  1. some ppl love senso drive and some ppl hate them. it is a standard manual box with a motor that changes gear and a actuator that works the clutch so can still suffer from worn clutches pressure plates and can be a pain to reverse park as it hard to judge biting point and if throttle is pressed to hard will leap forward or backwards. it has the bonus of being 5 speed. the auto box is a lot smother and virtually maintanence free apart from the odd oil change but only has 4 gears. if i bought one for me i would buy senso drive. if it was for better half it would be fully auto. she realy needs to drive a senso to be sure and dont forget to get her to try and reverse park it (on a hill if she's feeling brave) to be sure.
  2. check the post when you asked about the bracket. i told you where it came from and asked if it had recentley been serviced. i come on this forum night after night not for help!! but to help. i gain nothing at all from this forum. please note i am a citroen trained technician so when you put one of us down you put us all down. all i read on this forum is how crap citroen technicians are. you ignorant ppl have no idea how complex these cars are. dont expect any more help from me cos i'mm finished with the c4 section.
  3. lol. sounds about right. they give us the option to lease one or buy one (had to do one or the other) needless to say we leased it.
  4. must have had download and it has re-configured bsi. will need to go back on diag tool to turn off day running lights.
  5. agree. sounds like the spring has snapped and been caught by the cup.
  6. got monthly mag last week and it says they only sold 16 of them last year so they might be a bit cheaper after 3 year but finding one could be a problem
  7. the garage where i work took on kia aswell as citroen last year. not bad cars. if you removed badges you would swear they were toyota. the 4x4s are realy nice but the smaller ones are about as nice looking as a baboons arse. new ceed's not bad. thats the one with 7 yr warrenty. we sell quite a few and have very few probs with them unlike citroens but then again there about 10yrs behind citroen. they have just started with multiplexing and when you think citroen had it on xm's (about 95 i think)
  8. the dipstick is the only way to be sure. the level sensors are not very good and should only be taken notice of if it shows empty. do not add oil if the dipstick is showing max.
  9. have you checked engine bay fuse. (think its fuse 14) if it is the switch xsaras changed on 2001. some have comms2000 and some a regular wiper stalk. if it has radio ctrls under the wiper stalk it is comms model. if there on steering wheel it normal switch. the comms is a lot more expensive and harder to fit as you need to remove the steering wheel but nether of these need programming. 9 out of ten times its the fuse so make sure before ordering anything. good luck and hope this helps.
  10. its like this when the car is deliverd to the dealer. just means you can leave boot, doors open with out battery drain. bsi does not wake up every time something electrical is used.
  11. it pulls straight off but is realy tight and best if the bulb clip is on. be carefull with the clip. if you go to rough you can pull it off and it drops into the headlamp and you will need to remove the bumper to get the headlamp out to refit it.
  12. did one last month. fit a new seat base. the back worked fine tho so you could have a bad connection some where if the back and the base have both stopped working.
  13. had a c3 in the other week with same thing. looks like a bullet fired through glass. this had 3 eggs thrown at it all on diffrent panels. would not have belived the damage an egg could do unless i saw it with my own eyes. tried to machine polish it but could not remove all of it and the poor owner ended up having to have best part of the passanger side painted. f***ing ignorant b******s. :)

    Impact Sensor

kfk to lazy to try and spell inertia. lol
  15. there supposed to be putting a 1.6 turbo in the c4 vts this year so if it has to be a c4 this could be the one for you. it should have the same bhp or more than the 180 vts but you can do so much more with a turbo engine. if they keep it 180bhp you are going to be looking at about 210bhp with a remap. about the same as a standad saphire cosworth. mmmmm. think of the mid range.
  16. if they can fix all that for £400 not only have you got yourself a bargain you have also found a garage that sounds like its run by Carlsberg. the particle filter is only made to last as long as a full tank of eloys. it not a time or milage thing. its just as the eloys passes through it it clogs it up so if a full tank of eloys has past through it it will be about knackard. hope all goes well m8.
  17. do you mean the handle has come loose on the side of the seat and the seat is moving around. if yes then just remove the trim around the handle and you will see the screws have come out of the handle fixture. refit with 2x self tappers. if its the runners these can be bought sepratley. ope this helps.
  18. is it a split or scratch-scuff. if its a split dont mention anything about jeans or you doing it. just insist it just came away. ps dont wear jeans when you go to the dealers.
  19. they replace all the door handles as the new ones are painted instead of metal plated to stop it happening again.
  20. have you priced a seat base cover. trim repair specialists touch it in with glue and airbrush fibre over it which might work but would be a shame to go down this road and waste money if you have to end up changing the cover if it does not work or ends up looking worse. i would try for warrenty claim any way and say it just come away. we have ppl coming in all the time trying there luck so why shouldnt you. we had some one come in the other week with a 51 reg picasso with 85000 miles on it complaning the cloth had come away from around his airbag and demanded we repaired it under warrenty as he was a lorry driver and his truck had nearly 200,000 miles on it and it hadnt happend to this. he even called citroen uk about it. good luck anyway.
  21. if thats the case i take back what i said about crap diesel as i can not see anything else causing this.
  22. its a sealed race. comes complete.
  23. if you look at the bulb cover you will see a small hole each side of it. put a pick in one of the holes and lever out and the cover will fall off. the bulb just pulls out. be careful as they break easy.
  24. dont think it could be diesel m8. your car would run fine on cooking oil, just would not last as long as it would not contain any lubricant. and dont start saying thats stupid because its not. most ppl know if a diesel is over filled with engine oil it gets up into the cylinders and runs at full throttle and you can't switch it off as there is no way of cutting the feed.
  25. as air passes over the cooler (air con) it attracts the moisture (a bit like the cold tap when you run the bath.) and it drips off into the bottom of the heater box and runs out of the drain. thats why you use air con to demist windscreen. it removes moisture from the air. no moisture no misting up.
