  1. One size definatly dosnt fit all. Ask paul to see if the citroen sevice thing he has will tell you what model it needs. if you can speak french you can register on it yourself and have a look
  2. What youve got there is the dilema that many mechanics have faced over the years in that you need one tool and have to buy a set
  3. I would go with what the dealer said. a 2005 model has technology that is 8 years out of date so probaly wont be compatable with 2013 electronics. If your laptop or pc was 8 years old it woulde run todays programs
  4. Your best way forward with this will be a diagnostic to see what the ecu is putting the warning on for. Otherwise its just going to be guess work
  5. yes thats right john unless your mk3 c5 is top of the range then you just get the steel springs The windows mechanism on the front of the mk3 keep failing and unless you can get one from a scrapyard then the parts alone to fix one window is nearly £300 Theres a problem with the fuse box under the bonnet failing But then again you can find faults with most cars now. The biggest mistake in my opinion that citroen have made the hydraulic suspension is no longer standard on all models. And drivers are saying that after a 10 hour shift in one there aching all over.
  6. in your post you dont mention having the eloys fluid refilled and reset. the outside temp fault will be the sensor on the near side door mirror
  7. Are the hazzards working with the key out. If they are check the earth leads to the engine and if they arnt then check the earth leads to engine and bodywork. remove and clean each one
  8. Common faults for c5 on taxis window mechanism failing Front seats Fuse box. Things drivers dont like rear door gap is a bit small with punters hitting there heads getting in. And the most important one is no hydraulic suspension. other than that they run good and are good workhorses theres a few in newcastle touching 200k and still running good
  9. Had a look at that link and it would appear that they are saying one size fits all. Anyhow is the car charging and starting ok and the only real problem is the amp gauge or have i got it wrong
  10. its connected to the lumbar supprt and if memory serves it comes of one of the runners in the seat
  11. Jus another thaught have you put the link rod back the correct way as the sensor might of spun round when it was off. It needs to be at the bottom of the sensor If its at the top disconect it and move it round
  12. let the car run for a couple of mins and put your hand on the back of the alternator and see if its hot. This sounds like a duff or wrong alternator
  13. What setting is your front suspension on now both what the display is saying and the actual hieght of the car. And just out of pure daftness do a BSI reset first
  14. youve probally knocked the ride hieght adjuster. Check that its conected and set corectley
  15. As paul has correctly said in his reply its the flap motors.really comon faults on cits and pugs. google or you tube heater flap motors and theres mountains of videos on how to fix it
  16. speaking from bitter personal experience thats a very wise thing to do
  17. does the car run ok when the knock is happening. As it could be a diesel knock on one of the injectors. a simple leak of test will show this
  18. why dont you finish the turbo off then just fire the engine up and the car will level itself out
  19. yes you can but change the flywheels regardless
  20. Youd be better off gettting a recond box there on ebay for 600ish
  21. have you got the right oil grade in as this will give you a bit of a knock till it thins out
  22. yep disconet the camshaft or crankshaft sensor either one wil stop it from starting
  23. check your mail ive sent you a message
  24. If the cells are dead in a battery you can charge it till doomsday and itl still be useless. Id be puting a new battery on the car and i thing all your problems will go away
