  1. http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=h...nGB296%26sa%3DG that link explains how the system works P0002 = fuel volume regulator control - circuit range/performance probable causes are wiring, regulator control solenoid, since its intermittent that would point to wiring in my book and the first place to start so look for wiring that's rubbing against something and causing a short also check the fuses as I recall someone having a similar issue and it was a loose fuse
  2. its a intermittent fault which means the component isn't bad what was the fault code
  3. give it a service, new glow plugs - fuel filter - oil/filter - air filter, the white smoke is a build up of unburned fuel because its taking time to start up and another thing to check is air in the fuel system this on its own makes it hard to start try priming it before you start it that indicates air in the system
  4. there is a bleed screw on the front of the regulator, raise the car to full height then lowest then turn the bleed screw a couple of threads you should hear the are coming out and repeat a few times ( ensure the rear end goes all the way down every time ) I normally sit on the boot lip till its all the way down and it took several times and did it a few days later to ensure all the air was out
  5. http://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr53/techbod/8420c50a.jpg http://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr53/techbod/8420c75a.jpg one electric fold type other standard
  6. not sure if its the same setup as xsara 2.0 hdi to test it, it has a 6 pin connector disconnect it and probe the pin-outs cable side with a multimeter, 2 and earth ignition on engine off should read 11 - 12 volts, component connected engine idling , probe 5 & 6 reading should be 2 volts, 5 & 6 engine idling - accelerate briefly voltage should be 4.4 you can spray the MAF element with carb/break cleaner but do not touch it the pressure of the spry is enough to clear and dirt/dust build up
  7. I like the old automatics myself things are getting too complicated lately and too much electronic gadgets that give a hard time when they don't work, nice car though
  8. the depth of the heart it what you can get away with :) water in the tyres  ill lend you my glasses
  9. bloody tiptronic crap but thats life
  10. its all the electronics today to blame for that but it depends on which one you go for and has it all the bells and whistles, the basic was disappointing but still looks good but you cant beat the bigger engine with all the toys, I wish I went for the C6 though but that will have to wait
  11. well a little advice then ( when you get a bloke assuming your female of course ) always check the depth of his heart before you commit to anything  same as buying a car they can be expensive when you don't  and vic-verca of course :)
  12. that's good its always better to familiarise your self with any new car
  13. http://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr53/techbod/Best_Sub_1.jpg hopfully this will help
  14. it will be the end as one side is locked in and the other will have a plastic clip holding it there ive been trying to get a picture of it for you but it seems to be hard to find
  15. the arm should only clip in at one end could it be frozen due to the bad weather?
  16. a cheap fix? only thing I can think of is to disconnect the switch on the stalk so no power goes to the head lights
  17. I would jack that side off the ground and check for excess play on the wheel and check for wear on the tyre as if it could be catching the inner side of the wheel arch and tyre pressure
  18. the sound is like a turbo shutting down when the engine is switched off and that's normal because the AC is still on even when you switch it off, try running the engine and check the driver side fan shuts off when you switch the AC off ( mine stayed on regardless ) and needed resetting
  19. is the AC fan still active even when you switch it off? mine was and I had to reset it with the diagnostic tool, the AC control unit has to be told/set to know when its on or off I know it sounds daft but its true and I don't know if you can reset it any other way so perhaps others might know
  20. I like the older records probably because im older lol this new stuff is head banging and I cant understand it, I suppose I need to get out more ;)
  21. doubtful as all cars come with extra things at a cost, any way why do you need that as its always cold in the UK ;) we dont want aircon we need central heating ;)
  22. I know its a bit late to answer but a recall regardless of where you live is a law and has to be abided by any dealer
  23. elo is my favourite group apart from Abba but this livened me up http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=eO94Wbz-A3k&...feature=related
  24. ps: just though id mention a bloody woman driver reversed into my new car and its in the garage for a new door, not all women drivers are bad just most of them j/k ;) ( a car is just a hunk of metal and can be replaced " a life cant ;) ).
  25. well good thing is if its insured you wont need to fix it anymore ( think positive ) ;) and spend the rest of the cash on a good night out ;)
