  1. £200 dont be insulted its just what we pay as thered be a 100 in fuel 1x car down there and 2 x cars back plus 2 lots of wages for the day plus expenses
  2. Coil pack But get it plugged in with a indy or dealer first
  3. Wow Right then where to start The way you want to go with this first is to forget about the bike pump youl do more harm than good. your landrover friend has pointed you in the right directions but just pulling this and that of hoping for results is not the way forward. Bite the bullet and take it to the dealers to plug it in they can then actuator test on the egr valve, fuel pump etc etc. If you dont want to go down that route then start by checking all the rubber pipes, wires etc. Battery side of the car just behind the fuse box there a black plastic cover remove it and youl have acsess to the solonoids and more tubing. And are you saying the car hasnt had a service in a 130k (your oricinal posting)if so you MUST do a full service with a oil flush and drain the intercooler before you can go any further
  4. Best to remove both terminals and take the battery out. That way you know there no chance of any acidental reconection. To remove the airbag first remove the cowling around the steering wheel then straighten the wheel up and put your hands in the 9.15 position and move them behind the steering wheel and youl feel 2 holes. Theres no screws or nuts/bolts holding it on. Its held on with something similar to a hook and eye system use a mirror or put your fingers in and youl feel a thin metal bar Thesse need to be pushed out over on each side and the airbag will just pull away. Weve used picks/screwdrivers all kinds to pull them apart. be carfull that you dont pull to hard on the airbag as if it comes away to quick youl run the risk of snapping one of the wires
  5. Cambelt change is that bad cost wise belt+pulleys+water pump just under a hundred plus labour if your not doing it yourself. If you havent got the pins for locking the enginr up buy a set for a ford focus 1.6 there the same pins but half the price £11
  6. Still learning about diagnostics so i might be wrong but they dont look like the fault codes we get. What tool/machine did he use to get them with
  7. Supermarket fuel are cheap because they bulk them up with silicone. Try a some shell ultra clean see if that help
  8. Howay admin block this joker with the wedding posts
  9. It couldnt be when you use certain garages for fuel try and think or do you use the same garage all the time
  10. Has the dealer not been upfront with you already as they told you there was no point in doing a diagnostic if the car was running ok. Some garages would take your diagnostic fee and tell you theres no faults recorded. The only way to start to sort this out is to leave it with the dealer overnight then in the morning they can plug the car in go to live data and see what the engine is doing as it warms up as thats when the fault mainly ocours
  11. Something similar but wont affect you as yours is a auto but you never know it might point you in a direction to take . 2009 c5 2litre diesel exactley the same symptons as your but its a manual. Car was a bitch till warmed up then ran ok Turned out to be the dual mass flywheel. New one in and the car is running fine now
  12. Capless sidelight bulbs
  13. before you start changing bits on the box you should really get a diagnostic done on the box as it might be a very simple fix. Also it might pay you to pm cfryve on hear as he rebuilt a auto box last year and could give you some helpfull info
  14. Check the wires that join the tailgate from the car remove the rubber covering them and also check wires going into headling and tailgate as this is were they normally break due to tailgate open/shutting
  15. Ask them to get the injectors tested to make sure
  16. Sounds like your spheres might need changing
  17. If its a chinese version id leave it alone as there prone to killing the ecu,s
  18. YES
  19. By turning the key on and of a few times and it will then start straight away. What your doing there is priming the diesel system and expelling any air in it. So your problem is fuel related so you need to check for loose/leaking/broken seals on the fuel lines also check the fuel filter housing for breaks/seal damage akd lastly gheck the spill return pipes on the injectors
  20. Sell it get rid of it or find someone you dont like and give them it. But if your going to keep it make sure you use a flushing oil aswell. John is spot on with them doing turbos in check out any ford forum as there the same engine as whats in a focus Also take his advice regarding the oil change intervals
  21. First get the battery in the remote checked or just renew it. next get the car battery checked it may have dead cells and not giving out the right voltage. Once youve done that do a search on here on how to do a bsi reset then on how to resync the key as the way youve described it isnt really right you put ignition on hold lock button for 10 seconds release lock button then take the key out and try locking/unlocking the doors and starting the engine
  22. If youve got pwer at the multi plug then as you say its the motor thats goosed. it very rare to repair induvidual part now its easier to just get a replacement unit from the scrapy and put it on. If the scrappys want daft money then let is no as ive got a few of them lying around
