check the rings on the end of the driveshafts that the sensors read.

the only thing i can think of is what kfk said but i can guarantee you 100% that it will not be a build up of pressure in the power steering reservoir.

even if it did have air con the pollen filter should have been part of the main service anyway.

unbelivable, taxi drivers know everything. bet he has a pilots licence lives in a mansion drives a bentley and only drives taxis as a hobbie. the clutch does not wear out because of the amount of miles you do. its the amount of times you change gear and how you pull away. for example a school run and shopping car may have 2 clutches by the time it reaches 70k. a reps car with 120k motorway miles will still be on its first clutch and still going strong. you dont need to see a clutch to tell if its worn. you just need to test drive the car which the mechanic will have done after he serviced the car. dont get me wrong. the clutches on these cars are crap due to the pressure plate being to weak but please ask some one for advice other than a know it all taxi driver. if he knows so mutch about cars why is he driving a taxi. there the best drivers in the world you know.

they have quoted you half an hours labor to carry out a brake service which involves removing pads, cleaning out and copper slipping carriers and copper slipping the rear of the pads to prevent this happening again after a few miles which it will if you have just sprayed a bit of brake cleaner on them. they will have also removed the lip from the disc's if there is one. the pads and disc's are clearly visible when the car is on the ramp so no need to remove wheels on first year service. should be removed on 3rd year along with rear drums to inspect liners and copper slip hubs.

you will need to look into it but dealers usually contract this type of thing out but if they had the controls fitted by a sub contractor they should still be the ones who sort it for you. you should have had the car recovered to the dealers where it was bought from and demanded a hire car with dual controls and that your car be replaced or repaired foc. this is why companies pay liability insurance.

if all the brake lights have gone off it will most probably be the switch on the pedal. pull the plug off the switch and short it out with a screwdriver or something with the ignition on and see if the lights work.

set him as my sig on preloved mate and for some strange reason it has changed it on here. took me f**cking ages to get my bike pic the right size for my sig on here so i am a bit pissed off.

they do need winding back but both turn the same way, clockwise. there quite tight and the threads are to course for a standard wind back tool and they just jam up. pneumatic wind back tools work a treat tho.

xsaras changed in 2001. some have normal switch and some have comms2000. if your radio ctrls are on the steering wheel you will have a normal switch. if there on a stalk under the wiper stalk you will have comms.
-
you should only adjust the beams using a beam setter. even more so if they are xenons.
-
the wipers is normal. you are putting it in service mode. makes it easier to change blades.

Intermittant Fault, Engine Not Firing On All Cylinders
iannez replied to Newbee's topic in Berlingo - Technical
most dealers charge around £50 for a diagnosis check but the price of this is usually knocked of the repair bill if you have it fixed by them. -
yes mate. theres only a couple of empty holes in the plug so you will have no probs finding the right one. all the phone kit does is send a earth to the set to mute it. make sure the set is pluged in and turned on so you will know when you find the right one.

dalex. mike has only had one post and that was this one. some people only come on forum when they have a problem and do not return once they have been told the answer. not even to say thanks. just follow the steps from my previous post and you will sort it. this method works with any set on any car as long as the radio has a phone mute.

1.4 lx has 15" steel wheels and 1.4 vtr has 16" alloys. if you have ever removed a vtr wheel you should know how heavy they are. tbh i have never expirienced a heavier car wheel than these. way way heavier than std steel wheel. both cars have 90 bhp and both have the same 0-62 time of 12.8 sec.
-
we are talking about a 1.4 or a 1.6 c4 arnt we. mods like these will not be noticeable on something like these. lightening fly wheels and road wheels on small engine cars only reduces the momentum they carry making them die of quickly when going up hills. think you will lose more than you would gain by doing this.

if your upgrading the turbo do the same with the dv. forge or bailey for example.

as long as you keep the rolling radius the same it will make no difference to the performance. this site will help show you how to work it out. http://www.dsm.org/tools/tiresize.htm

shame you already bought one. i have a brand new one still in the box with lead.

Intermittant Fault, Engine Not Firing On All Cylinders
iannez replied to Newbee's topic in Berlingo - Technical
if the fault was multiple missfires on all cylinders it will be the coil. -
it needs to be done with dealer diag tool. different system to the old lhm fluid systems.

get someone to press the pedal all the way down and try and turn the throttle cam. if it turns you are not getting full throttle. keep adjusting the clip untill there is no more free movement on the cam when the pedal is fully pressed. a lot of the early c8's were like this.
