  1. never heard of this before. Anyway id dtart by checking the pollen filter to make sure its sitting in correctly and that the casing isnt broke
  2. By disconecting the battery the imobiliser may hav reset itself and will now be wanting a code
  3. What year is it and could you repost with a bit mor e detail please
  4. Where the pipe goes into the slave cylinder there is a clip. remove the clip but keep the pipe pushed in. than get someone to gently press clutch pedal a few times then hold the pedal down. push the clip back into the slave cylinder and you should have a pedal. We had to do it a couple of times and remember to keep the brake resovoir topped up
  5. how much fuel you got in the tank and/or have you just put fuel in
  6. List the fault on here as you never no someone might have the answer for you
  7. Stay clear of the 1.6 engines they eat the turbos. Yes youl get decent mpg but the engine is just to small and the turbo has to do all the work and if you miss a oil change or use the wrong oil then what oil is in it starts to turn to sludge and is a proper pain to get rid of. Then youve got the fap filter to deal with. In my opinion youd be better going for a 8 valve 2 litre hdi they just run forever in fact in the event of a nucular war the only thing left would be cockroaches and 8 valve hdi engines
  8. Take it straight to the dealers and get a oil change done it will be the best hundred quid youve ever spent. These boxes arnt for the d.i.y and will cost you thoushands if not looked after.its also a special oil that goes in and not the bog standard atf fluid
  9. It will be the stepper motor on the back of the head unit. If you do a search on here under stepper motor youl understand your problem and the fix a lot more
  10. Your welcome and merry christmas
  11. Yes
  12. Be Very careful what your doing with these gearboxes. You should try just changing the oil first and DO NOT use bog standard atf oil. Its a special oil (esso) Youd be better of letting the dealer do it. Weve just had one of our auto c5s done at town center citroen £100 plus the vat but worth every penny. We get oil changed every year and the box has a 140k on it now and its still like a new box with no probs at all
  13. Your post is not making any sense
  14. While this sounds like a worthy project a few concerns of mine would be the following 1 the suspension on a c5 is all hydraulic i dont think your 106 would have enough weight or lenght for the suspension to give a decent ride quality and i think it would proberly be solid. 2 the suspension is controled by part of the ecu so that would need to be looked into. 3 The actual height of the front rams even when lowered wouldnt take the car down to the height your looking for 4 Space in the engine compartment for the spheres and the pump and resevoir But do keep us informed of how your geting on with it as it is intresting
  15. Resync your key by putting it in the ignition barrel then put ignition on and hold the lock button down on the key fob for 10 seconds. then remove key lock the the car with the key fob then try as normal to start the car
  16. Disconect your battery following the bsi reset procedure (do a search on the forum for it(. You wont be able to do the first couple of steps but you should be ok if you follow the rest of them
  17. Can you get it plugged in and check the fuel pressure
  18. No problem at all just his posting is saying the lights are pointing to the ground so they are the adjusters he needs to use to lift the lights up or the back end of the car is sitting to high
  19. The general beleif is that c5 headlights cant be adjusted but they can. Open the bonnet and on the top of the headlight youl see where a alan key goes in for adjustment theres 2 on each headlight 1 for up/down and 1 for laft/right. people get a bit mixed up regarding the adjustment and what you cant do is adjust them from inside the car. Other cars have a switch inside to adjust the headlight when the back end of the car is down c5s dont as the suspension keeps the car level. One other thing to check is to make sure the bulbs arnt in upside down as youl get no beam pattern of the lights. Put your car facing a wall with the lights on if you have what looks like a circle on the wall your bulbs are upside down what you want is a straight line with the outer edge of the line going up at a angle
  20. does the engine seem to turn over fast enough or is it sluggish. Also can you smell petrol when it turning over and not firing. once running is there any engine problems at all e.g misfire poor performance or excesive fuel consunption
  21. Take it to any garage/shop/dealer/halfords and theyl do a antifreeze test for free or a very small charge, If youve none in then if you look at were the 2 water hoses go into the heater matrix (right hand side at the rear of the engine) Youl see the left hose has a bleed cap on it. Just unscrew it the cap along with the radiator cap and let a litre of water out. retighten the top up radiator with a liter of pure antifreez and the jobs done. If youve got any doubt just take it to the dealers and get it done as a frozen engine can run into thoushands to put right
  22. How did they disconect the imobiliser?.
  23. Possibly a ignition barrel fault?. just a daft 1 can you see the all the wires are on the battery leads. thik youl not find out till its pluged in but please post on hear what the fault was
  24. Imobiliser would put the ignition on but wouldnt let the engine turn over. maybe check the ignition barrel also did the aa pull the fuse box out and check the maxi fuses which arnt visable from the top of the fuse box as these will stop the ignition coming on. do you have auxilry power when you move the key 1 click. Have you tested the battery as the weather weve had recently would test a good battery
  25. Hi have you got power to the hazzards and the interior light and the constant 12 supply between the seats
