the side of the radio is an overspeed alert activation switch and it gives this: Overspeed alert Function for keeping to a desired maximum speed. A short press on control E activates this function (the warning lamp lights up). To pre-set or modify the desired alert speed, when you have reached this speed, give a long press on control E (located on the dashboard central panel) until you hear a confi rmation gong. An audible signal indicates that the programmed speed is being exceeded. To cancel Give another short press on control E to deactivate this function (the warning lamp goes out). Note: The overspeed alert only functions for speeds above around 30 km/h (around 18 mph).
  9. The stop & start car batteries are different to standard ones - see this one on the eurocarparts site and are designed for a lot of use, but cost more http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Citroen_C3_1.4_2006/p/car-parts/car-electrics-and-car-lighting/electrical/car-battery/?444779101&1&e5d3c2b709a46f53cea42f4cef8f422b42564f2a&000020 There may also be a second battery needed since the Citroen parts diagrams list a 40 amp battery 5600QZ as well as the 400 amp battery 5600QY.
  10. If it is the plastic bits on the steering wheel, then Citroen only supply a complete wheel, not the separate bits on it. The plastic shroud below the wheel and the VMF control inside the wheel are available as separate parts. There are a few different wheels so to get the right one you need to use your VIN at the dealer. Fitting the steering wheel is not straight forward since the air bag has to be removed and then the control unit inside the wheel has to be locked with a special tool before the wheel can be removed but the labour is listed as less than 1 hour to remove and refit it. A steering wheel could be about £150 to 400 depending on your VIN, the VMF control unit around £215. At these prices, I would consider using filler in the scratches and then repainting, or live with it and if caused by wearing rings then remove these.
  11. Porsche430 is correct, the file attachment does not work on this site, despite it looking as if it will.
  12. The listing says it is left hand drive but in the photos it is difficult to tell. Also it says it is green but the photo colour is icelandic grey (pale bluish grey).
  13. Shame about the damage, but fortunately it happened before you had the clutch replaced. Whether deciding to claim you should look at the value of your car and if the insurer will pay a reasonable amount to write it off then you could be better off by claiming, taking in to account the xs and any loss of no claims - but I guess you have done these sums already. Depending on the condition of the good bits on your car, you could use it as a donor vehicle if you get one with a high mileage. Or do it the other way round to repair your car.
  14. It may not be too easy to just swap the radio units. Before buying one, make sure the connectors on the back are identical since the various radios have different ones. Also the radio aerial parts/wiring are different if you have a sat nav so this will all need to be changed. If you find a donor vehicle, it would be best to remove all the wiring to the radio, obtain the aerial, its base and the wiring and connector boxes between the aerial and radio. It is also possible a rear window may have a built in aerial so look for any elements on them as found on the back window heater. If you need to get all these and the radio from a dealer expect to pay in excess of £1000. Once installed it may need to be set up by the dealer using their diagnostic equipment and they would be able to install the latest maps. Beware that Citroen sat navs do not let you find somewhere using post codes, you need to input the address, starting with the town, then the street. If you want to use coordinates these are not OS grid references but latitude/longitude. This topic may be of interest http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/20334-configure-cd-changer-locally-dursleygloucesterbristol-area/ Nearly forgot, Citroen radios are linked to the original cars so they can not be used on another one - so check at a dealer that they can reprogram one from another car - you probably will need documentation to show it was not stolen.
  15. The Xsara Picasso suffered with rain getting through the back doors and in to the rear footwells and collecting in the cupboards under them. Here I think the fix was to make sure the plastic lining was fastened/sealed to the door. Ours would fill up only at the right side but it was not getting in through the door, it seemed to come from the front and I never managed to fix it but left the floor drain plugs out.
  16. If you have the VIN (VIS) you can see the car details yourself on the service.citroen site in the Characteristics section of the parts diagrams. You will need to register as another professional and a member of the Citroen Owners Club http://service.citroen.com/pages/index.jsp You can select any language and do not need to use French. This is a free service. If you can see the car now without having to wait until you get it, the VIN can be obtained by looking at the bottoom of the windscreen on the outside so you could check the car is being sold with the correct description. Also you can look at the parts to see if there is any difference between the various models. In the UK garages are also meant to correctly describe the cars, but they can make mistakes. A couple of years ago we were looking to buy a C3 with the 1.4vti 95 bhp engine. One Citroen dealer tried to convince me a 75 bhp one was the 95, despite me pointing out the cam cover was not wide enough for 2 camshafts and the engine code in the VIN was for the 75 engine. Their response was engines are getting narrower these days and they had checked a phone app using the car number plate so I must be wrong - we went elsewhere. They had more than 1 C3 being wrongly advertised.
  17. In a January 2006 Citroen C3 UK brochure it has the stop & start listed only against the 1.4i petrol 16v 90 bhp sensodrive SX. It is not listed against any other engines. There is a 1.6i petrol 16v 110 bhp sensodrive exclusive but stop & start is not shown. Apart from these 2 there are no other sensodrive models. The 1.4 with stop & start is the only one with rear parking sensors as standard but can be an option on the exclusive models (but the exclusives are only 1.6i 16v 110 bhp sensodrive and 1.6 hdi 16v 92 bhp). Handbooks from 10/2007 for the C3 can be seen on the service.citroen site and in the UK and French versions it only has the stop & start against the 1.4i engine. http://service.citroen.com/ddb/ So, it may be possible the car you are getting was not available in the UK. It makes sense it only being on the smaller engine since its aim is to reduce fuel consumption. Compared to the none stop & start 1.4i 90 bhp engine it increases official fuel economy urban from 37.2 to 40.9 mpg, extra urban 56.5 to 57.6 and combined 47.1 to 49.6 with CO2 reducing from 143 to 135 g/km. I would think the battery and alternator in a stop & start car are likely to be different to ones in a car without this feature and probably will have a higher power output/capacity.
