  1. Not sure about DS specific but this forum is a general citroen forum the picasso only one is another forum. Althoguh this is probably mainly the berlingo c4 and c3 forums more than anything currently. Not so sure where to go for some help on getting the ds back to normal though to be honest. Just have to use google and see what you can find. Found this site on restoring them. http://www.citroen-restoration.co.uk/ds/index.php
  2. Yup just the wiring as the C4 does not use a standard ISO connection it uses a BMW type connection. So you need a BMW to ISO converter there in order to plug in an aftermarket unit but then there not perfect either and need some modifcation. The standard unit is pretty much din sized so aftermarket units fit in perfectly. http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/dash.JPG How mine looks.
  3. Can do that or you can buy one from ebay or if you have a multimetre and know what your doing get a BMW / ISO converter and just swap a couple wires around. Probably just easier to go to the dealer and ask them to give you the cable you require though.
  4. Angel tunings main office is based in yorkshire. Funny they said send it to scotland. And with a name like Celtic tuning I would have thought you know scottish / irish location. On angeltunings website they list the 2.0 HDI as a mobile remap but the 2.0i petrol as a lab remap.
  5. I've got upgraded front components, 2 amps new headunit and a big sub etc in my C4 citroen themselves offer an adaptor to put an aftermarket headunit in the car so no it should not affect anything with the warranty not had any problems with mine and as i said mines not exactly a small system.
  6. Did you not go have a look to see which you have? Should actually say somewhere on it or there will be differences between them physically so you should be able to tell. I know they remap my engine and gave me a figure of £280 to come to manchester and do it for me on my drive but mines the 1.6 petrol engine. Which would only take it to around 125bhp and sub 10's 0-60 Then again accordng to a lot of people the 1.6 TU engines usually make more power than is stated anyway.
  7. No mate, Tyre sizes mean the rolling radius is pretty much identical. Lower profile on the 16 than on the 15 thus much higher sidewall you can get 19's on there with only a marginal different in rolling radius but it would not be a comfortable ride.
  8. And you guys know you shoudl always put new tyres on the rear of the car as well right? Should never replace the front 2 tyres with brand new ones and leave the crappy old ones on the rear.
  9. Petrols dont remap the same as a diesel because your diesel engine has that nice little turbo bolted to it. Something we dont have well not until next year when the new turbo petrol engines get dropped in the C4 lineup. And angeltuning wanted you to send them the ECU? Ok thats odd normally they come to you and load 1 map on it then adjust it a bit while your on the road testing it. They can not do a remap if you send them an ecu they are just loading a different map on to the ecu.
  10. Whole new mirror and will need to be hooked up somewhere as it needs an electric feed. Not sure if the autowiper sensor is built into it as well as its near that part of the screen.
  11. Had a friend who was a traffic cop he said they didnt really do anything until they get to the 90ish mark. AS 80 - 85mph just isnt thatt fast and the vast majority of cars generally tend to go along at that speed anyway. He said they would not pull someone for that because there will always be someone that comes screaming past them over the 100 mark which is worth pulling compared to a few people doing 80 - 85. Think the biggest scare i ever got was doing 90 in the outside lane and then i heard the sirens looked behind me literally right on my arse was this cop car thought i was getting pulled i moved over and he just shot off. The only thign that pisses me off on the motorway is people that hog the middle lane if im in the left lane and there just cruising in the middle lane at 55 it really winds me up when the left lane is clear i usually flash my lights at them go past but really does annoy me. Anyone seen that thing the police were gonna do though pace drivers in the fast lane? So basically breakign the highway code by having someone stick to 70 in the fastlane. Just gonna be even more unsafe with everyone undertaking etc it wont stop speeders it'll just make them more pissed off.
  12. If its a new car for the first few services id go with the dealer but on an older car do it yourself least then you know for a fact whats been put into the car so you might not get a stamp in a book big deal most people who look at cars arent that fussed generally i know im not when im buying a 2nd hand fairly old car. Plus when you buy from enthuisiasts you can bet they only put the best things into the car. And did it a bit more often than what the manual recommended.
  13. If your really that worried wrap mp3 player in clingfilm then wrap the resin in tinfoil best of both worlds lol.
  14. There the green light on 1 side of the mirror and then theres the sensor for the dimming on the other side. Good way to check if it is workign properly is turn the interior light on if its working you will barely be able to see yourself in the reflection. If its fairly light outside though dont think it will dim that much.
  15. If you want to speed take the car on a track day its far more fun anyways just have to do a few mods before you do it to get the best from it such as sorting the standard brakes out new fast road pads and some better fluid etc would help that way you can get the feel for the car at speed with minimal danger to everyone including yourself and have much more fun doing it goign fast in a straight line is boring. Why when i went to the FCS i took a more scenic route was so much more fun going through all the nice country roads.
  16. dont think anyone has had there hdi remapped here yet i know few of us are thinking about getting our petrol ones done and think its sammy whos getting the 2.0 hdi remapped if i remember correctly. And with just a remap i highly doubt his bmw will be hitting 300bhp. Will have needed mre mods than that to get 70bhp increase even on a diesel. Hes looking around 280bhp with a remap little more with exhaust and the mapped designed for it.
  17. C4 speedo is very accurate its either perfect or 1mph out but it can then be perfect a few second later without you changing speed. My old clio used to read over a fair bit had 115 on the dials on my clio with gps reading 103. C4 has had gps and the actual clocks within 1mph at over 120mph. So Yes its rather accurate. Generaly rule for cameras is 10% +2 MPH. If you do get a ticket though www.pepipoo.com is the best site to go to for help with it. Most people wont do you until you getting to the 90mph mark though its a waste of there time to pull someone over if there doing 75 - 80 as speedo's over and under read so they have to make sure there getting people who are actually speeding. And to be honest not many motorways have gatso's on them anyways. And you can look up where they all are on the internet including where mobile sites are. I tend to cruise between 60 - 90 on the motorway. Just depends though dont worry about going over the speedlimit a bit on the motorway though if your only over a few mph it will not matter its more trouble for the police to pull you and they incure more charges and it would only be the fine and 3 points anyways unless your doing over 100mph they can not take your license away on the motorway and they have to provide evidence that you were above the speedlimit. Then theres certain loopholes that benefit the motorist. Like double yellow lines if they do not have a finishing line at the end you can park on them you get a ticket you take a picture of the end of the line take it into the police station they have to cancel the ticket. Laws work both ways if they dont stick to them by the letter we are within our right to refuse to pay up and we can treat it as we want. In some cases due to road signs changing and them not having properly set out signs the speedlimits of that road are them overriden as such and in a 40 zone they still cant do you if your doing 80. As long as you know what the laws are for what signs etc you can in a way chose certain ones to ignore and break as a result since the police broke them by placing inaccurate signs etc. But with driving common sense is more important than anything else study's have proven the safest drivers on the roads are actually generally those that drive slightly above the limits.

