  1. Correct. My brother had a quick look under the bonnet last night and on each side of the engine there is a perfect place to place the electrical units needed to initialise the HIDs. Will do - I think you will be impressed too...my brother tends to be a bit of a perfectionist! This was one of the questions that I asked my brother about yesterday - apparently the kit doesn't require any extra bits and pieces..its all ready to be fitted, and doesn't require any connection to the battery. Not a clue ! A good one  This is one of the better kits around (apparently) - 5 of us ordered at £80 per kit. I believe they do - but I borrowed one out of my neighbours Mini  Will be sure to pass that onto my brother when he fits them...
  2. Yes...although I'd take it to an expert just to put your mind at rest...
  3. Yeah I still would really like the VTS alloys, but 17" would be downsizing for me!
  4. It is the "True" Xenon system, as the complete kit comes with the equipment (cannot remember the technical name of the box) to reach the required voltage. Did not know RE: the headlamp washers though - this is something I will have to take up with my brother! As for fitting - I'm told there will be a mass fitting session up one of the boy's house, probably this weekend, and my brother is a master at all things electrical so I have faith! At the end of the day if it doesn't fit/work, then I will simply sell them on. Ta for the good luck message though!
  5. Just got off the phone to my brother - called him for something completely different but ended up being roped into a multi-buy arrangement for Xenon Headlights. He drives a Seat Cupra, and a number of members of seatcupra.net are multi-buying DIY generic xenon kits for their cars. My brother has seen the kit up close and personal and is raving about the quality, so has convinced me to buy in and he will fit them. Just transferred the money now... Posted from Seatcupra.net : http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v95/jonzy/23112006241.jpg Photo doesnt do it justice, these are ****ing amazing. Left hand side is HID and the right hand are osram 'ice white' standard bulbs. They look blue in the pic but they are really white. The only way to see the difference is to turn the main beam on, then you can really see the difference. Comments? :P
  6. If the C4 you will be driving is the one that you will be looking to buy, I'd just make sure that there are no nasty noises while driving - I.E tappets, suspension, engine. Other than that as long as the ride is reasonable then you look be looking good! I assume the Meg 225 is far more expensive, so remember to take that into consideration when you weigh up the pros and cons!

  8. Aww Mat you need to eat your Greens!
  9. I hope the problem is solved for you now m8. I had this problem once, although it was self-inflicted - the girlfriend left her window open overnight, which happened be the night we had torrential rain...I had a pool in my rear footwell in the morning! It took 3 days to dry out completely!!!
  10. Arhh...didn't know you had to press the button when folding the key away - probably explain's why my key has gone a bit "limp" *snigger*...
  11. I bought seperate "V" & "T" badges from ebay - A number of sellers on there offer individual letters, although I had to ask as they didn't advertise this. There are now joined VT badges on ebay though which I think would look better - may get some of these in the future.
  12. Waaaa-tish...... I WANT A TURBO !! :D
  13. I know I'm going to regret this but how much did you get them for? I'm susposed to be the king of ebay !!
  14. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c32/streettech/Picture001.jpg OLD PICTURES without colour coding... http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c32/streettech/PIC00041.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c32/streettech/PIC00039.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c32/streettech/6b254021.jpg
  15. My VT has the "Dark" feature where the internal lights can be switched off, but that function was only accessible through the standard stereo, which I no longer use.. Did have it useful anyways! B)
  16. Stupid Bloody Van Drivers - He even had the cheek to wave thanks as he pulled out !! I had the same problem with the horn though...its difficult to find quickly when you need it, although one that screams "twwwwaaaattttt" like Wozza suggested would be good! It actually quite appropriate, as that was the very word that left my lips when the (other) van driver reversed into my car a few months back...Trouble is I had my windows up so he didn't hear me!
  17. I want the new Seat Leon lights - the circular LED ones - they are cool as !! I suppose if I wait long enough somebody will make them..
  18. Read first part of post - Read second part of post - :D
  19. lol girlfriend does mine in the mornings as well - Im just getting out of bed by the time she is warming the car up! :D
  20. I got to test the car's brakes this morning in wet conditions - a van pulled out of a junction across my path, and must have thought I was going to stop and let him out...slammed on the brakes - they work very well !!!
  21. Well I have a pretty decent Alpine system so I have the option of selling that to recoup any outlay on new equipment - but I REALLY want TV in the car... I'm constantly looking on ebay for that bargin that nobody has seen yet...that's how I got most of my equipment/parts so far...I think I wrote a list on here once listing how much I've saved on each part I've bought...it was a considerable amount...
  22. Right, You guys know what work I've done on the car, but I'm wondering what to do next - bear in mind I love doing stuff on a budget so it's gotta be relatively cheap and worth the expence. I'm after a screen for the car (either the JVC AVX2 3.5" screen/HU or a flip-up 7" screen) and I want to play DVDs/watch TV. Any ideas?
  23. Your mate eh...sure.... Sure...I bet you loved that car! :P   :P
  24. I'm touched... Can't say I have any of those jumpers your on about! Cheeky B&^%£$%D...
  25. 16,500 miles since March 2005
