You could spend more time on the forum, with all your experience there are lots of members needing your help.

I am guessing you will need the fault code reading and then deleting so the light will go off. So it does look as if the high temp sensor (blue) that you have changed was faulty. Where are you located since there are some members who will help with diagnostics/code reading. There is a pinned post on the C5 section. http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/20345-diagnostic-help/

Thanks for the feedback, maybe the battery was already on its way out and it was a coincidence it failed when it did. You have not said how old the car is but I have found batteries seem to do about 7 years and fail quickly. If you had time to do some more checks you would have measured the battery voltage and not had to call out the auto electrician. At least with the new battery it should last a few years.

Welcome to the forum. Have you tried replacing the fuel filter although it is probably not this ?

Welcome to the forum. What code reader are you using since 2004 was the year diesels had to be OEBD compliant so your car may be borderline and you have not mentioned any problems from the gearbox. From the list of codes on the Petrol Diesel and LPG section gives P1352 Ignition Coil A Primary Circuit Malfunction - which would apply to a petrol engine or possibly it is a glow plug problem. An internet search gives for U0103 Lost Communication With Gear Shift Module However. if the U was a P gives P0103 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit High Input. It may be worthwhile trying a different code reader or a dealer type Lexia. I have moved your post in to a subsection since ones outside of one do not show after a few days and are difficult to find.

C5 2.2Hdi Knocking Front O/s Suspension On Hard Turn & Bump!
paul.h replied to grimble's topic in Problems and Fixes - C5
Knocking is probably a drop link. You may be able to detect wear in a joint with a lever, possibly with the car jacked up (raise suspension first as usual before jacking). I had one go on a C3 and once I disconnected it the joint was very loose - so as a check before buying a replacement just disconnect one end and see the joint wear. Our C5 was dropping a bit at the rear and there was a slight leak of suspension fluid from a strut gaiter at the back. In the end the strut was replaced and the sinking ended. I had it replaced by the dealer for the MOT last year, £244 inc 1 hour labour - strut £143, seal £3, R pin £1, LDS £13. Has the tyre uneven wear occurred whilst you have had the car so you know the history of the tyres (not moved from the front) ? If you look from behind the car are the wheels leaning in slightly at the top suggesting wear in the suspension arm bearings ? -
Welcome to the forum. Your symptoms sound like a flat battery (or maybe an undersized one). 12.7 volts is charged and 12.3 volts is flat - is this measured across the battery terminals ? The suspension pump (the wurring noise) will not run if the suspension is at the correct height or if the battery is flat. Clicking on the starter motor of the solenoid without the starter turning again sounds like a flat battery or a faulty starter or wiring connection to it from the battery. You should also check the battery to body earth connection and the wiring and connections on the battery and the engine earth connection and wire. When the engine runs the battery voltage should be about 14.3 volts from the alternator. When you disconnect and reconnect the battery follow the procedure in the C5 Technical Section pinned Common Problems post to avoid odd electrical problems (if not already being done).

This is the wording from the Citroen service box manual:- Calibrated seal ( make "MANULLI").CAUTION : Respect the direction of fitting the seals (where illustrated).N.B. : Before fitting the seal, thoroughly lubricate the male and female contact faces as well as the seal itself with air conditioning compressor oil (SP10 oil). The connection retaining bolts are 6 Nm torque.

If you only have one fog light the rear lights will need to be changed and the wiring will not be right so would need to be changed. Your dealer may be able to get ones for left hand drive if they are diferent.

Welcome to the forum. Possibly a fuse has failed. Check the ones in the engine fuse box including the maxi fuses which are located under the top layer. If these are ok also check the ones in the dash fuse box.

Looks as if you are becoming the forum expert on turbos and again lucky in that its failure has not caused engine damage. The twin throttle body thingy, is that what they call the air doser valve which directs air to the intercooler ? Have you lost the refrigerant from the air con, there is a known leak point where a pipe connects to the condensor and it is advised to put grease on it to prevent corrosion (from iannez). If there is still refrigerant in it, ideally (legally) this should be removed by an air con company/dealer and not vented to the atmosphere - but with the car in bits this may not be practical. It will have to go somewhere anyway to dry/pressure test and then refill with refrigerant and oil if that has also been lost. When I had a C5 refilled a few years ago the Citroen dealer was about £50.