    C4 Cd Mp3

Tell me about it I couldnt sleep last night think i have managed to badly bruise my ribs or something. Plus the fact my knees are screwed up this morning and everything hurts. But hey gotta love playing rugby when im fit enough to do it.
  19. In the C4 they are all 5 disk changers it might be 6 disk in 1 of the other cars but in the C4 you only get a 5 disk cd changer in the armwrest. Incar computer
  20. Nice 7" or so widescreen display which is used to display everything rather than the little lcd we have. Integrated phone and a few other bits and pieces. Admittedly not cheap but it does look rather nice and probably would not be too difficult to hook up something else to the monitor up front.

    C4 Cd Mp3

Think its actually a different radio altogether as the JBL one needs ot be able to take an amplifier has bi tuner double antenna etc.

    C4 Cd Mp3

Depends if you have the JBL upgrade or not the standard system does not play mp3's though. So you can either get the 9706ag wire and plug in a standalone portable mp3 player or get an aftermarket headunit bout the only 2 options I can think of.
  23. KFK is a dealer tech as well so we generally trust what he says. I know I do. Which is why I asked him first before to get some info on warranty if I got and sound deaden my entire car. Might have occasional arguments with him about silly things but I do trust whatever he says generally plus the fact i honestly wish the tech in my local dealer were as good as him if they were i probably would not have as much problems. Where as mine seem to con me and fob me off with crappy excuses. But hey if people do attempt this modification can you please do Picturres as your doing it so i can compile a little guide to it I have done a guide on how to install an AMP i want a guide on the 9706AG installation next and I may do the VTS spoiler guide in the future as well. Sure they will benefit a good few people rather than spending a small fortune to have citroen fit it.
  24. The way it drives will change as the miles pile on deppending on the mileage and how its been broken in if its been ragged from new they do normally drive better.
  25. Dont think im gonna get my strips colour coded now for one its extra money and i really dont have much now after getting a few lovely letters today that £50 extra is needed now. And the next mod i do to the car will be the sound deadening.
