  1. gearbox wanted for citreon relay 2.5 diesel non turbo 02 reg. The box is the Le model box with the clutch cable running underneath it
  2. just got back of me hols and wish id just stayed there. so il start with this one not a single fault code or light on. car fires up and runs fine when cold but as son as it warms up it cuts out then runs like a bag of crap every time you try to acelerate it cuts out. had a quick look this morn and all wires/connectors fine also plenty of fuel also been told that timming has been checked and is fine. aparently it sort of ticks over but is realy chattery then eventualy cuts out
  3. have you got any engine management lights on/does the accelarator cable need adjusting. Can you feel the turbo kicking in. But lets start with the year model milage petrol or diesel and is it up to date with servicing also any kind of engine niggles
  4. Realy quiet at work both ion the taxis and the garage at the moment. So with that in mind the boy is of ski,ing with the school on saturday so the missus and me are of to benidorm for a week. mind shes started already by saying not to drink to much as she wants to hire a car (always new she was soft in the head). Anyway like to say id miss yous but i wont ha ha best regards steve
  5. Clutch will work fine. think i read somewhere that they realised the the dual mass flywheel was no good and no longer used by most manufacturers

  7. basicly yes, once youve got the panel of look at the lock you need to remove the white cover of the lock, now work interior handle and youle see a lever in the lock move it looks like its connected to nothing put screwdriver above lever and push up, failing that just pull lock to bits till it opens
  8. just get a 4 in 1 clutch kit. the engine and box is used in a few ranges (citroen/pugs/fiat) and the kits are available and have done plenty on the fiats easy to do aswell
  9. Do you mean from a dual mass to solid flywheel
  10. check your balljoints.
  11. check your balljoints.
  12. Thats a very fair price if you want to keep the car then id be taking them up on the offer. If the box was submerged in water then run i would think the clutches(friction material) would be goosed also id be very suprised if the seals on the hydraulic solienoids wernt gone aswell
  13. slow down dont go scraping it just yet.as your telling more and more of how the water got in wich wasnt realy clear in your original posting. if the water was over the top of the box then you could have a sensor fault or electrical fault. did you buy the car a damaged/repairable or have you owned it before the water got in. was the car driving ok then developed the fault or has it been like that since you got it

  15. Have you got any idea how the water got in. when the oil heats up it thins out but with it being new oil that shoudnt be the cause hear. also what type of box is in it as ive got some info on auto baxes and will look it up
  16. what was the condition of the oil on the second change. could be the clutches but its only a guess. maybe its time to take it to a auto specalist. weve got a auto box(al4 type) sitting in the corner the clutches have gone on it and your more than welcome to it as they should be able to make a good box out of the 2 of them if you want to go down that road. What age/mileage/is your car
  17. wont need to re vin them. your time and date display will still work althugh it wont tell you what radio or cd track your playing. No need to take the unit out to clean the lens just buy a cd lens cleaner and use it in situ.
  18. Think youve answered your own question there. Sounds like a noisy thrust bearing
  19. Its not a MOT failure .But when it goes altogether then your car will not move anywhere, Non citreon cv joints are £60 to £70 and take about a hour to do. Phone the dealer for a price as they might have a offer on them you never know. fitting is easy and probally a D.I,Y if your into that
  20. Sounds like contact problems in the wiper stalk.Theres a posting on here on how to strip a stalk down and clean it. Or you could just replace it with a new/secondhand one
  21. Would think that if theyve got the same part number then they would be the same
  22. was the bill resonable
  23. got to be done. did they do a diagnostic on it aswell
  24. Only had the odd few that corrode and putting a bit graese on is a excellent way to stop it. We never do but will be from now on funny never thought of doing it
