Eolys fluid is only used in some diesels

I would have to say that the C1 has proved to be trouble free. As far as water leaks are concerned i would assume the seals your dealer refered too were the door aperture seals, which i note appear to have now been modified. My recommendation would be to find another dealer to look at the problem, or speak to Citroen UK so they can liaise with your dealer.

I have sent you a Private Message ....hope this helps.

Sweet sickly smell.........i'd put money on it that either the radiator or the heater matrix is leaking. Suggest you get someone to carry out a cooling system leak test and see where it comes out. I used to have a ZX that had a slight weep under the bonnet that smelt like it was in the car when started from cold.......fortunately for me it was the radiator so it wasnt major cost..........but you want to hope it isnt your heater matrix, i seem to remember its dashboard out to replace it.

I'm not aware of any problems of the kind you have experienced, nor any idea of the spacers they have used to overcome the problem in the past, so i'm afraid i'm not gonna be much use in this.

I assume your pump has 2 solid pressure pipes coming out of it......one of the solid pipes provides power steering pressure. It only leaves the Pinion valve or the steering ram as possible faulty components, if i was to take a guess it sounds like the pinion valve assembly on top of the steering rack has failed. Anyone for other suggestions?

I wont take offence at that!

No idea......but it looks like a bit of citroen!

Some of the wheels dont have a hole in the centre of the hub, which as most of the wheel balancing equipment uses a long shaft, a flat hub and a taperred collar held together with a giant wingnut, you will find the wheel wont slide over it. In this instance you nead a mounting flange that bolts to the wheel using your normal wheel fixing holes, some garages have a universal 'fits all' mounting flange which are better than nothing. We enquired as to how much for an adapter on our machine and at the time several years ago it wasnt deemed a worthwhile expense........so we had one made. It works so well we have never replaced it.

Can they balance a wheel without a hole in the middle as fitted to Citroen ?
-
I always charge for balancing if the tyres arn't bought from us.......and seeing as the customer at this stage is ussually more picky we roadtest to make sure balance problems are resolved.....this takes about an hour. Next time you go shopping for tyres see if they have the correct tools to balance the wheel, if they havent make sure you dont get charged for balancing......or better still dont buy your tyres there.

Your not likely t o do any damage......its extremely rare that that the computers wont reset, so your probably right in looking for an alternative dealer

first off.......has the berlingo ever had a Windscreen replaced? It isnt unussual for the screen to leak afterwards and run down the harness into the BSI.....it maybe that the harness connector has corrosion in it and changing the BSI alone hasnt resolved it. From memory i have a feeling theres an earth connector for the BSI on the passenger side footwell just forward of the door hinge pillar under the carpet screwed into the 'side' of the car (not floor)....worth a look to see if it has come loose (instrument panel earth). There is one also on the drivers side in same position, the blower motor appears to earth through this. and under the bonnet you have a fuse boxbetween it and the indicator you will find various earths bolted to the inner wing......have a look for corrosion as the BSI earths here.

Personally i think the C1 is an excellent vehicle as a first step for anyone getting into 4 wheels. When i started out it was an old 2nd hand escort mk1, kids today dont want second hand and parents pressured into providing transport for kids at University can justify the cost of something like a C1 with the knowledge that running cost will be low together with the benefits of 3 year warranties. A real benefit of the C1 which is often missed by people who 'borrow them' is the fact that there are a minimal number of computers, it isnt high tech but does the job its designed for in a reliable manner.....what they do pick up on is: - 'i've taken £12,000 worth of car in to be fixed under warranty and they've lent me one of these poxy things with no fuel'........absolutely no gratitude.....dont they realise all the C4's are off the road having updates  Seriously though....Considering the C1 is becoming quite popular its nice to see that the owners arnt having problems with niggling faults and warning lights flashing all over the place. As for quality......you get what you pay for........but it definately isnt a Lada.

After we have carried out the work, of which the regeneration is the last bit, we give the customer the bill and send them to the fuel station..........if the customer doesnt go to the fuel station thats when the problem occurs.......hang about here for 5 minutes gonna look something up........will post in a mo Risk of particle filter clogging In the event of prolonged idling, regeneration assistance is ineffective (exhaust gas temperature insufficient) . The filter is clogged by particles . The injection ECU informs the BSI . The BSI requests that a message is displayed on the multifunction screen (risk of particle filter clogging) in the following cases : particle filter fault (filter overloaded) . The aim is to encourage the customer to adapt his driving to facilitate particle filter regeneration . Within 100 kilometres after the message appears, the customer must drive for at least 3 minutes at a speed greater than 50 km/h which should cause the message to disappear . Failure to comply with this recommendation will lead to the following fault : particle filter clogged . The injection ECU informs the BSI which requests activation of the following components : - Request to illuminate the diagnostic LED - Request to display a message on the multifunction screen (antipollution problem) Minimum level of additive reached The injection ECU informs the BSI which requests activation of the following components : - Request to flash the service LED on the control panel (for 20 seconds after the ignition is switched on) (*) - Request to display a message on the multifunction screen (minimum diesel additive level) (after the ignition is switched on) (*) (*) depending on vehicle equipment . Procedure for service LED switching off . After the filling of the additive reservoir, the service LED remains lit until the next injection of additive into the fuel . Procedure for service LED switching off : Opening of the fuel filler cap - add fuel Closing of the fuel filler cap Starting the engine Stopping the engine I dont suppose you want to teach your dealer to suck eggs, and i expect they have done as required........i would try adding some fuel......if you do need to take it into them to have any rework donr though i would suggest taking it in with half a tank so you can add the fuel at the end.

The immobilizer isnt connected in any way to either the central locking system or the indicators......infact the only common item they share is the vehicle battery. With regard to the visual indication when locking the doors, not all models had indicator flashing......does yours have an alarm?.....does your remote have one or 2 buttons?
