  3. sounds like the clutch was breaking up hence the noise has now gone
  4. Turn on ignition (don't start engine) Enter current code (red light goes green) Press C button once Enter in new 4 digit code Press C button again once New code is now entered and confirmed by 4 beeps Start engine

  13. P1390 Octane adjust pin out of self test range P1291 Injector High side short to GND or VBATT - Bank 1 SIRIUS81 (EW10D)- Fuel pressure regulation fault. Output/Locking. Fuel rail pressure. Low value received.2 P1291 For EW10D, SIRIUS81, check the operation of the high pressure fuel pump. This code seems to relate to failure. I have witnessed this fault, with the HP pump dropping pressure off, intermittently, and the regulator trying to increase pressure, as expected.
  14. have you more than one key? if yes then put one in the ignition and turn it to position II then put the remote close to the receiver and press the lock/unlock button to see if it resets it and if it does repeat it with the other remote, mostly what happens is the remote is pressed out of range which blocks the remote and needs resetting
  15. enter the code then press C now enter the new code and press S, factory code is 1111, it might be air in the system run engine till fan cuts in then put the heater to full heat then bleed the system
  16. well that good news and a cheap fix ;)
  17. never an easy one this but mostly down to a poor connection or the hazard relay is about to pack up which would knock out both indicators and hazards
  18. anti roll bar is hard to check because its always under load so always feels tight only real way to check them is to take the load of the rod and you should feel the excess movement on the ball joints, mine did the same so I replaced both sides and the noise was gone ;)
  19. it does sound like bushings to me like they were worn and sticking saying that the front strut leaking wont help anything and could be the total cause of the problem because your not getting the air out of the system, these systems hate air in them no matter how little why not try a breakers yard or ebay
  20. problem with the xantia is you need diagnostic tool to reset it and check for faults, I have the ELIT which does this so if your close to teesside I will check it for you free of course
  21. your is electronically controlled so activated when the key is turned on where the standard none hydro is mechanical and driven by the engine, the height is computer controlled so you don't drive off when its all the way down and wrecking the underside of your car ;)
  22. what voltage is the battery reading ( engine off ) it should be 12.5, with engine running it should read 14.5 if its not and below 12.5 the alternator brushes are stuffed. the wiper thing is probably the stalk on the steering wheel column and the contact might need cleaning ( dielectric spray is good ) from maplin its used to clean computer boards
  23. annoying indeed I hate all this new tech thats useless to start with and a cash earner for the dealers ;) I would remove the bulb so it stops annoying you as the cars runs ok its obviously a bogus fault then rip the damned filter out cough :)

  25. the stop light normally means the LHM fluid is low so the pump is working hard to keep it up to drive height
