  1. ok things just getting back to normall will check and get back to you
  2. John is yours the model where the lights turn on themselves in the dark. If so i seem to remember something about switchn the system off with a diagnostic first then putting the bulbs in then switching the system back on. Will check at work and get back to you unless you google it first. Anybody got any ideas what was wrong with the site then
  3. Hooooooorrrrrrrraaaaaaayyyyyyyy. Well what was that all about. Good to have the site up and running again
  4. forgot all about this posting. Had something like this a few years ago. so just a few questions as some of your posts/spelling are misleading me a bit Are we talking about the display in the center of the car because in your original post (in technical) your asking about the sat nav drive. If you tried one from the scrappy and it worked why not just buy it and put it on the car. Anyway does the problem get worse the hortter the interior gets as the reason im asking is because the one we sorted had more or less the same symptoms and it turned out to be some diode thingy on the back of the stereo head unit that kept overheating and shutting the display and stalks down. Try running a couple of days with the head unit out altogether
  5. Ive got 4 of them sitting there and your more than welcome to have one. im just outside newcastle. will check postage cost for you tomorow or you can collect
  6. Whats uo with yours then
  7. Old"uns is spot on 2 little panels either side just prise out and theres ya torx
  8. without seeing what you mean the following is a guess. Id say the turbo boost pipe that runs to the boost solenoid
  9. Sorry if i was a bit short in my reply. With electrical components you really are better off getting them new from the dealers rather than the scrap yard and most discount stores will not take sensors back in the unlikley event of a fault. Youl enjoy your c5 as they are a very reliable car with only a couple of niggles
  10. c5 02 rhz engine Plug scanner inn and saying that there is no live comming from the port. Checked every fuse and wire also everything else on the car works fine. The reason we want to be into it is that a few weeks ago the management light came on for a few hours then went off. Any ideas as to where to start
  11. If you swapped the part over and it fixed it then you put old part back on and fault reappeared. Is that not the answer to your question.
  12. Just go to the dealers. less than £50 so realy not worth mucking about for
  13. I wouldnt worry to much about it.Its the pipe that comes of the inter cooler and over the years the oil vapour (if thats the right word to use) have worked there way through. drain your intercooler by taking the botom hose of and leaving it overnight and the car should be a bit more spritley
  14. Your hydraulics are fine its a clutch that your wanting. when replacing check the condition of the dual mass flywheel (if fitted) also do yourself a favour and replace the sleeve that the thrust bearing sits on (about £10) also the fulcrum arm(about £20) renew the clutch fluid and the jobs a good one
  15. yep it sounds like youve got a clutch problem. dont forget to replace the fulcrum arm and the sleeve for the thrust bearing also consider replacing the dual mass flywheel (if fitted) with a solid one. And there no adjustment possible
  16. well that sounds funny mind And il bet its not a dealers yove took the car to. Any way is it petrol or diesel and what is the milage on it, any dents in the panels and what part of the country are you in . Just out of curiosity what are the faults on it for to need a new harness If its a diesel is it a 2,2
  17. How does it need a wiring loom. And how much you looking for
  18. Did the garage do a emisions test before and after. if so what were the results
  19. Link to a turbo diagnostic page so if you got a problem with your turbo itl give you a few hints and tips http://www.turbodriven.com/en/turbofacts/t...leshooting.aspx
  20. http://www.citroen.co.uk/owner-services/se...free-mot-offer/ On the citreon uk website i came across this. If your citreon is more than 4 years old you can have a free mot.
  21. Hi Have you recently had a flat battery or changed/disconected the battery or given anyone a jump start or tried to install anything electric. is the hydraulic side of the car working fine
  22. Where you cleaning the engine with gunk/degreaser then water/jetwash if so you might have water in one of the connectors causing a short. Pull everyone off and wd them then do a full bsi reset and wake it up properly so as not to spike the software in fact id leave the battery off overnight as sometimes these have a mind of ther own. Seem to remember learning somewhere that if you turn the ignition on and off so many times it will reset it just cant bloody remember
  23. Fire the engine up and leave it running. Then put a multimeter onto the glow plugs to see if any voltage is present. test it a few time until car is at running temp. If theres voltage there then the relay is goosed
  24. Now now random youve been on here long enough to know that the only scandal techbod has is with the dealers
  25. Take the hose of the bottom of your intercooler pipe stick it in a bucket and leave overnight to see how much oil comes out of the pipe and the intercooler Also as random sugests check the maf also turbo boost solenoid valve What milage is on the car and other than that is the car nippy enough
