  1. Wicked red is a great colour im not at all biased honest. But like th rest i think £11k is a bit much. http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/IMG4.jpg
  2. Some bodyshops are just after scrounging as much as possible. And think it would need a bit more for Stu to lose his sense of humour. If all else fails and insurance write it off buy it back mate and stick it back on the road probably cost you under £1500 to sort it if that including new door / wing / mirror Could get it cheaper with 2nd hand parts. Wheels say £50 each to refurb can put you in touch with a guy that will sort them for you if need be Rear quarter can be sorted if there skilled enough at there job. My mums cars got some similar damage to hers although not quite covering the entire panel but goes into the rear bumper. Also her front bumper / wing is damaged. Bodyshop i use quoted her £350 for the lot. No VAT is getting charged though as im a good customer now. 3 of my cars he has had.
  3. Not gonna edit anything think people should be allowed to vent in forums. But Ouch mate. :o Shitty timing over Christmas as well. And get the police involved if there not already and describe car / owner details to them as best as possible. Must be gutting. Pisses me off when people do a runner though obviously the driver saw what happened just makes me think what if you had rolled or something would they have carried on and did a runner knowing they could have possibly just killed someone. Some complete idiots on the road. To be honest though it looks repairable. Now all you need to do is fine the guy that did it and have a few quite words with him down a back alley with a baseball bat.
  4. Tried getting the sticker off? If your careful should be able to get it off without wrecking the demister. And merry Christmas to everyone.
  5. Lol yeah we have gone off topic but think everyone was in agreement get it sorted. And the roads are damp but not that bad can still launch my car at 3000rpm without it spinning the wheels. And the cooler conditions are noticeable for me. Car just does not have the same in gear pull when its warm.
  6. colder damper weather results in increased acceleration if anything. Due to denser cooler air being taken into the engine thus more power. 16" versus 17" even though theres very little difference diameter wise. There is difference weight wise. 17's are heavier thus takes more force to turn them. resulting in lower acceleration. Why drag cars generally use smaller wheels.
  7. Depending on the mobile phone you have you can also put the tom tom software on that. And if you look around it can be found for free.
  8. See now all it needs is the WRC bodykit and it would look cool with all the dirt on it. But anyways to bring up my limp home thing was a temp sensor i needed. Also had a software update done while it was in and a few other things got rid of my squeaky seat. Exhaust was sorted out. And that wierd rattle they said they fixed but its still there 3 frigging times its been in for that rattle and everytime its been something else and its still there! Gonna have to get under the car and see if i can find it myself.
  9. Noticed a difference in acceleration or handling? Not just ride quality.
  10. Depends on what some of the AG stuff is really good. And also depends on colour of the car.
  11. Just thought id bring this back up with new pictures...shes a lil bigger now actually doubled in size. http://www.mybigspoon.com/wozza/dog/puppy2.JPG http://www.mybigspoon.com/wozza/dog/puppy.JPG
  12. Is the 1.4 noisy straight off then? As the 1.6 is near enough silent under 3000rpm. After that it sounds a little wheezy then it makes a nice noise. Revs get better as it heats up etc. As yours but sounds quite different for what is basically the same engine just smaller capacity.
  13. meant power wise but thats just if the engine is exactly as it was designed which is never gonna happen. There all different. Like mine is supposed to max out at 5800 power wise but theres still more power after that than there ever is below it.
  14. 1.6 actually sounds quite nice when the nuts are revved off it. Had it to 6200 - 6500rpm enough times. When driving hard normally change around 6200. But power is further up the rev range in the 1.6 it doesnt top out till around 5800 unlike the 1.4 which is around 5300ish. According to the engine states in the book anyway. Its a rev happy engine. Its actually got quite a low red line int he c4 in the 106 gti and c2 etc its around 7000rpm i think.
  15. Lol probably got fed up of hitting it most days its taken out. Just decided its gonna throw a wobbly.
  16. Dunno if you remember it but theres a roundabout on the motorway near where the meet was and where I live. Well I was taking off from the lights there floor it as I changed up into 2nd it just gave an error message. Popped up with the service sign on the centre display and just lost all power. I was in 2nd gear and struggling to hit 35 - 40mph. Just totally lost all power. Did it a few more times during the week every time just had to pull over turn off and on again and it was fine but I wanted to get it checked out in case its anything more serious.
  17. Did not have any stickers on my coupe either. Only bit of advertising I got was a Citroen Manchester keyring.
  18. Having recall done, Finding out why it went into limp home 3 times last week. Exhaust needs looking at. And couple rattles and squeaks. And Hams car was dirty!? Thats it the world as we know it is going to end.
  19. Mines not that dirty after 4 weeks. Then again it has barely been used recently. Hoping once it gets back from Citroen in a couple days it will be repaired and cleaned for me <_< Hopefully it'll be back tomorrow or Thursday. They wanted it for 4 days to check it over properly. Also get recall done and couple other jobs.
  20. Heres one I made earlier. http://static.flickr.com/49/107505046_c65a4b2419_m.jpg
  21. The front draws depending on how stuck they are. Just yank them out if you can get something to grip onto them with. SOmetimes a little change or somethign gets stuck down the back. Rubber no idea without seeing it. cd player no idea what can cause that.
  22. Yeah but what does 5th gear know? They say a lot of things no other motoring press says.
  23. Just bumping this back up. I have now got one of these as a courtesy car. My verdict. I WANT MY C4 BACK!!!!! I cant get comfortable in the thing. Its too bleeding small. Suffice to say on my trip to wales later today im taking the Chevy.
  24. Yeah... im gonna guess it was beer induced crap as i dont even remember getting home properly that night.
  25. Only reason i prefer remapping...cheaper and done properly its not a generic map that will work on any car its something they do with you driving the car. So each map is custom designed for that specific engine resulting in better power etc.
