The lock can not be fully closed or there is a wiring problem or possibly the lock is now faulty. Does it do this when you close the lock around a screwdriver ? If a broken wire the section between the door and pillar is worth checking first.

My other thought was a problem with the clutch/dmf - how many miles has it done ? -
Shaking Trembling When Accelerating C5 X7 Exclusive
paul.h replied to jaysams80's topic in C5 - Technical
It is likely to be related to the off side driveshaft since it started after changing it. Was the driveshaft new and was there an intermediate bearing on it that needed changing ? If you go round a left or right bend does the shaking alter ? Just thinking of anything related to the driveshafts, also were the driveshaft hub nuts tightened to the correct torque of 325 Nm ? Are there any wheel bearing noises, whine/drone when moving which increases as speed increases ? It is probably not related to tracking so if the tyres have been wearing evenly it should not have changed since you did it after replacing the track rod ends. -
You will need high tensile rod, how about this https://www.orbitalfasteners.co.uk/en/products/m10-x-1m-high-tensile-grade-10-9-studding-threaded-rod-steel-self-colour-din-975?utm_medium=google_shopping&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=google_shopping&gclid=EAIaIQobChMInfirgOjW1QIVzbXtCh094ALmEAUYBCABEgL1BfD_BwE

Probably best to buy a new one. You could be our only petrol C5 owner on here.

I have not done this job or used this tool, but if it is just to draw a bush out, could you not make something up using a threaded bar/nuts/washers/sockets/old bearing shells/even bits of wood ? Just seems a lot of money for a one off job. Threaded bar is only a pound or so from Toolstation, as well as nuts and washers. I have put your car info as your signature from one of your previous posts. You can edit this if you go to your profile.

I have not done this work before so am unable to help. You could try a message to coastline taxis who has a lot of experience with Citroens and may have come across this before.

Steam Vapour From Exhaust But No Other Hg Symtoms

I have no idea if the 2 engines are interchangeable but you could check the parts diagrams to see if there are any common bits. 2008 Relay Abs And Airflow Sensor Fault

Welcome to the forum. Did you delete the fault codes after the new parts were put on and are the new parts original equipment ones from a Citroen dealer ? What were the fault codes ? -
Steam Vapour From Exhaust But No Other Hg Symtoms
paul.h replied to MrMoonstone's topic in Problems and Fixes - C5
Welcome to the forum. First thing will be to check the temperature sensor since these often fail on Citroens giving a false high temperature indication. A new 1 is only around £20. If you have a code reader that gives live data you can see what temperature it is giving, should be around 15°C before starting the engine first thing and then gradually rise to around 83°C when the thermostat should start to open and the radiator top hose warm up. Then possibly get to around 90 ish with the fan starting at about 96°C if it gets hot enough. Without the code reader the engine temp gauge will be just below the mid point when the thermostat opens. -
Citroen C3 1.4 Desire Bonnet Catch
paul.h replied to Oldsparky's topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
Welcome to the forum. It might be possible to unbolt the lock by working from under the car and reaching up to it. The Haynes manual shows 2 bolts holding the lock in place on the radiator support frame. Also the cable to it is at the bottom of the lock so if the problem is just the cable has snapped/seized then the lever on which it fastens can be worked from under the car and reaching up. If the problem is the lock has seized then once you have access to it give it a good coating of grease and keep moving it to free it off. -
Sounds as if the door lock or striker plate on which it locks need adjusting, possibly the plate needs moving out towards the outside of the car slightly. You can test the lock by closing it around a screwdriver. The door position open or closed switch is built in to the lock so its latch needs to fully close for it to lock and for the alarm to work.

Welcome to the forum. The ignition and pump faults may not be related but you might have reset the bsi when removing the fuse. Some possible pump problems from the C5 Technical section Common Problems topic: 54. Suspension pump not running. Before replacing the pump, check the relay first. See this topic by danshrekman76 http://www.citroen-o...re-relay-fault/ On the C5 (X7) 2008 on model, check the pump fuse in the battery fuse box http://www.citroen-o...ery-fuses-list/ In this topic by 3001pv, the pump fuse kept blowing. The pump motor end plate was removed and a black mess of grease and carbon brush dust was cleaned out and the pump now works normally http://www.citroen-o...ult-code-p1351/ Here cleaning the pump did not work but something was causing it to stick, post by jaysams80 http://www.citroen-o...m-fixedkind-of/

