Welcome to the forum mate, Lot of your problems are known and have dealer fixes. Brakes you will need new calipers and pads. Had mine done around 8000 miles ago and not squeaked since. Which is around 8 months of use. Rattling of windows might need to have some new rubbers or something fitted. Door handles not returning is a known issue with a dealer fix but some wd40 sprayed on will fix it as well. Air con unit should be replaced by Citroen if its broke but if it is blowing cooler air form one side then its a small gear that needs replacing if i remember correctly. Someone else will be able to tell you more from those that have had it sorted on there own cars.

Its a sealed induction kit to replace the stock air filter. Means you dont need to have the paper filter replaced every service so they cant charge you for it. And it has the ability to increase power by a small amount bit more with a map tailored to it. Best off asking them if its worthwhile you doing though there usually pretty honest. Not always a point in putting one on it depends on the engine.

I need to take mine down possibly today as my seat is now broken. I had them get rid of a rattle a few weeks ago on the seat but it looks like one of the bolts was not put on right and has come away from somewhere as the front corner of the seat now lifts up. This is rather annoying when taking off at the lights as the force causes me to go somewhat backwards the seat lifts and tilts further backwards. Having to take off very very slowly. Had a look can see where its come away from but theres no bolt or anything there and i cant get to it without taking the seat out. So gonna let Citroen do it.

Just get it done mate if you want it done. If you dont like it you can get a refund and the map taken off.

Well I am using both. I still like this board. But the other one is able to offer discounts etc something we could not do on here.
-
Thats the reason I waited for a while to buy mine cause kept hearing about them dying plus I didn't want to pay full whack was quite happy getting one of the deals after a year. But accepted your request.

this is just a resistor that tricks your car into thinking its got different air fuel ratio as a result it causes your car to run rich. Damaging the engine.
-
Still a bit quicker the mi16 lump was heavy. And really its just a similar car but more modern not many cars have gotten much quicker recently only so much you can do with fwd cars before they get horrible to drive. What we need is a 4wd C4.

Anyone got a 360 and on xbox live? Got one recently and been playing test drive unlimited and PGR3 a fair bit was wondering if anyone had one and if so add me or something. Gamertag is "wozzaa"

Wait till the special versions start coming out and the power starts going up. Simple remap would see that going a fair bit higher. Think I prefer the supercharger though myself. I love the whine of a supercharger.

It was announced a while ago on a news site the VTS would be getting a 1.6 turbo. Which sounds like a small engine but when you think the C4 in a 1.6 is only 1200kg its a fairly light car actually lighter than the new Renaultsport Clio 197. VTS badge will stay ts been on citroens for years now not likely to change it. Not entirely sure when it will be getting the engine im guessing when the facelift appears also heard a rumour they may be sticking the engine in the C2 which could be massive fun.

Well he possibly thought you were asking about 1 of the 2.0 petrols. Its on the price list as having a 35bhp increase for the 2.0HDI. You did tell him it was an HDI diesel right? And a 1.6 turbo will hit 200bhp without much problems with more torque than the current 2.0 and less weight. Which would put it around 6 seconds to 60 compared to the 8 seconds or so it does currently. Theres already kits for the 1.6 engines now to take them to 200bhp but you end up killing gearboxes. But i think the engine is coming out with 170bhp to start with but with lighter car and more torque will be quicker than the current 2.0. But a remap later and you would probably gain another 30bhp or so from it as well as other small mods exhaust etc which would gain decent power. Turbo engines are much easier to get extra power from.

Thought i would post this up here as well for a direct link to the discounts. http://www.c4owners.co.uk/page.php?10

The diesel with 170 or so is in the C5 its a twin turbo engine. All the C4 diesels are turbo's and the petrols are all N/A....At the moment. There is a 1.6 turbo petrol engine coming to the line up soon.
-
did you say it was the diesel VTS? As yours is the turbo diesel. which gets 35+bhp The petrol would get 15bhp ish. Like my 1.6 would.

Lexus lights....just say no!

Premier membership is now final and working. Fee has been increased to £10 to cover costs incurred nothing going into anyones pocket for that you get a 20% reduction on remaps at angel tuning. If you get a few more in the area to come possibility of a 40% discount to members. Even if you get it on your own though the £10 fee gets you £45 off a £275 remap and most are more than that anyway. You can also get VTS spoilers etc at a big reduction £110 + P&P for those that want it instead of the usual £180+. Most official Citroen parts were gonna be able to get discounted. So as i said the £10 fee will pay for its self. You also get few other bits and pices sent to you in the post for the fee such as window stickers and the like.

email and ask they do petrol 1.4's and 1.6's.
-
Did they give you the money back for the inspection fee? If not tell them you want it back as well. Seems there is a few of us with citroens at moment with clutches going. Few C4 owners who have had similar problems lot of us have had to have clutches replaced. All funnily enough 05 models.
-
Very unlikely. They have to have some adjustment as some software updates alter small bits on them occasionally and with lower quality fuels etc it has to be adjusted.

ford gt has a roots type supercharger so basically its always on boost as a result. Where as centrifugal chargers take a little longer to come on full boost but will give more top end grunt rather than low end grunt. Also the gt has a larger engine a 5.4 also revs more. Mustang also has VVT and all that crap to help bring fuel economy down. Also gearing on the gt is lower etc. Theres loads of differences between them the 5.4 in the gt is a new engine really its based on the 5.4 iron block from the f150 but turned into an alloy block and had a few adjustments. Mainly its the blower that causes the extra drag on fuel economy though. And the range rover weighs a bloody tonne. Breaking in period will be in mid high teens on a combined cycle on both cars. After a few thousand miles and a tune etc should be able to make it above 30mpg on a combined cycle which is roughly what i get in my C4. Which was reading 22.3mpg yesterday after a lot o time stuck in traffic. But did a 150 mile trip and up to 29.7mpg now.

Its stopping the dog from pissing everywhere thats the hard bit and she likes to try and chew everything and dig up the carpets. So im having to watch her constantly shes a little sod. And if she sits next to you and you dont give her some attention she will just bite your hand or something. Climb all over you and she has a thing for ripping my hair out. I was lying down on the sofa and she just started biting my hair and pulling on it. Shes a little sod. Yesterday she was quite and did nothing today though shes pulling table clothes off tables biting anything and everything. needs a smack.

Its actually about 170ish but then again so is the VTS180 its actually 177bhp. But the torque gains would be huge. Id say wait a while and check on the other forum c4owner is in the proces of getting all the artwork from angeltuning to add to the site once thats done and the membership stuff is finalized i will let you know and let you know of discounts. Or you can just keep checking the other forum. To get the discounts though you will have to join the other site which is like £5 but you should receive a bigger amount than that on a discount so it pays for its self. Also get window stickers and a card sent with membership info for discounts as well. Were looking to get a few other companies to offer discounts but he has told me theres a fair bit of paperwork to do at the moment. Were also sorting the FCS2007 stuff out right now so we can get a C4 stand. What they do depends on the ECU fitted to your car the 2.0's some of them can be a bit of a bugger to remap with the differing ecu's. They can still be done might just require a bit more time. All they do is plug a laptop into the diagnostic port under the ashtray and load up the software and alter the engine map. You go for a test drive to see how its doing but keep in mind it will get better after a few drives due to the ecu adjusting its self a little more after the map. Nothing to lose really as if you see no improvement then they will refund your money and put the original stock map back on the engine.

When i get some spare time i will sort it but it's been a busy couple days.
