M Reg Td Speaker Problemsplease Help
wozza replied to cheese's topic in Questions about the Citroen ZX
Just dont add rear seakers spend the money on an amp for the fronts instead rear speakers result in lower SQ anyway. After all you dont go to a concert and sand with your back to the stage. You get a lot more detail from the front use the rears only when you want a little fill but a small sub will do the job and give you some nice bottom end punch as well. Components on a decent amp up front will be more than loud enough and provide you will better SQ. You cant even tell I dont have rear speakers in mine. -
Ohh micra. Last time I had one was the old style 1.0 I had to drive. It was bloody awful. Also drove one of the newer 1.5 diesel ones which wasnt too bad but felt even smaller inside than the older one. As a result i was even less of a fan. When your big tiny cars are not good. My leg was resting on the gearstick so when I changed to 5th it was a bit of a bugger putting foot on clutch and moving my knee out of the way etc. Still liked my Almera though was a good car when we had it.

wozza replied to spinner's topic in I.C.E (In Car Entertainment) Discussion
www.caraudiodirect.co.uk they should have one for you available. -
Welcome to the boards mate. Never heard of the rubber problems before myself but then again I have a coupe and there seems to be more coupe owners here than 5 doors it seems. Glad the forum has been a help to you what were here for.

Arial Adaptor For Citroen Ax?
wozza replied to Le_Petit_Lapin's topic in I.C.E (In Car Entertainment) Discussion
Not sure which is needed but possibly one of the 2 on the link below? http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/category.asp?category=801 -
Maybe there trying to cut prices and earn more via extras with the newer versions due out soon?

There are after market headunits avilable which look almost stanard. But most people changing there headunit want one for improved Sound Quality what I wanted not so arsed about how it looks hence all the loose wires in my boot. But becker makes some units which look like they came with the car. Nakamichi do similar styled units and both of those units are some of the best you can buy.
-
But the standard fit ones are auto leveling, include the washers, and turn with the steering wheel to look around bends something yours cant. £500 is not that much for them to be fair.
-
Mine does it occasionally as well. Not always there though or i just dont notice it much tends to be a lot of things vibrating in my car with the sub anyway.
-
Ohhh shiny! Lookin good i need to clean mine its a right mess at the moment but discovered the apint is peeling on my spoiler so its going back to citroen. Its pealing on the bit I didnt give to the bodyshop so they can sort it for free.
-
They dont have the man power to sort all the paper work. And road pricing is fine if the public transport was good enough to actually use. But on my side of Manchester its crap. The tram is a 40 minute walk away and when its cold and pissing down with rain the last thing you want to do is walk 40 minutes to get on the tram. Buses are hopeless there supposed to be 10 minutes or better. Had to use them the last couple weeks while I have been going out. Shortest time I waited was 40 minutes. Longest was over an hour. Its not good enough if they want us to use public transport make it more reliable instead of whacking all these costs on the motorists.

As Stuey said its the temp guage not the oil gauge. If the oils low it will give you a warning on the central screen. mine did last time it was low anyway.
-
Mines starting to feel nicer as time goes on and seems to have a bit more grunt as well. Currently coming up to 14k.
-
Could just be a loose wired. My old Clio used to show the warning light every so often all I did was wiggle the wire under the passenger seat and it was fine after that.
-
Depends on the model I think. Been in a hyundai coupe and there not bad to be fair. Just dont think much of the engines in them. 2.7 litre developing 170bhp just seems a bit naff.
-
Sounds bad mate. Did the same thing when the guy went into me beeped the horn and he drove straight forward into me. Which is even worse apparently I was in his blind spot....directly in front of his truck. The wing will just need sanding down and respraying. They dont bother replacing them did not with mine anyway cause its all plastic.

Just looked on government thing and says £50/year. When I first did a search something on BBC news came up with prices which said £100 for band B.
-
Sure thats not £50 for 6 months? As it should be £100 in band B for a year. Mines band E and is £150.
-
Well theres pictures of a few peoples cars with spoilers. http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/citroen/i...?showtopic=2906 Theres mine with all the bits I have done to it so far. Picture of moggys car with the spoiler he had his colour coded though. They all come in a metallic black colour out of the box. Its the same black colour as you find on the front windscreen trim at the sides. I also had the colour done on my A and B pillars when i got the side strips colour coded and I think it looks great.

Only thing you need other than a socket set is some torx drivers. Think its a T15 bit you need.
-
Welcome to the boards mate. Car looks good. See if you can get them to fit the spoiler for you and give it you very cheap if not you can still pick them up ready painted and ready to fit by yourself for £130 takes 30 minutes to fit. But the coupe really does need it in my opinion finishes it off so well.

You joking 1.6 turbo would be amazing. remap would get upwards of 200bhp and remember the C4 is a lot lighter than the competitions cars. the 1.6 is nearly 200kg lighter than the 225 megane. With only 15bhp less if you take into account remap depending on what they do with it. Power to weight is going to be so much better. 210bhp in a 1200kg car puts in into the low 6 second to 60 mark depending on gear ratios and traction. Plus exhaust mods and inductions mods on turbos do make differences. Turbos are so easier and cheaper to tune as well. If its got over 200bhp and it has similar weight to the current 1.6 C4 id say add 30kg for extras. Power to weight ratio is getting close to 175bhp per tonne. If it gets a decent 6 speed box i can see it being a bit of a monster with some mods. And since its a BMW engine its likely to be bullet proof too and have lots and lots of mods available for it since its the new engine for the cooper S. Otherwise the C4 is likely to be similar to tune compared to the Clio182. Meaning gains are gonna be expensive. Engine swap no idea due to all the electrical systems in the C4 with the speedo etc i can see it being a bit more fiddly. But the 1.8 engine is fairly cheap to get now. Sure matt black on CS could source you one and give you an idea of what it'd be like to fit.

How much you wanting to spend as I would recommend the Rainbow speakers. Brilliant SQ for the money and plenty loud enough should you want them to be. The sub £100 speakers are possibly the best speakers under £100 money can buy. And the £170 ones are great as well. Its after that the prices start jumping but there one of the best manufacturers around. You also have DLS, RE and infinity. All make very nice speakers most have some more budget type speakers as well which will be much better than the JBL's currently in the car.
-
Without looking at one I have no idea. Does it not use one of the AUX ports?
-
Do not think anyone has. Does the RT3 have any sort of preouts for the sub to connect to though? As that would be a problem since you would need to take the input from a speaker line which means a reduction in quality of the sound.
