  1. this is good to a point and generally over priced but cheaper than the dealer so ill give it a 1 out of 10 success unless you better control the prices and not take advantage of people, its not all about finding cheap parts but fitting them ( THE PRIORITY ) we all know how scrap yard work " 50% less than the dealers " try fitting the part in your price :)
  2. no one will give this information due to anti theft laws but you could look in the fuse box flap as that's where the books are stored failing that its a dealer job and proof of ownership
  3. Citroen don't make timing belts! Gates do and also the full timing kit and updated after 1998 due to failed tensioners ( if in doubt change it ) and consider the water pump while your in there
  4. break pad wear indicator, Ive seen loads of cars without it being connected and doesn't do any harm as long as you keep an eye/ear on the pads so they don't wear out and damage the discs
  5. you might be right there. edit# im back with limited interest ( old before the new ) so i still working on the newer cars and my enthusiasm is high due to the technical abilities required to fix things
  6. I thank you for the support but im not up to date with the C series and much more down to earth with the older cars up to 2000 xantia/BX/XM/BMW/Mercedes/Audi so ill be looking for a site that stays with this type, I have enjoyed my time here and hope I gave some good answers :P
  7. it seems i'm not in the C class area so my advice is wasted and I bid you farewell and success in your ventures
  8. silly answer but did you bleed the system?
  9. got my software running including the images, awesome stuff this is but to a none tech its worthless :(
  10. is the alternator ok because if its giving out too much power because of bad carbon brushes it will fry the battery and then the electrics, there are 2 sides to a battery ( CCA ) cold cranking amps and the battery 12v side so it might look like its got good power but if it cranks slow then the CCA is low and you could have a power drain somewhere
  11. http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=h...l%3Den%26sa%3DN not sure where it is at the moment but ill have to check my data to see if its in there
  12. the car has to meet the emissions and that doesn't mean it needs a cat it can be programmed to lower the emissions so its not a physical thing they look for
  13. what ECU are you looking for/?
  14. very good answer ^^ break discs are alternating temps and made of pig iron so the rust naturally
  15. it means I cant spell and used to a mobile phone lol http://search.abc.net.au/search/search.cgi...amp;form=simple
  16. the system is on an ECU and separate from the car so diagnostics sets it up ( ELITE ) which I have and works on cars up to 2002 if the ECU is the same
  17. nope  but I have a few cars old and new and I consider them as collector value but only time pays back so a good investment for the kids ;)
  18. awesome little car not my style though because im a big fan of v6/v8/v12 and perhaps you will evolve into this area, any thing below 2.0 none turbo i consider a stater car and welcome to the road
  19. even new discs rust ( I bought a new jag a while back with 3 miles on the clock ) show room example discs rusted but it was surface rust only and normal as the discs cant be rust proofed like the car due to uneven heat transference, if its new why does it need new pads?
  20. http://lhc-first-beam.web.cern.ch/lhc-firs...HCsyncTest.html due to happen next week
  21. your system needs resetting if it comes on when the switch is off and you need diagnostic to do that
  22. they are 2 different sizes and they have 4 of one type and 4 of the smaller ones ( 2 per cylinder ) I had one once the 2.0 twin spark and quick but very hard suspension if you could say it had any at all lol but it was ok for weekends for b roads ad hugged the road like nothing else Ive owned
  23. the fan cuts in at approx 85c so 92-95c is as if it were stuck in a traffic jam and the fan is working hard to cool the system so with this information I would suspect all the speeds of the fan are not working and that could be a couple of relays are down ( the fans have 3 speeds and 3 relays ) im not on my main computer so I cant say where they are so perhaps someone will tell you
  24. you will also notice a button with a U turn arrow on it on the heater controls if that's on is recirculating interior air and it will fog up, it needs to be off so exterior air is drawn in
  25. never fix it yourself when you paid for it
