  1. Nope, only thing I have noticed is when you try and pull away quickly the car accelerates and then the engine revs drop and you lose all power, making it pretty dangerous on roundabouts. This also happened on the 1.6hdi courtesy C4 I had. Again Citroen deny all knowledge, but it is probably beyond them as the answer can't be obtained by plugging it into a computer.
  2. ...About as far as I can throw them.
  3. The reason you have only seen 1 C6 on the road, is because no one is willing to spend loads of money on a Citroen. This will probably also go for the Hot C4's, what's the point when you can buy a VXR/Cupra/Focus ST which won't break down at every opportunity
  4. You can do 40mph in 4" snow in a C4 so long as you don't mind only going in a straight line. People don't seem to realise that 4x4s may well grip better but they also take a lot more to stop them as they weigh so much. ABS is a waste of time in the snow. Another angle... http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c298/alexlomas/Random/CIMG0137.jpg
  5. The view we few hardcore workers saw this morning... http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c298/alexlomas/Random/CIMG0140.jpg
  6. I shouldn't have bothered coming in, only 2 other people did in my office. On route I saw a ford puma wrapped around a speed camera, a woman go into the back of an articulated lorry and the car infront of me plough through someones front wall, as they overbraked for a junction...amateurs Anyhow, time to leave the office for another fun drive. Who needs traction control...thankfully not me as mine didn't come with it
  7. I was mad enough to brave the snow this morning for my 40 mile commute to London. Managed to avoid numerous accidents and had a bit of a play in the empty office carpark. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c298/alexlomas/Random/CIMG0138.jpg
  8. Don't get the invoice so not entirely sure, but did include new discs and pads, wheel balance and wiper blades. Other than that who knows
  9. Save it for servicing, my 50k service came in at £650+VAT
  10. Paid £78 this morning to have the wheels balanced on my VX!
  11. BMW are £115ph +VAT, now that's daylight robbery
  12. I took it out yesterday afternoon as I got fed up with the C3, best of all the fuel goes on expenses
  13. You're lucky if it's only a slight vibration. I have had wheel judder for over a year since my front tyres were replaced by Kwikfit. Since then it has been to 4 other Kwikfits and 3 Citroen dealers, it is only in the last month I have found a Citroen dealer who can get the juddering to a bearable level, albeit nowhere near perfect. I have added this to the list of things which can't be fixed on the car and have lost all faith in Citroen.
  14. I got 2 boxes at the end of 2004 on ebay for £3 each. I still have a box left as I rarely turn the smells on as I find it rather overpowering
  15. I managed 80mph for a short time on the M11 today in my courtesy C3, took about 3 miles to reach this speed and then I encountered a slight uphill gradient where 80 turned to 70
  16. My c4 was collected yesterday by Colliers Citroen in Islington and replaced by a 1.0 C3 which stinks of cigarettes and has a filthy interior. My car is having the injector seals replaced as I can constantly smell diesel in the cabin and have the software upgraded on the service indicator. I called this morning and was told that the car would be delivered back to my office this afternoon.....good news. Until....an hour later, mechanic rings saying that he has broken an injector pipe and therefore will have to replace that tomorrow when the part arrives. So another 40mile trip to the office in a C3, joy. And what are the odds that it still smells of diesel and the service indicator resets when I get the car back
  17. Mine does, it is being collected on Monday for more investigations.
  18. Just had my discs/calipers/pads replaced for the second time, a 1000miles later and they are squeaking again
  19. You'll probably be seeing 30mpg at idle, however when you move it'll be a different story. How come the Ford GT only achieves about 6mpg then? Range Rover 4.6 does about 10mpg, ok it's not that aerodynamic but still.
  20. As a word of warning not all ECUs will take the map and can become corrupted, meaning you will have to buy a new unit at considerable cost. However this is pretty unlikely.
  21. I can confirm that my 54 reg SX hatch does not play MP3 Cds
  22. Surely those fuel figures are a little optimistic. I could just about imagine mid 30s on the motorway as my dad achieved that once in his Griffith 500. Not a hope in hell of getting 29 around town, i'll bet high teens. I used to get about 20mpg from my bmw round town and 30mpg on the motorway. My friend gets 16 round town from his 996.
  23. Upload to the photobucket and then link to the forum. Couldn't be easier.
  24. Rich, what is a "rouges gallery?" :D
  25. The tax on my VX is £190pa
