  1. That cover is the coil pack.
  2. It is possible the code reader you used can not work on your car since it is pre 2004 when diesel engines had to be obd compliant. If not already sorted, I would take your car to a dealer with the correct diagnositic equipment.
  3. What year is the car ?
  4. On our C4 the low pressure warning was given before the car was moved.
  5. If it is the coolant temperature sensor, it should be at the gearbox end of the cylinder head on top of the thermostat housing and have a blue or green connector.
  6. The haynes I have for the Picasso is 3944
  7. Welcome to the forum. It could be the reversing light switch is faulty or its wiring/connector. Depending on what year/engine/gearbox you have, it could be on the gearbox. Is there a RH reversing light that is working ?
  8. There is a picture of a used one on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/02-05-CITROEN-C3-1-4-8V-75BHP-MANUAL-RADIATOR-AND-COOLING-FAN-REF-EX535-1415-/162430661986?_trksid=p2385738.m2548.l4275
  9. Is there anything in the handbook ? If you do not have it you can read/copy/print in sections from here http://service.citroen.com/ddb/ You may need to select your language first.
  10. Your car looks as if it does not have a MAF so will use the MAP sensor which on your second photo is at the left end of the section after the throttle valve. P0200 Injector Circuit Malfunction - It could be one of the fuel injectors is faulty or the wiring/connector. We had 2 injectors go on our 2003 1.4 petrol C3 and they needed replacing. Have a look at the coil on each injector and see if the holes in them show the coil is rusty - the C3 is prone to water getting on them from the washer jets/piping and they fail.
  11. Amazon seem to list the 2002 to 2004 and 2004 to 2008 Haynes versions https://www.amazon.co.uk/Citroen-Picasso-Haynes-Workshop-2004-2008-x/dp/B00D5606MS https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/1859609449/ref=tmm_hrd_new_olp_sr?ie=UTF8&condition=new&qid=&sr=
  12. Welcome to the forum. Possibilities can include a bad earth for the dash and a fault with the dash. You could also check the bulbs on the dash are ok. If you go for a replacement dash be aware that the car will adopt the mileage of the dash or the ecu, whichever is highest, so if a replacement has more miles on it than your car, then the car will adopt the higher miles, even if you put your old dash back. Haynes do a workshop manual for the Xsara Picasso which is worth getting and explains how to remove the dash and to replace its bulbs.
  13. Welcome to the forum. The cam belt mileage depends on the engine installed but they all need replacing at 10 years if the mileage is not reached. The mileage can be 100k miles or more.
  14. Welcome to the forum. If you need a second key try your Citroen dealer. You will need the key code card that comes with the handbook, it is bank card size with a scratch bit on it that hides the key code. You might want to redo the photos with your reg plate covered.
  15. Welcome to the forum. I am unable to recommend anyone. Is the engine a petrol vti one ? If so the timing chain tensioner leaking oil was a common fault on some engines since it was not done up tight enough. Our 1.4 petrol vti C3 had an oil weap and when I checked the tensioner it needed tighening quite a bit to get to the required torque. The dealer wanted to replace the tensioner but I thought I would try tightening it first to save the cost.
  16. Does the C5 seem different to how you remember it or have you been spoilt by the Merc ?
  17. Depending on which country you are in, you can see the Citroen parts diagrams as a free service. Register on service.citroen as an other professional non emeregency services and as a member of the Citroen Owners Club. Then once on the site use your VIN (VIS) top left to find your car. Look under mechanical/suspension to see what is fitted on your car. http://service.citroen.com/do/changerParametres
  18. You have not said, but I am guessing you have a problem and possibly the tailgate does not unlock when you use the switch above the number plate. You might have a damaged wire in the wiring between the body and tailgate - if some of the wires in a cable are broken it may be restricting the voltage so you are not getting 12 volts. Could also be a bad earth. Also check the battery just to confirm you have about 12.5 volts there and about 14 volts with the engine running. It could also be the switch needs an internal clean or replacing if the internal contacts are not good - a way to check this is to bridge across the switch wiring connector and see if the lock opens. All the switch does is earth the supply wire from the bsi and the bsi then puts 12 volts to the lock motor. The tailgate window not opening is a common fault on the 2001 to 2008 C5 estate. This is from the Common Problems topic: 42. Estate tailgate window does not open or opens on its own when not wanted. This topic contains a fix so it will open. Citroen can supply a repair kit for about 15, part no. 653898. http://www.citroen-o...te-rear-screen/ This topic includes some photos and a fix to stop the window opening on its own (disconnect the solenoid) http://www.citroen-o...ow-opening-fix/
