  1. I park in the end bays as tight as I can away from the adjacent space. I tell her to get out before hand...that way you halve the chance of the car gettibg scratched... damaged... breathed on..... :) However one thing we have both noticed is that the car is a magnet for 4x4 parking next to it. We tend to park it on its own in spaces and walk that extra distance and you can bet your bottom dollar that when you get back you have some Disco or Amazon R-I-G-H-T next to it, even though there are litterally hundreds of other spaces around and the car was parked on its own...
  2. I thought I had seen a Matt product somewhere cheers... I think I might try the floor wipes on the lower half of the door card. As I said before they get grubby where I squeexze into get into the car in the garage. Safety Engineer can you recommend a particular product that compliments the Citroen Air Fresheners? I'd hate for them all to clash ;) :)
  3. I think you'd have to have full blown QWERTY keyboard so message can be made to suit.
  4. Do they use the tap over weights or the stick on ones? Just wondering how a tyre becomes unbalenced other than the weights comming off...or unless you have flat spots on your tyres? :)
  5. I think this actually sounds worse than it is, as I have numerous discussions with the other half about the need not too swing the boot and to just let it drop. After much falling out she now drops the boot and it still sounds just as bad as taking a full swing at it...of course I havnt told her that
  6. I suspect cleaning it could be fun too... After spending an hour claening it to get in and see all the smeary bits! Still you'd use half as much polish as those with the standard roof!...i hate waxing the roof
  7. I suspect the 495 quid of 500 is the cost of the glass the other 5 is for the Man with the mastic gun to hold it in place  I bet that glass aint cheap.
  8. What mods are undertaken to the standard Coupe shell to fit the roof? Obviously a big hole is cut but would imagine roll over protection and structural regidity would have to be added...Is there much of a weight gain/loss?
  9. Dont tell SWMBO but I tend to put her CD's in the pocket in the boot... Dont think I want anyone thinking I like Wham, Style Council.......
  10. Anyone know of a good dash cleaning product that doesnt leave that awful high gloss, shiny finish for use on the dash? The stuff I've been using although leaving a nice matt surface tends to be excellent at attracting dust...
  11. Closed :)
  12. It was a re-iteration of an important point, that was all. Some people think tyres look after themselves and thus people obviously think they need zero maintainance, hence the following post. Cut some slack = take a chill pill = relax = calm down :) Again all I'll say... I'm not picking on anyone, I'm not showing off trying to out do peoples knowledge or play silly games and certainly not a bully. :) :D
  13. Ham - cut some slack... :) You have misunderstood the message I have put across...thats all. I am not intentionally having a dig at you or anyone on here. Besides which if I would its not exactly a nice thing to do. If I disagree with something you have said, I am quite entitled to put across my point of view as much as I would expect you to if you disagreed with me. However if you decide to take offence to me questioning your point view that is for you to deal with. Not one of any of my posts are intentionally trying to wind people up nor would I intentionally try to correct people, half the time I don’t know the answer, however I am willing to help/contribute to the forum where i can. This isn’t a forum for playing the “I know more than you game” ,the only games I play is Rugby and attempt to play snooker. I enjoy contributing to the forum, not playing silly games. As for changing the oil that is exactly what I was saying, by changing oil at 4000miles it isn’t green. I am not picking on you, I’m sorry if that’s how you see my contribution to the forums. If you still think I'm a to**er then all I can say is choose not to read my contributions.... :)
  14. I know the shame of me.... Please ban all my postings for next 24hours!...I'm off to go sit in the corner with my hands on my head and to complete my 100 lines. :) "I must not encourage dangerous driving in the event that by suggesting a ridiculous manoeuvre as the one posted, someone may think it is sensible idea and adopt it for their own personal driving experience. In future do not make sarcastic comments" If I told you the last time I overtook someone was in the summer you'd probably never believe me. :)
  15. Errrr not that I was aware of? I'm not diggin at anyone... :) I was just continuing on from what had been said in the previous post.... We can take it to the tip, however its not very big and gets absolutly rammed and turns into a battle ground. The nearest one to that is 9 miles and dont fancy travel too far with all that oil rolling around. We have an option to leave it for collection. However the last time I arrainged for something to be collected (laser printer) I came home and it had been smashed and was lying in the middle of the road.
  16. I guess it depends what types of music you listen too. Music set ups are very dependant on individuality. So what sounds are we all listening too at the moment? Afterall we all know we like C4's thats why we are here, but music tells alot about your personality. So whats spinning in yours? ...in the VTS at the mo... The Knife - Silent Shout The Knife - Knife Aphex Twin - Drukqs Luke Vibert - Big Soup DJ Shaddow - The Outsider...
  17. I think I've had my wrists slapped....*Hangs head in shame* :)
  18. Nor very green! In the greener society we are all required to live in, my local council will have an eppy if I left out engine oil for them to take away every 4000miles, either that or come home to find 5 litres of oil stroon across the road (more likely).
  19. Thats the general speed in Bristol anyway hence why everyone is out for themselves making their own rules of the road. Thanks for the safety advice I'll make sure I read it and ensure I never undertake this irresponsible action.
  20. You can make the assumption they arnt but that is because they have an interest in their car and contribute to the forum.
  21. Welcome to the forum Baggies... Mine was 11months old when i picked mine up and have no untorward problems other than what has been mentioned elsewhere on the forum. I hunted the Citroen Website for the model I wanted and went marching in to the dealer. Managed to negotiate a good deal and walked away a happy man. If you are looking for a vehicle fitted with the full length sun roof they are pretty scarce but not rare as hens teeth. They are out there but need to be found. Also HID I believe is only fitted as standard to VTS/Exclusive Models. You can buy HID kits which have been discussed on the forum. I cant comment on the EGS as I have never driven one. Welcome to the forum.
  22. Dissagree  I bet you walk into any supermarket carpark and walk round and will see a number of cars which could earn the owner 6 points if not 12. Is it stupidity, nievity, negligence, laziness or dont understand or care?? You have to remember there are people who are out there driving their cars round and round and round in a tidy car fully insured and MOT'd but have low pressure in the tyre go on the motorway have a blow out either end up in a ditch or hit someone else and winge and moan about how the tyre blew out...if they can. At no point did they think it was obvious to check the pressure in the tyre regulary, or thought about the empty washer bottle...etc. Scary thought but true. Have been there, seen it happen and had to deal with the clear up.
  23. Is it?  Some people drive round with the carcas hanging out of a tyre with the steel belt tapping as it goes round. Thats "obviously" not right but the driver thinks it is ok.
  24. Oil of the same API/ACEA/SAE spec. Read your book for details.
  25. Almost as bad as when my parents took their 206 in for a service at the dealers. It went in with the factory fitted multichanger, came out with a duff Sony one loosly pushed into the mountings in the boot and obviously not connected. Dealer couldnt explain what had happened, but as a "measure of good will" they would replace it for the one that was in there. They probably didnt have any sidecutters or wire cutters to hand wozza so they "carefully" ripped it out, Perhaps they were canbalisiing your car to complete another job?!
