Corvette, Can pick up the slightly older model for less than £20k. 350 - 400bhp is more than enough for most people. Still get decent MPG for what they are. And they actually have a decent boot.

The new civic looks like its been driven through a halfords ripspeed section to me. Hate the look of the thing. Also sure a guy on here had one or his wife did that was eventually sent back due to problems and sure mike said his brothers has had issues too. Would not buy a TT though if you want a fun 2 seater car there are far better to be had. Its a posers car. Expensive too. Would rather spend similar amount of money on a proper 2 seater Corvette, VX220, Exige etc. All can be had for similar or lower prices and all would put bigger smiles on your face. Might even be able to stretch to a couple Porsche's at that price. My C4 is nearly 2 years old now. And the only rattles I get are when the sub woofer is thumping a bit too loud. Bare in mind its an aftermarket system and you can feel the bass outside of the car it gives you an idea of how extreme the bass has to be to cause rattles. But any rattle I did have I fixed a few myself no problems. Just put some packing foam in between a couple sections of the trim and they went. Everything else has been fine apart from my seat but I think thats due to when I asked for a squeak to be sorted it was not tightened up properly and came loose.

Seems to be fine now mate. Was logged in automatically when I came back to the site after a few hours. Back to normal. Thanks a lot.

Well it seems 05 model 1.6's are especially prone to early clutch failure. Most are being replaced under warranty as a manufacturers fault though. Think the dealers are aware of the problem.
-
I have the same problem. Even more annoying when it says im logged in as well and then a couple clicks later im not.
-
On a C3 thats probably about right. There only really having trouble supplying C4 Picasso's at the moment.
-
Saying that have heard similar mates new Golf GTI has had no end of problems then again my mates sisters new GT TDI is fine and has been nothing but perfect. I'm looking at buying a 2nd hand VTS180 now. Insurance is pretty good on them now and looking around can pick them up for less than £9k.
-
Robbing gits. Saying that last time my car went in the paintwork came out looking like they had used a Brillo pad on it. So many swirls and small scratches in it now.
-
Good luck with the new job mate.
-
No I have a C4 only driven a C1 on a couple occasions. And talk about whatever you want, You can either talk about the car here. Or post jokes. links to daft sites whatever in the general section doesn't really matter. Just do what you want really. But the forums are good for getting advice if you have problems or thinking of doing something with your car someone else might have done already etc. Unfortunately the C1 section isn't too busy.

Welcome to the board.

Wasn't talking to you mate :P Knew the VTS was like that. But read it somewhere that all the side windows should be laminated...probably Citroen not providing full and proper information again though.
-
Do you have the alarm etc? If so chances are your windows are laminated. An it is the side ones too. From what I read its just a thin sheet over them. Nothing wedged in the middle. On the VTS the rear is tinted but they should all be laminated.
-
Unless you have spec'd the extra security up or have a VTS you will not have laminate side glass. Its an extra on most models but comes standard on the exclusive and VTS.
-
Have to say my 1.6 is nearly silent even when starting up in winter. Same with a few other people when this has come up before. Never found the 1.6 to be noisy at all. Unless I want it to be then it takes a few thousand revs....
-
Guessing you didn't know it was a 3 cylinder engine and most of them sound like that? Had similar feeling with the one I drove why I ended up taking the other car down to wales god knows how it would have coped down there the C4 only just manages a couple of the hills in 1st on the roads I was going on.
-
Not really the right forum for your posts mate the Picasso forum is. If you look further down you will see a Picasso forum which then links to our sister site which is only for the Picasso, Lots more helpful people over there with more knowledge about the Picasso. This is meant for questions about the company. IE warranties they provide etc. Try this link here. http://citroenpicasso.org.uk/picasso/

With the C4's if you got a clutch issue. Get it looked at straight away a few of us have ended up getting cars towed as a result of issues first starting up and then ending up dying completely.
-
Was in a Mercedes E class the other day. Beaming sunlight hit the windscreen autowipers went on. Just made me smile thinking least my £13k Citroen doesn't do that.
-
Alright I passed a guy who must have been in his 70's huddled over the wheel god knows how he could see out above the rev counter but he was slowly going along the M62 in a coupe.
-
The 2nd ones are direct replacements and the top ones are as well as you have factory fit tweeters in your A pillars. So you would still need to disconnect them or you will find they will distort the sound quite a lot.
-
Nice one mate whens the spoiler getting put on then? lol.
-
Usually oil, plugs, filters and fluids. Check of brakes and tyres on a 1st service.
-
The saxo 106 gti engine is a good one to go for. Seen a couple with them. Not sure about the R5 GTT lump but if your not gonna look after them properly they do break especially if you start messing with the boost. Expensive to tune an R5 Turbo lump properly. Something to consider is that whatever engine you put into the car your car will then move to that insurance group. Thats how they usually do it anyway and remember to change the V5 etc to reflect it or the car can be classes as illegal :/

Somewhat cheap ones then keeping it to the £100 mark. http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/jbl-gto650...d247bcd9b3cff6c http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/jbl-gto653...d247bcd9b3cff6c The component system for the front and the coaxial one for the rear.