  18. The MOT testers manual can be seen on-line on one of the gov.uk sites. The latest one with updates is always shown but it may still show the date of the last complete issue. On the tyre pressure monitoring it looks as if it will not be checked on your car since it gives: The inspection of the tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) only applies to passenger vehicles with: · four or more wheels, and · not more than 8 passenger seats excluding the driver’s seat, and · first used on or after 1 January 2012 The check does not apply to quadricycles. http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/htdocs/m4s04000106.htm In a 2003 Citroen C5 brochure it lists the 90 hp 2.0 hdi only for the LX model so it is unlikely to be in the VTR and exclusive ones - let us know what you find when you check your VIN (can be seen at the bottom of the windscreen passenger side from the outside as well as the V5C and Ciroen Maintenance and Warranty guide). Xenon headlights and washers are listed as standard for the exclusive in this brochure. If you have a diy job then possibly the washers that pop out of the front bumper could be missing but these are needed for the MOT. You could also check the Characteristics (left column) for your car using your VIN (VIS) which will list the types of lights it was supplied with (also will give engine) on the Citroen parts diagrams. These can be seen as a free service if you register as another professional and a member of the Citroen Owners Club on the service.citroen site http://service.citroen.com/do/changerParametres
  19. Your radio handbook will tell you. In the one with our 2007 C5 with Navi drive it says it will only read files with the extension '.mp3' and that other file types can not be read (.wav, .mpg4, .ogg, midi, etc).
  20. There are many different forums owned/run by different people, some more popular than others (check the number of posts/topics/members) and some only cover specific models. There are forums in other countries if you are ok with translation. It is a case of finding one that is popular for your car and interests and gives the help that you need and occassionally looking at others or internet searching on a specific problem will bring up relevant posts across the various forums. Trying to use many forums can waste your time. This forum covers all Citroen models and is particularly strong for the C5 with many C5 owners including the current moderators. It is also clearly split in to the various models.
  21. You have listed them all but if you want a specific car you may need to travel a long way. You could also try a Citroen dealer in case they are getting one as a part ex. There are auctions but with a good demand they probably would not end up there. When I changed from a 2004 hatchback to a 2007 estate, it took me a year before I managed to get one at a low enough mileage and the right spec and then by chance it was only 3 miles away so I beat the rush/queue of people wanting it. This was a trader/garage using Autotrader. If you need to raise your budget, if you later sell the car then it is likely you will get it back. For some reason estates dearer than hatchbacks (also when new), maybe not many were made and people with them do not want to change.
  22. Welcome to the forum. Did the car work normally before and what happened/occurred last time the car worked such as was it jump started or used to start another car ? You could try a battery disconnection/reconnection since this sometimes helps with electrical problems, failing that I think you may be best to visit a Citroen dealer. The following is copied from the Technical section Common Problems pinned topic: 20. Odd electrical problems caused by wrong battery disconnection procedure. If you need to disconnect the battery and not do a BSI reset procedure, I have found the following has not given me any problems on a 2004 and 2007 C5 and a 2003 C3: - remove the ignition key from the car - open the bonnet - wait a few minutes for the BSI to shut down - disconnect the battery negative terminal When reconnecting - ignition key out of the car - reconnect the battery - wait a few minutes - insert the key in the ignition and wait a minute - turn the key to the first position and wait a minute - turn the key so the dash lights come on and wait a minute - start the engine - take the windows down and up to reset the anti pinch - reset the clock (and radio on the C3).
  23. Just had a look in a C4 handbook for 2014 models and the section on Adblue for the blue hdi engines says the adblue tank is 17 litres and this will be enough for 12500 miles between services so will be topped up then. At the above cost of 10 litres for £16 it could be about £30 at a dealer with labour. Probably the lifetime cost compared to eolys is not going to be much different. The handbook says low level warnings are given but if it runs out the engine is prevented from running to avoid high engine emissions. If the car does about 12.5 miles a litre of diesel (about 56 mpg), then this is 1000 litres to 17 litres of adblue, so dosage is about 1.7%. It shows in the book how to top up diy and the filler cap is in the boot next to the spare wheel well (where you can put a spare wheel/jack/wheel brace/wheel nut cover removal tool if you buy them).
  24. Without spending a lot, this one from Gendan at £39 seems good value since it also gives some engine sensor live data https://www.gendan.co.uk/product_FXNT200.html If you want to spend more then there are Chinese copies of the Lexia to install on a lap top are available for about £100 from such as ebay or easydiagnostics. These will give access to most of the car unlike most low cost OBD2 tools which just give fault codes related to engine emissions. I have not used these so can not comment on how good they are.
  25. Welocome to the forum. The aerial is either on the outside of the roof at the back or is built in to one of the rear windows. Aerial type depending on vehicle : A three-function aerial (GSM/GPS/radio)A dual function aerial (GSM/GPS) and a radio aerial in the rear quarter panel window
