No Manual On Automatic 2l Petrol 50000ml Fcsh

Hi meant what type of box is in the car is it a AL 4 or a 4 hp 20 type of box. Firstly phone the citroen dealer up on the service book and ask them if they had reason to check the box as the oil change in the box isnt due till 80k and there not monsters they will help you. Does the car jerk when going from park to reverse or neutral to reverse and neutral to drive, if memory serves me right im almost sure that when there is a fault on the auto box it goes into back up mode and switches the tip tronic side of the box off. Like randombloke say the ecu is just up from the battery under a big black plastic cover held on by 4 x plastic clips once inside youle see a fuse box and the ecu,s yours will have 2 and the top one is for the auto box. Also to remove the gear knob its a pig but it does just pull up of the lever and the panel then just clips of but all youl find under there is the shift lock which is working on yours or you wouldnt get the car out of park and the electronic sensor for the manual side and is controlled by magnets on the bottom of the gear lever so be very careful what your poking at in that area. You really really need to get a diagnostic done on the box before you can move any further forward -

Ok firstly what type of auto box is it. the fault you are describeing is on the tiptronic side and will most probally be a electronic issue (thats assuming the box works fine when you have it in normal auto mode) and could be anything eg fuse, broken wire, ecu fault etc etc. In any event the auto box has its own ecu so youl have to get a diagnostic done on it before you can go any further. If it was mine id be phoning the previous owner up and ask him/her if there was any faults with the box. Just a daft one but have you checked all the connections to the box and the ecu also is the speedo and reversing lights working -
Please acept my apologies for not answering mail. been realy busy at both work and home. once again my apologies

Guess your not going to like this but if youd fixed the seat first time round it would of been ok now. anyway if your anywhere near the tyne and wear area ive got a seat you can have . Or if your sorting it yourself then i reallly wouldnt bother with the welding and go for the scrapyard option as it will save you time and money in the end. And may god have mercy on your soul for calling citroens there brilliant man

sounds like your ride height adjuster is goosed there just been a iopic on hear a few days ago about it also there another one with a pic and link to it. Its a very easy fix. i would post the links for you but i just dont know how to -
Firstly try changing the pollen filter and making sure the water system is bled properly although the most common cause of this is the motor failing that opens the vents to let the hot or cold air through
-
just done a clutch in a 2l hdi anyway used the supplier we used for low pump and got a 4 in 1 clutch kit for £280 thats solid flywheel, clutch, pressure plate and thrust bearing all by valeo. now thats not bad so with oil and labour and parts £450 and the jobs done, c5s man you just cant beat them
-
Is it exactly every 9 days or is that when you use the car and how many miles does it do before fault ocours. Could start with getting injectors checked for a sticky one
-
100% stepper motor. get it done man 20 mins start to finish if your stuck for a motor use the one of your rev counter till the replacement one comes.
-
sounds like whoever is doing your tracking isnt doing it right because as JD says the steering wheel must be centered before starting to adjust it
-
No never used them as to be honest the only faults weve had are the stepper motors
-
now come on dont tell me you dont know why want a clue £££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££

bear in mind if the one you get from the scrappy has 150k on the clock then decide to put your old clocks back in then they to will also display 150k as the ecu will always display the highest milage it gets exposed to.
-
Honestly its a doodle to do remove the black plastic cover and the motor is in front of you
-
what youve said is exactly what will happen as it always displays the higher milage
-
yep its the stepper motor. remove the dashboard by inserting a couple of credit cards under the dash below the 2 holes at the bottom of the cluster. the stepper motor is held in place by 2 white prongs DO NOT pull them apart cause they will snap and youl need a whole new unit just gently aply a bit pressure to them and pull the motor out. to put new one in line the 4 metal contacts up and push it in. replace the dash by just pushing it in then the jobs done

the breather pipe screws straight into the engine block and is held into the intake manifold my a fancy clip and rubber seal could be worth checking the seal
-
the big black plastic bit is basicly a air box and dosnt have oil going through it to remove that is just a few 10 mm bolts to remove the plastic bit on the top that is circular with a thin back pressure pipe going into it is as follows, on the right of it youul see a hole insert a 6mm socket and slacken it as its just a jubillee clip then pull the top piece off. But again this is all the air intake side of the engine so even after youve removed it i doubt if it will be " patentley obvious"

best way nto find oil leak is to clean the oil off the go to local food store and get a few bottles of bright yellow or green food colouring add it to your oil. then get a cup of tea (to drink) now start your engine up drink your tea and watch for the leak and with it being a bright colour youl see it straight away. we use bright pink but not marks and spencer pnk ha ha

disconect the wire from the handbrake switch under the lever in the center console and see if it stops of
