  1. Not to sure on the 2.2 but iwould imaging it will be where you say. it will have a green conector with 2 wires going into it. Wouldnt think its your temp gauge mind because if it was you would have other problems as the ecu wouldnt know what temperature you engine is at. When you drained the fluid did you bleed the system properly with the 2 bleed niples
  2. Ahhh techbod how you doing you havnt been on for a while and hows the 2 wheel thing going
  3. Get about 5 inches of bog standard brake pipe and push it into the rubber tube about a inch and a half at either end and that will be the end of the problem. The rubber pipe just isnt long enought and snaps. Adding the brake pipe puts in right and seals up perfect
  4. XFX - 4HX SHIFT LOCK The shift lock is a system which locks the gear selection lever in the park position «P». Unlocking the «shift lock» (normal operation). Switch on the ignition. Apply the brake pedal and keep it pressed. Using the selection lever, disengage from position «P». Unlocking the «shift lock» (with a fault). NOTE : It is impossible to unlock the «shift lock» with the « normal operation» method. The causes of the fault may arise from the following components : - «Shift lock». - Gear lever position switch. - Automatic gearbox ECU. - Electrical harnesses. - Battery voltage. Remove : - The gear lever knob (1) by pulling upwards. - The cover (2) (unclip). - The shutter. Unlock the «shift lock» (4) using a screwdriver. Using the selection lever, disengage from position «P». C5FPOCUD C5FPOCTC C5 248 CLUTCH GEARBOX DRIVESHAFTS RECOMMENDATIONS - PRECAUTIONS (AL 4 and 4 HP 20 AUTOMATIC GEARBOXES) Engines : 6FZ - RFN - RHZ ECU : Downloading, Configuration, Initialisation (Pedal) (continued) Downloading (AL 4 only). ECU downloading procedure : - Follow the diagnostic tooling procedure. A new ECU or downloaded update is always configured with the following options : - SHIFT LOCK gear selection lever position. - OBD outlet (emission standard L4). If the ECU is to be fitted to a vehicle without one or both of these options: - Carry out a configuration which inhibits the diagnosis of the option(s) concerned. Pedal initialisation. (AL 4 only). A pedal initialisation must be carried out in the following cases : - Replacement of the automatic gearbox ECU. - Replacement of the automatic gearbox. - Downloading of the ECU configuration. - Adjustment or replacement of the accelerator cable. - Replacement of the throttle potentiometer. C5 - IMPERATIVE : For a certain period of time, while the ECU parameters are adapted to the gearbox, there may be an inconsistent gear selection quality. To achieve a consistent standard, it will be necessary to carry out a road test taking in frequent gear changes Hope this helps you a bit top part tells you how to get it out of park. Bottom bit is telling you about software update for the ecu. If you need any parts you know where the car is and just help yourself. Did you put the hydraulics onto your box if so you might need to update the ecu but im not sure about it mind. Think that iannez would be able to answer that one for you
  5. Swap away just disconnect your battery and let the car stand a good while before reconecting the airbag wiring
  6. Sorry posted the wrong info sheet up so ignore the first 8 lines will put the proper one up when i find it
  7. CITROEN CARS, C4, 2.0 T/Diesel, Eng. DW10BTED4, 1997cc, 16V, 136, 138bhp, Bore 85.00mm, Belt, DOHC Glow Plug 01/2004 -> CITROEN CARS, C5, 2.0 T/Diesel, Eng. DW12TED4, 2179cc, 16V, 136bhp, Bore 85.00mm, Belt, DOHC Glow Plug 01/2001 -> the glow plugs on your model have a max of 8 volts as above. Youve tested them with 12 volts so i dont think youll have a happy set of glow plugs in it.Did you test the new set the same way before putting them in. Give it a quick to see it fires straight up it if it dosnt fire straight up then i would follow randomblokes advice. Just for future reference most heater plugs dont use 12 volts anymore its normaly 4.5volts now
  8. Still check the pipes there on the back of the rams as they dont spray fluid allover like youd imagine hydraulic pressure to it normally appears as damp patches on the plastic inner wing guard. Just a daft one this mind but try jacking the car up with a jack via the sills then put ignition on and see if the rams move
  9. Thats what i was thinking Might be worth pulling the black cover on the left of the engine bay and checking the wires to the pump and check that the earths are ok. Also if youve had the suspension pumped up full check the rubber return hoses on the hydraulic rams where it joins onto the metal pipe on the inner wing to see if they have snapped
  10. You said you had the bumper off was it to take the headlights out by anychance.
  11. just throw it over the back seat man ha ha
  12. Done a leak off test and when it happens theres no fuel to the injectors so the fault has to be on the fuel side. some kind of pressure problem
  13. citroen xantia Now i knoe it in the wrong section but its got the hdi engine in it so thought this would get answered better in heat. Any way prime the pump up by turning key on and off 6 times and car fires up and runs for 30 seconds then dies. it then refuses to start no matter what you do till you prime it another 6 times. Anyway plugged it in and got low rail pressure and p1135 udocumented not to bothered about the rail pressure as thats probally a result pf p1135. Anyway cant seem to get anywhere with p1135 so anybody got any ideas what it is. Just upgaded scanner to a solus and that dosnt say what the code is either been told that the car has already had the intank pump and injectors replaced but hasnt cured it the history of the fault was engine light coming on but was ignored as it would go off and on but still run but then car just stopped and wouldnt start
  14. can you hear the suspension pump working or not
  15. best cure for this is as follows 1 close the rear screen 2 remove the tailgate inner panel 2 Disconnect the 2 wires off the microswitch 4 replace the inner panel and just open the whole tailgate if you need to put anything in the back of the car as the system of opening the whole tailgate has worked well for years
  16. Hi Exactly what does the warning message say and do you get any other warning lights on

  19. Your right it was the 406s remember it on watchdog
  20. The one we replaced was on a citroen relay and a dodle to do. Ive never done one on a c5 so youl get better advice of iannez. From what ive seen of them though i would think that the dash would have to come out. if you need a blower theres one on a scrappy weve got
  21. Well of the road now as we just cant get round as the roads havnt been gritted so thats that going home. If anybody has any grit could you please send it to south tyneside council coz they havnt got any left to grit the roads with

  23. As normal i work me backside off on the taxis over the xmas then for the new year we go to spijkenesse (holland) as thats were i meet the c5 ha ha. Anyway new years day went to see some friends we have over there and thats were i saw it a gold c6 with white leather interior talk about class its got the lot totally in love with it
  24. remember a few years ago there was a issue with the cooling fans shorting out after the cars had been parked up. The fan would come on and cause a fire
  25. hi its behind the bumper on the drivers side. Remove the drivers side inner wheel arch and get in that way if its the first one youve removed then it might be easier for you to remove the front bumper aswell so you can see the bolts. Both are easy to remove just a few clips and screws and half hour maxs