A look at the exchange rate gives about £340 so in the end it did cost about what you were originally told. Thankyou for getting back to us.

Which scrap yard did you use ?

The following is for the 2.0 hdi standard operations (oil change, etc) with specific ones depending on what it is:- The mark 3 seems to depend on the year. Recent Citroens are now every year, older ones 2 years or 20k miles normal and 1 year or 12500 miles arduous. In my maintenance/warranty guide for a 2007 mark 2 C5 has 20k miles or 2 years normal and 12k miles or 1 year arduous - I do not know where your 25k/20k miles is from.

Welcome to the forum. I do not know the year of your car but this is from the handbook for a 2010 mark 1 C4 in the section on mirrors and possibly you need to leave the mirror selection switch in the middle position:- System which provides a view of the ground during parking manoeuvres in reverse gear. Programming With the engine running, engage reverse gear. Select and adjust the left-hand and right-hand mirrors in succession. The adjustment is stored immediately.

There is another current topic on moving a 2010 C4 car from the UK to elsewhere in Europe about changing from mph to kph. http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/21146-miles-to-kilometer-change/?do=findComment&comment=76725 Flat beam lights are probably ones that do not kick up at one side to light the side of the road.
-
From the handbooks for a 2010 C4 mark 1 and also mark 2, if you use the radio menu and personalisation - configuration, display configuration, choice of units, then you may be able to change to kilometres. If not then a visit to a dealer should do it using their diagnostic equipment. There is a current topic of a C4 car moving from Germany to the UK and asking what changes are needed - the 2 mentioned are headlight beam adjusters (from MOT manual masks are ok) and the rear foglight (from MOT manual has to be in the middle or the offside - so the rear lights need changing if only 1 foglight).http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/21144-making-a-left-hand-drive-c4-picasso-uk-road-legal/?do=findComment&comment=76714

The MOT test guide is available on-line http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/htdocs/index.htm It gives for the rear fog light it has to be in the centre or off-side. On head lamp aim 1.8 it says masks can be used on cars for right hand drive provided they are securely attached.

There is a picture in the Haynes manual which shows the clip as a U shape with extra bends. The 2 ends go into hooks and the top then moves a bit sideways to locate on a hook. A mirror and torch will help. The raised parts of the sides of the U push against the back of the bulb. To remove the light the bumper has to be removed then 3 bolts (1 on top, 2 at the lower corners) holding the light undone, the light manoeuvred from position and the wiring plug disconnected. To remove the bumper, undo the undershield torx bolts, 2 screws in each wheel arch, 3 torx bolts at the top of the bumper behind the bonnet catch. Then pull the bumper slightly forward, release the clips below the headlights, then pull the bumper forward and off. If you need a Haynes manual, WMP on the Manchester Road / Kingsway junction sells them at a reduced price.

Welcome to the forum. I would check with the dealer but I think you will find the car will not run at all until the bsi is programmed. You will need to tow the car or transport it. If you are in such as the RAC they will do it, if not they will but there will be a charge. The dealer may also do car recovery. I have moved your post into a subforum since ones outside do not show after a few days and are then difficult to find.
-
If you put a blanket on the rear of the roof it will help prevent scratching the paintwork when the spoiler is rested on it. You may find the high level light glows slightly until the bsi shuts down - there is a fix for this, soldering a resistor across the light +/- connection but I could not be bothered since the gap to do this is rather tight.

Thankyou for the feedback. Did you manage to get a torque wrench to do 380 Nm, only asking since I need to do the rear brakes on a C3 and the hub nut is 300 Nm which is above the range of my torque wrench ?

If they do it wont be at a local DVLA office, arent they all supposed to be closing as part of the cut backs.
