  1. You need to be an I T whizz-kid these days ! Which rules me out ....
  2. I think that applies specifically to electrically adjustable seats
  3. It must be virtually impossible to drive without PAS working ?
  4. Mine's probably OK in that case as it gets up to halfway(ish) on the gauge and stays there
  5. On the topic of fuel consumption increasing when it's cold . how long should a diesel C5 take to reach normal running temperature ? Mine's taking 3 miles ,wonder if it needs a new thermostat ?
  6. Not been able to find this site for a couple of weeks Is it me ? I'm not very computer literate
  7. Have a look at the small print ,What is the definition of " exchange " ? You may be better off exchanging you car for something more easily sellable and then p/ex'ing that against the car you want
  8. Very sorry to hear that, John
  9. Has anyone tried the bulbs (D1S) that are sold on EBay for a fraction of what main dealers charge?
  10. Take the bumper off -it's not hard .Then either you can tip out the old clip or see properly what you need to do to wire the bulb in I wouldn't use silicon sealant -halogen bulbs get very hot
  11. Have a good time in Spain and when you've done your cambelt I'll pick your brains .Or can I come round and watch ?
  12. I'm in Worcester Park so we are nearly neighbours with the same car ! Mine's on 77K so could be due to be done soon Have you changed your cambelt yet ?
  13. I had that about 3 years ago .Garage told me it was the strut leaking ,No visible leak as fluid went back up the return pipe
  14. It's not good the run low on fuel as the fuel in the tank cools the internal pump , plus if you suck up all the muck at the bottom of the tank ,it won't help
  15. Skodas may be good cars but they are no longer bargain-priced I'm toying with a newish Renault Laguna Estate to replace mine . 2.0 diesel and 150BHP
  16. Try simple things first like squirting WD40 into the runners .If it still creaks , you have a problem developing IT's not that hard to get the door cover off to have a look around

    Gear Knob

Meant to mention you need a good stapler !
  18. This has cured (?) itself with occasional squirts of WD40 and a bit of exercising in and out .Left it a while and now it's OK I was going to have a look at it next time the front bumper had to come off for a sidelight bulb change

    Gear Knob

Do you mean gear lever knob ? Just pull it hard - it will come off I changed my gaiter for a leather one off EBay and it looks nice Use a cable tie round the top and staple the bottom to the plastic insert off the old gaiter
  20. The friction material on the pads is "stepped" Why ? Does this mark the point at which you change the pads ?
  21. You should budget for a new battery .Once they lose their efficiency all sorts of strange electrical faults will happen
  22. MIne did it once when the battery was flat and I jump started it . Been fine ever since
  23. What sort of tape do Citroen provide to stick the wire to the glass ?
  24. Tried the WD40 so I think I'm going to take it out for a strip down. The washer covers are very fragile where the 2 bottom legs clip on so I've drilled and wired mine so they can't fall off and get lost
  25. Is this the twin turbo 170 BHP turbo engine ?