You can get the Citroen service box workshop procedures on dvd through ebay to put on your computer. Whilst these can be copied/pasted, the diagrams can not and need the dvd to see them. There are also sites that you can download from but it takes a long time due to the file size. http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/23950-c8-workshop-manual/ Also looks as if the download can be obtained on dvd http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DVD-Citroen-Workshop-Service-and-Repair-Manual-All-models-and-engine-variations/302360626978?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140221143405%26meid%3Da1a3b007d15947458f525d1e45347b0b%26pid%3D100010%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D122626509014&_trksid=p2047675.c100010.m2109 The parts diagrams are also useful and can be seen free if you register on the service.citroen site as an other professional non emergency services and as a member of the Citroen Owners Club. Once on the site use your VIN (VIS) top left to find your car. http://service.citroen.com/do/changerParametres You should be able to tell from the diagrams if there are any rivets but I would think you will see any with the door card removed.

You have probably already done this by now but I think the glass is first removed and then the winder mechanism. This is part of the procedure to dismantle a door: Raise the door glass a third of the way up to give access to the screw ( 18).Remove :The (18) bolt (This is at the edge of the rear winder mehanism)The bolts (19) (these 4 are the front edge of the winder mechanism)Push the fixed glass rail towards the front of the door, in order to free the front part of the window. Remove :The glass (20)The caps and the bolts (21) (these 2 are at the rear of the door)The fixed glass (22) (this is the quarter light glass)Disconnect the connector at " d ".Remove the electric window mechanism ( 23).

I have edited the procedure to remove all the links to ebay websites, we do not allow spam or advertising on the forum. Note the driver's door can be left open but its lock closed around a screwdriver so the car thinks the door is closed since the door position switch is part of the lock. Rather than 3 minutes, it has to be long enough for the bsi to shut down and save any settings which could be more or less time but can be noticed by the electrics going quiet.

C5 2009 Tourer No Power To Rear 12V Socket And Tail Lift
paul.h replied to Chrisc5v6's topic in Problems and Fixes - C5
You can add an icon any time but there seems to be a problem adding icon pictures (avatars), some people have been able to put one on, others not. It needs admin to do a fix but he has not been on the site since last September. There are other problems that need fixing as well, I had to change my email address but it sent a validating one to my old address which no longer exists so I am now validating. Fortunately it has not stopped me doing things on the site as a new member would find. http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/24362-adding-a-profile-avatar-picture/ -
C5 2009 Tourer No Power To Rear 12V Socket And Tail Lift
paul.h replied to Chrisc5v6's topic in Problems and Fixes - C5
You should not lose any settings other than the date/time when you disconnect the battery, provided you let the bsi shut down. Post 7 has the procedure I use and there is probably something in your handbook. I am servicing our C3 this week and checked the battery at the battery terminals. Was about 12.6 volts when the bsi was not doing anything, then after opening a door and not giving the bsi time to shut down it dropped to about 12.4 volts. With the engine running it was about 13 volts so the alternator might be one that can vary its output so I might do some more checks later. So the old expectation of about 14.4 volts with the engine running might not apply on newer cars. -
C5 2009 Tourer No Power To Rear 12V Socket And Tail Lift

12.03 volts is low, is it turning over slowly on the starter ? You could do with giving the battery a charge disconnected from the car and then seeing what happens. A full charge should be about 12.7 volts and anything less than about 12.3 volts is low. 14.06 volts also seems a bit low, are you measuring the voltage on the battery ? -
It could be you need the other engine fan to be able to work. Is the cabin fan also working ? Other things to check would be the outside air temp sensor, the engine temp sensor, the air con pressure sensor, the air con evaporator temp sensor. For these you will need a diagnostic check, so a trip to a dealer may be needed. Also from the Citroen procedures 1.1. Preliminary checksVisually check : The air-conditioning compressor :Check that the frame has not suffered any knocks and that it is not distortedCheck that the pulley has not suffered any knocks or bangsCheck that the clutch engages when the coil is supplied with 12VCheck the condition of the supply cable and of the connectorCheck that the body of the air conditioning compressor is not cracked (at the air conditioning compressor fixing points)Check that the air conditioning compressor intake and discharge ports are not damaged

I do not know about using the Lexia, but the Citroen service box procedures suggest only 1.57 litres of eolys 176 is put in when new for the 160 hp 2.0 hdi. Plus it should use about 0.4 litres every 30000 km. So you may have put in enough for about 300000 km which possibly could be outside the range when you find out how to reset the level.
