just though id add to that ( have new bolts/clamps ready and heat gun to remove the broken studs if your unlucky ) it always happens to me ;)
-
you have problems ;) you want this problem with the Lexus ;) the dimmer switch can be over ridden but it means its always on ( personally no problem with that my self as I don't drive at night ) but the dimmer switch is controlled by a power regulator like the fuel level needle so you only need a power in and out and the rest can be deleted and that will make the dash lights stay on all the time
-
yes I know what your saying but your missing one point and that's the thermostat so if you had too much antifreeze in it potentially wont operate as it should and that's when you get false problems, all im saying is don't over mix like many do as when its winter they don't flush the system and put new in they tend to keep adding to it
-
the link rods will be lower down then the gaiter area I would be looking at the selector area or you have a transmission fault
-
a pressure test or a dye test will show where the problem is but a little advise on antifreeze is don't over mix it as if cause a phantom fault code when the problem is only that the water cant heat up to the correct temp
-
well the only thing I can think of is a power outage as they don't have separate fuses, check the earth and live feed to the unit or go the old way and take a wire from the working light so they both work?
-
probably need it higher than axle stands but still need them for safety reasons I use a large trolley jack but a garage lift would be easier, timing belt should be changed if you have owned it from new or have all the service documents as it might have been done

The ECU is programmed to disregard differences in wheel rotative speed below a critical threshold, because when the car is turning, the two wheels towards the center of the curve turn slower than the outer two. For this same reason, a differential is used in virtually all roadgoing vehicles. If a fault develops in any part of the ABS, a warning light will usually be illuminated on the vehicle instrument panel, and the ABS will be disabled until the fault is rectified. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-lock_braking_system
-
ABS doesn't work below 25mph and useless in the snow so don't get over confident with it as it can be dangerous if you don't understand how this works, I've seen people get caught out by that ;) not to put you off though as it is very good in the right conditions ;)

now you will have to think in a different way and my self as it never occurred to me this would cause something like this

a little research and found this CECINA, ITALIA Cecina, ITALIA hi, i search one injection fuel pump diesel lucas xudl p01 for fiat ulysse 2.1 td, engine ref. hi, i search one fuel injection pump diesel lucas xudl p01 for Fiat Ulysse 2.1 td, engine ref. p8c. i know, this pump is mounting on peugeot citroen engine 2.1 cc. i know, this pump is mounting on Peugeot Citroen 2.1 cc engine. even. how much, if you have this rechange? how much, if you have this replacement?
-
http://service.citroen.com/ you only need to give a verified email address and nothing else like your name and address just put q in every box ;) and select the language your using and verify it first
-
hmm perhaps looking what other makes of car use that engine like Mercedes/ford fo instance, many engines are used if other cars that's why they call it PSA group ( Nissan-subaru-mitsubishi-Peugeot-Renault ) to mention just a few and other things to consider are who makes the pump and what other pump could take its place? as long as it give the fuel deliver pressure constant it can be replace with aftermarket and can be place in another place outside the tank or build it in, come on the old days when we made things fit and work;)

in theory you are right that's if you could see the bi-metal strip which I doubt "same as the thermostat you know its there but you have to remove it and test it to see if it works" apart thom the obvious problems it causes when it doesn't work
-
ABS is a funny thing and and mixed with traction control its a total pain because when you loose traction with one wheel like dirt tracking  the light comes on but its not a problem because its doing its job same as the ABS so as long as the light goes off there is no problem :o
-
I know what your saying but the bimetal strips isn't electonicly resultant to the ECU but will throw codes as should be expected when it fails
-
pic will be deleted because my photo bucket is getting full but I can email it when required
-
probably an earthing fault ie: indicators stop and lights come on indicates a live/earth issue within the headlight unit ( all the wiring loom to the lighting system run together so any fault in the loom being earth or live will make other systems live hence the lights coming on and indicators going off, if you have a weak or corrosive earth then it will make all the system live ( like a switch being turned on to switch fancy lights on ) but you cant turn if off because its a bad earth so the system stays live and others fail because of it, just conclusive ideas to help you

http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=h...en-GBGB296GB297 click on the 4th image and look at the red dot near the hand break leaver that's where the switch should be if its not there is has been removed because of known problems and wired without the switch so you wont be able to turn the airbag off
-
the bio metal strip is a heater element so expands when hot a bit like the thermostat none electronics but coolant temp controlled but still has that domino effect and that's why you get that fault code so if it didn't do its job it would shut the fuel off, never thought of that but its logged in the gray matter now for future reference
-
that explains things a little better now I would suggest the problem could be a poor connection on the rear of the dash rather than any fuse because it comes back on, take the dash out and spray some dielectric cleaner on the contacts to clean then this can be bought from Maplins or any electric store and used for computer boards disconnect all the plugins and spray them it wont damage anything as it dries almost instantly and cleans all the contacts then see how it goes
-
look at the hand break area there should be a key hole put the ignition key in and switch it to disable the passenger airbag ( the airbag light might stay on but that's to let you know the passenger airbag is off and will clear when turned back on )
-
truly unbelievable indeed :o I would have checked every source to beat that http://www.hydraulicpumps.co.uk/serviceexunits.php useless link ( Note: We cannot assist with Lucas Diesel pumps ) didn't notice that bit
