  1. i think ist the cars vin number that goes in there. As it then marrys that bsi to the ecu and stops them getting swapped. But maybe a quick call to bba first though
  2. Just outside newcastle bonny lad. meets have never been mentioned on this site. But i think it would be a good idea and i would definatley be up for it.
  3. Hello and welcome to the forumcccc Saxos are very easy to keep on the road.we got no 1 son a saxo and its still going strong. There the same as a peugeot 106 so theres plenty parts around. only common fault weve come across is the rear axle bearing but whole axles can be picked up very cheaply and are a very very easy to fit
  4. Often thought abought licensing a old classic and doinf weddings etc etc
  5. What the overspeed does is when you go over 30 or 70 the car makes a bong noise and a message comes up on your display to say you are going over the speed limit. Scroll thru the menu via the end of the wiper stalk when you get to the overspeed press and hold the end of the stalk in to switch it on and off
  6. The price is that what you paid or what your wanting ha ha. does it run ok
  7. think im losing the plot a little bit as this posting clearly says c5 exclusive and despite reading it ive giving the wrong answer. both john and random are correct just another tester that dosnt know citroens. simple wipe down dose the trick as there just hydraulic rams.
  8. most citroens have a 15 year anti corrision waranty. So if you stick to the body service scdedule you should be ok
  9. glad your enjoying your citroen and welcome to the site. well done on your 1st posting. Citroens like any other make have there faults but overall i rate them as one of the better buys. we run c5s and get 3 to 400k out of them before we even think of getting rid of them
  10. Go for the 2 litre
  11. look at the amount of space in that bay. no ecu no limp mode no dpf. its got to be 40 year old and i bet it runs like a dream. there used to be a bit of a joke about these in that every job in the engine bay started with remove spare wheel
  12. . What kind of life has the car had though if its been all speed bumps and pot holled roads then 4 years seems good . If its been main roads and motorways id expect a lot more out of them. Oh the joys of normal suspension this is where i think citroen has dropped a bollock by not makiing all mk3 c5s with hydropneumatic suspension
  13. has yours got the sat nav built in
  14. Think your going to have to connect the car to a diagnostic machine. otherwise its just guess work. Quick checks you can do yourself is Fuel amount . Broken wires. Imobiliser sync' General look around the engine bay for obvious faults.
  15. when you put the ignition on can you hear the intank pump undr the back seat priming
  16. No adapter or coonversion kit available. You have the newer shape relay and youve bought the older shape light that will never fit. reading between the lines it sounds like your original fault was a earth or wrong bulbs probllem. please supply a bit more info
  17. cars always look good in black.and welcome to the forum
  18. class that . Any chance of some engine pics
  19. sorry but it will only take a 2 g sim card. A 56 plate is quite newish for cars but the technology for the phone paring is 7 years out of date
  20. Im assuming you mean the heater fan inside the car. These are tricky when they play up but most of the time its the resistor pack on the side of the heater. Depending on what model its is then it will be in either the pass side or the drivers side floor well. drivers side = opposite the clutch pedal towards the center of the car. passenger side next to the pollen filter again towards the center of the car. both have four wires going to the multiplug. But you should be able to get the blower to work on no 4 setting if this is the fault. If no action from the blower on any setting then you need to start checking relays and wiring for continuity or breaks so a multimeter is required. What was the reason you changed the 1st one and do you have the electronic control or manual
  21. Nope no way of lifting it manualy. I would be questioning the specialist because he should know its his job and when using a lexia theres nothing you cant find on a citroen
  22. what diagnostic are you using as most bog standard one's of ebay wont do the suspension as they are really just for engine codes
  23. Nope not portsmouth. We are in south shields just outside newcastle
  24. Ok first you really need to get the car on a diagnostic machine otherwise your just guessing and in the dark. The suspension really is quite straight forward just 2 sensors a pump and a ecu controling 4 hydraulic rams but you must have diagnostic tools. Qhar area are you in