  19. Welcome to the forum.
  20. Welcome to the forum. I can not help but there is another member who has done the same, putting a C2 engine in a C3, unless you are the same person - if not you could send them a message to see how they managed the wiring http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/24361-c3-with-c2-vts-engine/
  21. Welcome to the forum. There are some other ideas here on removing locking wheel bolts http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/20752-how-do-i-remove-locking-wheel-nuts-without-the-key/ The timing belt should have been already replaced, interval is 10 years or about 100k miles if sooner but it depends on which engine your car has and whether petrol or diesel. Sometimes people leave the handbook in one of the drawers under the front seats or possibly keep them to sell on ebay. I also once read that unscrupulous car dealers would keep the handbooks and spare keys. If the dealer can not get a handbook you may need to go the ebay route or find one from a scrap car but you can ask on here for any help. Haynes do a workshop manual for the 2001 to 2008 C5 and I would get one if you are doing your own maintenance. On the C5 technical section there is a pinned topic of common problems to look at and there are ones covering the brakes on the problems and fixes section. If you need to jack the car up always first raise the suspension to max height to avoid possible suspension problems. Never go under the car without using axle stands since if a height sensor is caught the suspension can quickly drop to a very low level before you can get out of the way.
  22. Welcome to the forum. This topic may help http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/24512-bluetooth-easy/
  23. Sounds as if it is the turbo that has gone. I had one go on a petrol Saab and that surrounded the car in white smoke on a motorway slip road. Should be no need to remove the engine, this is the Citroen service box procedure to remove the turbo: Remove :The reaction link (1)The steering rack heat shieldThe front section of the exhaustInterpose a wooden block to move the power unit towards the front of the vehicle.Disconnect the speedometer drive from the gearbox. Disconnect the air and oil pipes (2) and (3).Remove :The clips (4)The support bracket (5)The nuts (6) (Recover the washers and spacers)The turbocharger/exhaust manifold assembly(Section (A) towards the bottom of the vehicle)ESSENTIAL : Plug the turbocharger inlet and outlet openings.2. RefittingCheck that no foreign bodies are present :In the induction systemIn the exhaust manifoldESSENTIAL : Always replace the turbocharger securing nuts and the seals. Fit the turbocharger.Lock the nut (7) first.Continue the fitting operations in the reverse order to removal.3. Precautions to be taken before starting the engineDisconnect the electrical stop.Operate the starter until the engine oil pressure warning light goes out.Reconnect the electrical stop.Start the engine and let it run at idle for approximately 30 seconds.Check all the pipes for leaks.
  24. I have put your car details as your signature to save mentioning it every time you start a new topic. You can edit this by going to your profile.
  25. I would think the oil in the sump does not need changing again, the dirt in the filter element is not likely to end up in the fresh oil. It could be the cover O ring seal is causing the cover to catch or maybe the tube inside the filter is a bit stiff in the filter case. When the filter cover is lifted up a bit as it is undone, the internal drain tube at the bottom of the filter is supposed to lift up so the filter bowl will drain to the sump and reduce the oil mess but I have found it does not really help. A lot of tissues around the filter body will help keep the mess to a minimum. It could be the cover O ring seal is causing the cover to catch or maybe the tube inside the filter is a bit stiff in the filter case. A bit of oil smeared on the cover O-ring seal helps when fitting the cover back.
